oldno82 Posted Monday at 08:51 PM Posted Monday at 08:51 PM OK, everyone. Sunday is the start of a new NFL season for the Ravens. So, how do they stack up against the Colts, this week's opponent? And, what do you foresee: easy win, hard fought win, or a loss? And, any predictions for the record this season? Quote
tsylvester Posted Monday at 11:20 PM Posted Monday at 11:20 PM Hard to tell, is Daniel Jones the one from the Giants or has he really turned the corner? Even with the terribly called defenses the past 2 years, the Ravens were pretty good at stopping the run, & with a depleted defensive line. This year, with a real defensive play caller and a stocked/stacked defensive line, they can make the Colts 1 dimensional. Which bodes well for Trey Hendrickson & company. Now, the real question: is the offensive line fixed or atleast better than last season? If so, Henry can run, Lamar can throw and the Ravens can pull away. Quote
oldno82 Posted Tuesday at 03:00 AM Author Posted Tuesday at 03:00 AM I see a close game. We won't know if the O-line is fixed or better until we see it with our own eyes. It may be hard to run against the Colts who had the best run defense in the league last year. I also think Daniel Jones has turned the corner and the Colts have fleet receivers and Taylor as RB. I don't know how good/bad their O-line is though and our defense is solid. Close game. Lamar has to put the offense on his shoulders. Hendrickson and company close out the deal. Quote
oldno82 Posted Tuesday at 05:57 PM Author Posted Tuesday at 05:57 PM I said the game would be close---hopefully it doesn't come down to us having to make a FG. Quote
tsylvester Posted Tuesday at 10:05 PM Posted Tuesday at 10:05 PM Baker Mayfield just signed his extension, 3 years for "The deal is reportedly worth $165 million, which works out to $55 million a year." Per Espn Picture how much more Lamar will want/get Quote
oldno82 Posted Tuesday at 10:51 PM Author Posted Tuesday at 10:51 PM I think if Lamar has a very good season, he'll want more than Mahomes. I'm thinking he'll go for $70mil. If he has a just decent season, probably about $60mil. Meanwhile, I'm looking at the Ravens winning 11 or 12 games this year, depending on injuries. If they can win that many, do you think they'll make it to the AFC championship game? Quote
papasmurfbell Posted yesterday at 12:34 AM Posted yesterday at 12:34 AM There is no afcc. Lamar can’t string 2 wins in the playoffs. Quote

But we also need to see other teams, will they be different than last season. 1 Quote

Right now there's so many unknowns for us fans, we can only guess. That's what I consider my 11-12 victories to be: very much a guess for now. Quote
