Okay, get that bad taste out of our mouths, sure, it looked like a good bet the Ravens would beat the Lions, their record against the NFC with Lamar at the helm and all....

Now the team faces an uphill battle, travel out west, take on a foe who seem to have your number, even loses by the length of a toe...

Can the defense rebound, find their strength, get their footing, seal the holes and contain am elusive magician?

Can the offensive line protect our own unicorn?

With what has gone on this year around the league, the Colts only punting once in 3 games and not turning the ball over included, who knows what will happen in KC.

So, who ya got?

Yep, Madds will be out at least the rest of the month i would expect. I think Jones will be fine by game time Sunday, especially if they keep a good number for rotations.

They need to just get back to basic on defense, too many rookies in the rotations to be doing complex defenses, they just are not ready for it yet. Buch, Starks and Green, that is 3 levels of rookies you are asking a lot of...

You have rookies at all 3 levels bc they don’t put resources towards passrush.

There wasnt a pass rush specialist available other than the one who fell because of off the field issues.

Or of course, pay more top dollar for a free agent, eat up more cap. Trade? Maybe they tried and just like with Henry and the Titans were turned away.... Who knows.

My point, growing pains, a lot of football left

It’s been like a decade since we have invested in that area of the d.  We keep going after projects in the draft.

I've noticed that as well but I believe it's because we're always drafting near the bottom of the barrel. That makes it harder to have success in the third round and beyond.

Even after we lose at KC, there will still be 13 games left in the regular season. Even though only a handful of teams have made the PO's after a 1-3 start, I think the Ravens will make it.

I have had issues with how this team invests into the trenches for a long time.  They always try to do it on the cheap.

By the way, WTF ever happened to Keaton Mitchell??  He's just disappeared off the radar. If he's healthy, he should be being used as a change of pace back.

I agree, weve all railed iat Eric for faking these injured, PSU ends who eifher did nothing in college or built their numbers against the little sisters of the poor.

It is, they are, still haunting us today. Sure, Owe flashes from time to time, had 10 sacks last year, none in the playoffs if memory serves me right.

Green at least had the consistent numbers in college but they are bringing him along slowly and having him drop in coverage for some reason. Shoot, let him learn that part later, turn the young man loose.

He is not very good at blitz pick up and his elite speed has not rerurned. He and Hill run about the same right now.

Oweh got 10 on volume.  His win rate blows.  Being ahead made it so other teams had to throw to keep up.  And as the saying goes the sun shines on a dogs ass sometimes.

my understanding is his speed is back.  If he has trouble with the blitz just have him in plays where he just leaks out and doesn’t have to work against the passrush.  Bring him along in that area slowly.  Just he his open field ability in play.
