STORYLINE: So long, Texas Stadium. But there’s some unfinished business to take care of.

Yes, it’s the final regular-season game of the famed stadium with the hole in the roof – the home of Landry & Jimmy, Troy, Emmitt and Michael. There will be a postgame celebration in which all five-year Cowboys will be introduced to the fans with ceremonies to follow.

The game? It’s an important one, indeed. Both clubs are in the thick of the playoff hunt. With a win and other scenarios, the Cowboys are in the playoffs.

Two stellar defenses will be in action. The Ravens have not allowed a 100-yard rusher for an NFL current-best 33 consecutive games. The ’Boys have not allowed one in five straight. Where Dallas is excelling on defense right now is in getting to the passer. The Cowboys lead the league with 53 sacks, primarily from 2009 NFL All-Star LB DE MARCUS WARE (a league-leading 19.0 sacks). Ware’s double-teaming by opponents is opening up lanes for teammates.

Ravens 9

Cowpokes 31

We cant score on 3 posessions inside the redzone in our backyard, what makes us think we are going to do it on the festivous ocassion in Dallas?

Crav,

Thats about right. If Fabian Wash is out, we are toast and Romo and Co (Witten, Roy Williams, TO, Barber, etc) will have a big party on us. They may have it anyway and Jerry Jones will be lighting up cigar by halftime. Anything short of this, would be huge upset in my mind.

If for some crazy reason we make this game close (w/i 7 points) and Joe Flacco comes away w/o an injury, that will be a victory. Dallas' only weakness is their secondary, so....this might be a good game to try a litlle razzle dazzle, Suggs package, Troy Smith, you name it. Go ahead Cam, liven it up dude !

Don't fret just yet!

Injury update

Three starters -- cornerback Fabian Washington (hamstring), safety Ed Reed (hamstring) and offensive tackle Jared Gaither (illness) -- did not practice today. Washington is the biggest concern, but he said the chances are "very high" he will play.

Of course he could be lying to have the Cowboys guessing....but the Ravens would never lie...right?

I wouldn't mind seeing that rb from Toledo get some PT. I wish the ravens would use the rb out of the backfield on the pass. This parmele guy has some quickness and shiftiness and could bust some big plays. Same with Rice if he is healthy.

Using the rb is something we don't do enough IMO. thats all the titans and steelers do when they play a good defense. They dump to the rb which protects your qb and gains you most of the time positive yards. This might get flacco's confidence up too completing some easy passes early.

IMO, this is a strategy we need to take in this game if we want to be successful.
