tsylvester Posted September 29 Posted September 29 I suppose this is the only question left to settle, top 5, top 10, top 15? We know they will need a left tackle, a really good one. Likely a guard as well because frankly neither guard is panning out, really disappointed in Vorhees. Need an edge rusher and some big phat boys for the defensive line. Maybe even an inside backer, while Buchanan is still raw, he doesn't show much game intelligence and he has poor speed to cover. I suppose a lot will have to depend on who the coach is? Can we get one of them in the draft? Quote

papasmurfbell Posted September 29 Posted September 29 We were winning in 2015? Were we winning the first 6 weeks of 2018? That lying asshole has brought nothing to this team. Quote

tsylvester Posted October 4 Author Posted October 4 Not sure where he will go in the draft, doubtful in the 1st, but one big man for the middle of the d line, a two gapper, 6'-5", 335 strong bull, Ben Barton, Wisconsin Quote
tsylvester Posted Saturday at 04:48 PM Author Posted Saturday at 04:48 PM Maybe not in the first, but certainly a 2nd round pick IF he comes out. Kayden McDonald, dt, Ohio State. Give them a watch if ya time 6'-3", 325 pounds of muscle, a 2 gap tackle who knows how to collapse a pocket, defeat double teams. papasmurfbell Posted Saturday at 05:28 PM Posted Saturday at 05:28 PM We definitely need someone like that. By my count we need starters in the following DT maybe even 2 of them LT C EDGE MLB Maybe TE Probably G We have an extensive shopping list. Maybe we don’t get any projects this yr. Quote
tsylvester Posted Saturday at 05:36 PM Author Posted Saturday at 05:36 PM If they keep Cleveland, he has shown that he can play center well, but that depends on keeping him, I would, Harbs likely won't. Dt, Edge, MLb and left tackle are my biggest needs. Likely a left tackle in the 1st, pending draft position, then Edge or Dt in the second, which ever is a better deal. I might, depending on the draft position, and quality of linemen, trade down, get 2 1sts or an extra second. Eric has to hit on the 1st 3 picks for sure, starters, not development projects or injured players. Quote
krf82 Posted Saturday at 06:03 PM Posted Saturday at 06:03 PM An NFL "coach trade" refers to a team hiring a coach who is currently under contract with another NFL team. This is done through a negotiation between the two teams, where the hiring team pays compensation, usually in the form of draft picks, to the team that currently employs the coach. A prominent example is the Sean Payton trade from the Saints to the Broncos in 2023. Contract with the coach: After the two teams agree on the compensation, the hiring team is then allowed to negotiate a new contract with the coach. Notable examples: Famous coaches involved in trades include Bill Parcells, Herm Edwards, and Bill Belichick. The most recent major coach trade was Sean Payton, who was traded from the New Orleans Saints to the Denver Broncos. Negotiation process: A team interested in another team's coach must first contact the coach's current team to begin negotiations. Compensation: If both teams agree to a deal, the hiring team gives up compensation to the other team. This compensation is most often draft picks, as in the Sean Payton trade where the Broncos sent picks to the Saints. Quote
tsylvester Posted Saturday at 08:17 PM Author Posted Saturday at 08:17 PM Amari Washington from Oregon another Junior dt who might come out. 6'-2", 3" 330 lbs Powerful man with good moves inside or power to push the guard or tackle into the lap of the quarterback. tsylvester Posted Saturday at 10:02 PM Author Posted Saturday at 10:02 PM I tell ya, we don't need a runningback, but boy would I love to see them land Wisner from Texas. Runs hard between the tackles, great vision, quickness, speed. Excellent hands and quite the wiggle in the open field. He reminds me of Priest Holmes Quote

He isn’t coming back and he isn’t fixing this season. If we lose tomorrow and we most likely will it’s time to put some guys on the block. Quote
tsylvester Posted Sunday at 11:54 AM Author Posted Sunday at 11:54 AM He is a Lamar favorite and a Harbs one too, trading him, what will you get, maybe a 4th, possibly a 5th. Maybe they have tried to trade him, but he is a tight end at the end of his career, how many teams are an aging tightend away from winning it all? Quote
papasmurfbell Posted Sunday at 12:20 PM Posted Sunday at 12:20 PM A team that needs a bit more to make a run. i think Lamar has ceded his personnel expectations when we got Alexander for him. Turdy should have no expectations at all. We have made to many harbaugh nepo picks. Quote
tsylvester Posted Sunday at 02:13 PM Author Posted Sunday at 02:13 PM Lamar has shown that his eye for talent isn't that great. Unless Alexander suddenly turns into the player he was at 22, that signing was a waste as many thought. The biggest question is what do they do during & or after the bye when they will likely be 1-5? Sure, they could go on a run in the next 11 games, beat the Steelers twice and go 10-7, wins the division and makes them a team no one wants to face. So do they take a chance on that pipe dream and trade with the Jets, get a pass rusher or dt from them who will make a huge difference? After all, post bye they should be fully healthy, all of the players. If not, shut some of them down for the season and call it a lost season. Quote
papasmurfbell Posted Sunday at 04:33 PM Posted Sunday at 04:33 PM I say be a seller. The season is over. Quote
tsylvester Posted Sunday at 04:52 PM Author Posted Sunday at 04:52 PM Wow, didnt warch the game, gladly, the Jets only had 82 total yards, -10 passing (Fields was 9 of 17 for 45 yards) 9 sacks Final score 13-11, what a crap game. Quote
tsylvester Posted Sunday at 09:33 PM Author Posted Sunday at 09:33 PM Another position we should think about, runningback. Neither Hill nor the great mystery are full time backs who can carry a franchise. No, not draft one in the 1st, papa and I agree whole heartedly on that, but late 2nd, 3rd round. A physical back who can catch out of the backfield. This coming draft or perhaps the next. I doubt Henry has more than one more season in him. Quote
tsylvester Posted Sunday at 09:44 PM Author Posted Sunday at 09:44 PM Papa, I give you your weakside middle backer (yes he could be a strong side kne as well) Aiden Fisher, lb, Indiana U. 6'-1" 233 I'm looking forward to the combine to see what his 40 and shuttle times actually are because man if you watch him play, he is everywhere. Speed and instincts to roam sideline to sideline, gets nice deep drops thanks to his speed in zone and can keep up in man coverage very well. Strong as an ox, he blitzes very well. Because of his school, while they are making a name for them selves the past 2 years with their new coach, and his position, he will likely be a 2nd round pick. He would fit nicely next to Ro, if rhe Ravens keep him, and be ready to take over for Smith when the time comes. papasmurfbell Posted Sunday at 09:46 PM Posted Sunday at 09:46 PM I’m cool in the 3rd for the right back. We need to compile picks. It’s time to sell. ro has been a mistake. He was a product of McDonald. Quote
