tsylvester Posted 16 hours ago Posted 16 hours ago Yeah, its not likely, but is sure does put the first 5 games into a harrowing perspective. Ravens are on pace to be the first team in NFL history to give up 600 points in a season - NBC Sports https://share.google/50omF11PiaVqiieuR Through five games, the Ravens have allowed their opponents to score a total of 177 points. That puts them on pace to allow 602 points over the course of a 17-game season, which would be the worst of all time. The current record is 534 points allowed, set by the Panthers last year. The record in a 16-game season was 533 points allowed, set by the Baltimore Colts in 1981. That Colts team allowed 33.3 points per game, while this Ravens team is allowing 35.4 points per game, so the longer season isn’t why the Ravens are on pace to set the record. The Ravens’ putrid defense is why they’re on pace to set the record. Baltimore’s defense has been ravaged by injuries, but injuries can’t fully explain just how bad this Ravens defense has been. The Ravens’ four losses have been by scores of 41-40, 38-30, 37-20 and 44-10. That’s unacceptable in the NFL even if you have to line up your second-stringers at all 11 positions. What the Ravens are doing on defense is awful. And they may make history. Quote

GrubberRaven Posted 8 hours ago Posted 8 hours ago They're not completely innocent. Flippin trainwreck Quote
tsylvester Posted 7 hours ago Author Posted 7 hours ago They had no trouble scoring and moving the ball week 1, what changed? Not injuries, something behind the scenes Quote
oldno82 Posted 7 hours ago Posted 7 hours ago I'll reconsider this after they get their guys back from injuries but right now I think fire the whole coaching staff at the end of the season unless they pull a miracle out of the air and win the division. Some coaches might have to go now: offensive line, defensive coordinator are the first guys that come to mind, but there are plenty other culpable coaches on this team that could require a total coaching re-build after the season. A side note, is that EDC is also culpable for not having a dominant edge rusher and the general lack of talent on the O-line. He finally fixed our WR problems but now the trenches are a mess. I am sooooo tired of drafting injured guys and projects that don't turn out. We may not have hit the low point yet. That delight could be coming with the strong Rams team coming this weekend. I foresee another butt whipping on us. This year's bye week is crucial but I'm afraid they don't have the overall knowledge with the current staff on how to fix this team for the last half of the season. It's possible but the odds are against us. I hope they can find a way to pull out of the nosedive. Quote
papasmurfbell Posted 6 hours ago Posted 6 hours ago No the low point would be if the jets get healthy on us. Quote
oldno82 Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago We'll know before then if we can pull up and out of this death spiral. If we can't any team could whip us. Quote
