oldno82 Posted August 26 Author Posted August 26 I do agree with most of it. Bullock is, I think, likely to be our starting C next year as Linderbaum heads for free agency. Cleveland can play in a pinch as can Noteboom though neither is a potential starter longer term. We could have used more depth in the OL for sure, but if Stanley remains healthy, and I think he will due to his new eating and workout practices, the line should hold together for this year. It is no doubt our weakest link, but as Tsyl says, Lamar can make up for some of their shortcomings too. Next year I hope we can bring in some younger depth guys who have starting potenital. Maybe Jones gets through his shoulder injury and works out during the off-season at the castle to come in ready to practice and play next year. We'll see. Quote
papasmurfbell Posted August 26 Posted August 26 I see jones as a starter after this redshirt. i see Stanley out. He is a routine injury. Quote

oldno82 Posted August 26 Author Posted August 26 Yeah...I'm afraid someone else will pick up JAD. Quote
tsylvester Posted August 26 Posted August 26 Maybe they can nab Henden Hooker for the ps squad, I think he still qualifies... Quote

tsylvester Posted August 27 Posted August 27 He is rarely healthy, but he did have a very good camp and pre-season. Quote

GrubberRaven Posted August 28 Posted August 28 His bonehead play against the Bengals will forever keep him out of that Quote
oldno82 Posted August 28 Author Posted August 28 I was astonished to see CBS Sports rate Huntley #1 of 10 best available quarterbacks as of today. I guess we should just be glad we have Cooper Rush and leave it at that. Quote

tsylvester Posted August 30 Posted August 30 Nice watching football again, college today, tomorrow, Monday. Question for the audience. If a runner can now be pushed forward and have the ball spotted forward from where the scrim started. Why then, do we not give the defense the same courtesy, when said runner is pushed back? Instead of forward progress being the call. Oh I know, offense sells... Quote
oldno82 Posted August 30 Author Posted August 30 I still would rather they go back to the 'old days' ruling that you can't help a ball carrier go forward by pushing or pulling. I've seen some teams now pushing the pile ahead when it's not even 3rd or 4th and short. It's getting out of hand. 1 Quote
