Boxers do get CTE...look what happened to Ali.

I thought Ali had Parkinson's

Yes, back in the day, our day, the pro bowl was played hard, real, the players took great honor to play in the game.

Ali has Parkinson’s.  He never seemed to lose cognition that I saw.

As I said, that's true. I was wrong about Ali, but read this:

Chronic Traumatic Encephalopathy (CTE) is very common in boxing, historically known as "punch-drunk syndrome" or dementia pugilistica. While exact modern percentages vary because CTE can only be definitively diagnosed after death, studies estimate that up to 40% to 87% of retired professional fighters show clinical signs or post-mortem brain damage linked to repetitive head impacts.

Sunday is cutdown day to the 53 and I'm seeing a lot of pundits saying we'll only keep 2 quarterbacks. I think Nano has shown enough potential to make the 53 as a QB3. Lamar is older and a bit more subject to injury and Nano has the look of good potential about him and he's poised and doesn't get flustered in the pocket under pressure.

A number of young qbs have put on good-great shows this preseason. While Nano has done a great job with the opportunities he is given, I don't think there is room for 3 qbs.

They can stash him on the practice squad and call him up on game day as qb 3, which will not count against the 53 man roster but will give them an option should injuries occur.

He is a rookie, plenty of teams have any number of them who "showed out" in practice & or preseason. Shoot, look what Gabriel did for the Browns the other day.

What, do you want to lose Martin out of the 2ndary? Kid is quick, smart, very instinctively, and fearless.

But a numbers crunch in the secondary may mean putting him on the practice squad where he will definitely get taken or traded.

There are a number of solid players in the 2ndary who are young and talented and, have huge upside.

Not too mentioned the defensive line, a plethora of players, say that 3 times fast..

Figure 9-10 offensive linemen

3-4 tightends, likely 3

3-4 runningbacks/fullback, since Declan doesnt use a fullback, they will all be runningbacks, so maybe 3

2 qbs, 1 on ps

5-6 wrs

5-6 defensive linemen

5-6 outside linebackers/edge rushers

4 inside backers

6-7 dbs

4-5 safeties

3 specialist

On average for the Ravens, Minter will likely be somewhere in that ball park

Go with 3 running backs and one on the ps. There's a risk no matter what we do because this year we are loaded with talented depth but Nano just has that 'it' factor you don't see very often.

There's no guarantee that Lamar and the Ravens will be able to reach an extension after this season either. Huntley wouldn't be an answer. Fagnano might be. Shoot, if it came to that I'd put Huntley on the ps if I had to.

Now of course I don't think Nano is a sure thing. Fortunately, we have one more preseason game to go to evaluate him. If he stinks up the place, then sure put him on the ps. But if he plays like he has been I'd keep him somewhere safe.

24-0 at the half, quite dominant, should be 30-0 but Loop cant seem to make field goals from the right hash 😒

Nano, while good numbers, was a bit off today so far. Even that touchdown to Wester who made a nice snag of the ball behind him (the only place it could be) was late. Some of that is on Wester for not slowing down his route after getting past the linebacker, but most was on Nano.

Solid running from both backs, the defense, attacking the ball carrier on, from, every level. Now that is how Ravens play defense.

I'm not sure what they will do or can do about Loop. If kicking from one hash to another is this big of an issue.....

Well I saw the first quarter plus and then, poof, the TV provider when out. When it finally came back on we were scoring to make it 31-0, so I missed most of the big scoring.

It's back on now but it's well into the third quarter.

Sad to hear about Loop. He's really inconsistent. I don't know if he can be depended on in the regular season. I think not. It's still not too late to bring some competition with 2 weeks to go but I don't know who's available.

Nano looked good for as little as I saw of him. Huntley was superb.

Moore looked good when he was in there.

But the big story is our Defense. Just a really good machine from what I saw. They really stifle an offense.

Loop is a problem unless we dominate offensively

Yes...I agree...one day (again like last year) he will cost us an important game.

I'd rather have a consistent kicker up to 49 yard FGs than a guy who has the potential to hit one from greater than 50 but can miss easier ones.

41-3 now, man, the guys for the Comandos really suck, much like this new game announcer for the Ravens, he is bad.

They should have hired someone more local with some pizazz...the new guy puts you to sleep.
