Stiller defense is terrible, they keep getting bailed out by penalties and a bad offense.

The Pats should be killing them, but they are currently down 7 at the 2 min warning of the 1st half

If is the biggest word in the dictionary, I think they will tey to set up the run with the pass early on. Then in the 2nd half if they have the lead, lean heavily on the run game to shorten the game.

No no no.  Then you lose a shootout with Lamar,  the goal is to keep Lamar off the field with the run.  It also exhausts the d.  In the 2nd half go play action for the kill.

I think this will be the first below .500 season for Tomlin.  The d stinks and it’s a matter of time before Rodgers self destructs.  They should have done the rebuild this yr.  They were dumb.

Pats have more talent but can't secure the ball. Steelers luck out. I will say when they tackle, they also almost always go to knock the ball out.

The slppy play this weekend, wow, balls taking away mid run, extra points and field goals blocked, penalties abound.

Yes papa, looks like last week was just Wilson buring out brightly like a light bulb about to go out.

The play was very sloppy. Four fumbles and an INT for New England. Penalties and blocked FGs. I wonder what we'll see tonight.

Meanwhile our 2 best pass rushers are out as well as a run stuffer. Gonna be hard to hold Detroit's offense. Looks to be a high scoring affair. At least we are at home.

Ravens scored 40 pts in each of their 1st 2 games. The Lions defense is good, as good as the Browns? I think not.

Lamar is great on Monday nights, fantastic against the NFC, Henry was bottled up last game;

I pity the fools

Well if Henry runs and Lamar plays like he usually does, I would expect a high scoring game. Our secondary, which has the talent to do so, needs to play at the highest level. I think it's 50-50 as to who wins this one.

The ravens are scoring in 2 mins and 4 to 5 plays.  So Detroit goes into heavy run inside outside and just throw a few passes in the first half.  Their drives take 10 to 12 plays and 8 mins.  Keep trading those back and forth for the first half.   finish with a 20-10 top advantage going into halftime.  Keep that same attack on through midway into the 3rd.  Say Detroit is up to 26-13 in top.  The ravens lead the score with 24-20.  Now the play action is being used.  St brown, jwill. And laporta start getting strikes.  Keep hitting them with Gibbs and Montgomery and watch the d crumble,

Nice call papa, we knew the defensive line was struggling at times to stop the run, well, the dam broke last night.

Cant win em all, but you should win the ones that you can.

7 sacks? Really? This line is currently terrible, as bad as the defensive line is at run stoppimg. Can't run consistently, can't pass block.

Can't finger one of them, because they all had issues last night. Maybe it is the oline coach? Experts say that we have one of the best centers in the game. That Rose is a very good right tackle and Stanley is solid if not old.

Our guards, well, they too struggle even though the coaches say these are the best we have?

Are they blowing smoke or do they really believe this?

Do we have to wait until week 6 to see the Real Team, again? Is this jusjust par for the course on slow starts or are lines on both sides of the ball that bad?

Yes, Henry fumbled again, at our 20, led to a field goal, killed momentum. This team should be good enough to overcome a turnover, especially when it only costs 3.

2 90+ yard drives, unacceptable when it is the other team. They kill defenses. That is how you give up 426 yards in total offense, 224 rushing

The Ravens only got 85 yards on the ground; huh?

No sacks, a handful of pressures early. Nothing to get Goff off of his first read, nothing from Orr or the players. I saw guys backing into the back field, only to have the running back run by. Had they been facing him, tfl.

Orr redeemed himself last year, but once again here were are, a defense that can't get turnovers, cant pressure the pocket, cant stop decent, okay good offenses, only old quarterbacks who can't run...

Watching the game now, had to stop at 3:42 left in the 2nd quarter, Lamar hits Tez for 35 yards to the Lions 4.

They get to the 1, then the play calling, decision making goes bonkers. Over load to the right, hand off to Henry who never gets squared with thr line of scrimmage and is tackle for a loss of 1 He has an opening between guard and tackle, nice big hole, 1 lnebacker there, one coming. If Henry plants his foot, momentum carries him into the endzone, he is bigger than those backers.

Instead, he tries to split the block of Stanely and Noteboom where there are also 4 defenders, and he doesn't have the angle to plant his foot. Henry, Noteboom ams 2 tightends end up on the ground, behimd the los.

Then there is that naked boot Lamar screws up on 4th and goal, one play later. Hit Andrews, what was so hard? Had Flowers at the back of the end zone, early, has Bateman on a comeback route, sort of, two defenders in front of Lamar. But Andrews still has position and is open.

Has Henry wide open on the other side if Lamar can escape the defender in his face who read the naked boot properly.

But no, he scrambles back, fumbles, they get the ball on downs.

Why go hurry up? Why rush both on 3rd and 4th down?

Okay, sorry, so many thoughts.  take the lead 21-14 8:47 in the 3rd.

Then, once again, the wheels fall off. The defense just cant make any more stops, the offense just can't keep the train rolling in rhe 4fh quarter.

Maybe, maybe this will fix it self as the season goes on, no more Henry passes, trick plays etc. Just do the simple later in games, master that first.

Frustrating watch, but I didn't lose my mind like I did with Buffalo.  It's not there this year.  Stale as hell.

Does Pagano sit in the booth during the games?

I feel much worse about this game than the Bills game. Absolutely no pass rush, the D-line pushed around like so many dolls, and the O-line and Lamar ripped for 7 sacks...Ouch!

Obviously, van Noy and Madds are really missed, but still, the Ravens were whipped phsically on both sides of the ball. Not used to seeing that for sure.

And now KC and 1-3?

Last yr the passrush win rate was so bad.  Playing from the lead s9 much there were a lot of passing downs to defend.    Other than green there was no addition to the passrush.  Then pierce retires and a major part of the run d was gone.  Eric did a piss poor job in roster construction.

You cant plan for everything, just isn't possible. It was more guys not getting off blocks, some taking the wrong angle, others not honoring their gap responsibilities than the fact that they were man handled on the defense.

The offense, some of the 7 sacks were on Lamar, holding the ball too long, trying to do too much. Some plays he made harder to have success.

Again, 21-14  late in the 3rd in favor of the Ravens. Then the wheels fell off on both sides of the ball. Then the Henry fumble and hero ball really takes over.

It's a lesson I hope they finally learned, thought maybe they learned it after the Buffalo game, but I guess they are hard headed.
