vmax Posted November 26, 2019 Posted November 26, 2019 (edited) Quote The 2019 Ravens continue to rewrite the record books. Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson’s 7-yard touchdown pass to wide receiver Willie Snead IV in the fourth quarter of Monday night’s game against the Los Angeles Rams was the team’s 47th score of the season, tying the 2009 Ravens for most in a single season. The score gave the Ravens a 42-6 lead over the Rams, the fourth time the Ravens have scored at least 40 points in a game this season. The touchdown pass was Jackson’s fifth of the game and 24th of the season, tying him with Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson for most in the NFL. vmax Posted November 26, 2019 Posted November 26, 2019 Vinnie Iyer from Sporting News has written a great article on Lamars as the MVP. He breaks down Lamars numbers that end any debate on his status and hold on the MVP award. He puts Lamar's statistics in a historical perspective. It's a very good read. https://www.msn.com/en-us/sports/nfl/lamar-jackson-s-mind-boggling-numbers-now-end-all-nfl-mvp-debates/ar-BBXjY6d?ocid=msn360 Everybody's in "Shock and Awe" mode at this phenomenon, trying to wrap our brains around what's happening, so this article helps explain the facts about what we are witnessing. tsylvester Posted November 26, 2019 Posted November 26, 2019 I am so happy to have a grest young qb. Like Mahomes, I don't think Lamar is as good if he had been drafted by any other team. These two young men ahow just how important it is for a qb, especially, to be drafted by the right team, the right coach. Quote
oldno82 Posted November 26, 2019 Posted November 26, 2019 Very true and something that is usually forgotten by head coaches and fans when players are drafted and join their new teams. Lots of credit has to go to Harbs and Decosta for understanding that and agreeing to it and then props to G-Ro for the implementation. All the starts aligned for the Ravens and Lamar with the coaching staff and front office we have. And one more thing. Shout-out to Ozzie for moving back into the first round to make the pick. That move also gave us a 5th year option on Lamar. Quote
