varaven45 Posted August 4, 2011 Posted August 4, 2011 Which RB is pounding the rock this year, now that McGahee and LeRon are gone ? Rice will do just fine and is a great back but we need a sledgehammer near the goal line and in the 4th Q. Who is that guy ? Please...no Parmele or Matt Lawrence answers. Quote
varaven45 Posted August 4, 2011 Author Posted August 4, 2011 Allen Crav, Are you sure. Isnt this guy a rookie ? Quote
cravnravn Posted August 4, 2011 Posted August 4, 2011 8 Ball Jamal was a rookie in 2001 too...Im not worried about RB, Center & TE have me worried. Quote

yagersports Posted August 4, 2011 Posted August 4, 2011 Just center, Pitta and Dickson should hold down the fort nicely. Cmon Crav you have the biggest purple glasses of us all! I would think we should be up that Kreutz guy. Isn't he younger and better than Birk? I like Birk as a player, however we can't deny his play is slipping some. Is there anymore news on the rookie RB? Heard he was pounding it out against the vets at camp! Quote
cravnravn Posted August 4, 2011 Posted August 4, 2011 Hey, I seen Birk too many times get pushed back last season, Im all for change at the position, the game has passed him by. Mattisons kid will be in camp tomorrow, so that means we'll have 5 centers in camp. Quote
yagersports Posted August 4, 2011 Posted August 4, 2011 McClain is no longer an option here, he's now a Cheif. Quote
oldno82 Posted August 4, 2011 Posted August 4, 2011 Anthony Allen might be the answer here. As for Center, I'd at least see what Kreutz would settle for. But somehow, I"ve to a feeling one of the rookies in camp will pan out. Quote

Why didn't he get the surgery right after the season was over? Quote
cravnravn Posted August 5, 2011 Posted August 5, 2011 Yeah I agree. He knows what to do but he is to old and gets pushed around. Why didn't he get the surgery right after the season was over? I wondered the same thing Papa, our wonderings were answered..The reason he didnt get the surgery was because of the lockout, when the players were locked out. they had no medical insurance, and the COBRA for the players with a family was almost 1000.00 a WEEK!! So, Birk was counting his cards on the new CBA being settled earlier than a week before training camp. Quote
papasmurfbell Posted August 6, 2011 Posted August 6, 2011 The lockout didn't go down until March if I am remembering correctly. So he was done in Jan. Why not get under the knife? Quote
