HOF52LB Posted January 21, 2009 Posted January 21, 2009 I have to be honest, this has been my favorite Raven team so far since Baltimore has had a team again. I am really worried about this off season just because Ray, T-sizzle, bart, Dawan, and Jim Leonard are all free agents. In my opinion I think that the Ravens need to resign Ray and T-sizzle. They are the Number 1 priorities, I think we are going to let scott go even though I don't want to. Also I really think the Ravens must resign Dawan and Leonard. On the other hand, I think we need to get rid of C-mac, todd heap, and maybe a couple other player that we don't need that are wasting cap room. I just hope we have enough money to afford those players that I named. It would be a shame to see this defense fall apart I really think if we draft well and make smart off season moves we could be in the super bowl next year! Anyone care to comment on what's going to happen. P.S. I would love to have a corner in first round and get Hakeem Nicks after that! Quote
ForceEight Posted January 21, 2009 Posted January 21, 2009 Landry is only an RFA. He's not going anywhere. Quote

I don't think so, considering no one's really heard from the guy in a few months. I'm sure we'll reassess in March where Landry's at and what we need to do otherwise. Quote
colincac Posted January 21, 2009 Posted January 21, 2009 Good convo over there on that board, If we can get Leonhard for 2 Mil or under he better stay, he has great value as a ST player and as a DB, whether or not he is starting. Quote

We won't be paying nearly that much for a backup and special teamer. At least, I don't think we are... Quote
vmax Posted January 22, 2009 Posted January 22, 2009 Landry is an RFA. Here's the list....Suggs name is missing but he's an UFA. Baltimore Ravens Pos Player Name FA Status Previous Team Current Team QB Kyle Boller UFA Baltimore Ravens Free Agent QB Todd Bouman UFA Baltimore Ravens Free Agent RB P.J. Ed has that bad neck injury still. Quote
thundercleetz Posted January 22, 2009 Posted January 22, 2009 Take Dwan Edwards off of that list. http://ravens24x7.com/column_view.php?cid=...mp;view=archive I would say we are pretty good on the interior line with Ngata, Bannan, McKinney, Douglas, and Edwards. We just need some outside rush now. Quote
vmax Posted January 22, 2009 Posted January 22, 2009 (edited) Take Dwan Edwards off of that list. http://ravens24x7.com/column_view.php?cid=...mp;view=archive I would say we are pretty good on the interior line with Ngata, Bannan, McKinney, Douglas, and Edwards. We just need some outside rush now. I refuse to open that link... I got the list from kffl....I still have no idea if Gregg will be back. Preston thinks he'll be back... Rob: Of the Ravens players who went on injured reserve this year, who do you think will have the biggest impact coming back next season? Mike Preston: That's hard to say. Gooden was playing well, and he should be even better with a year in the weight room to get bigger and stronger. Gregg will be even better next season because he had a year off to rest his body. I'd really like to see receiver Demetrius Williams become a deep outside threat. Linebacker Prescott Burgess has great potential and don't forget about guard Marshal Yanda. There was a lot of talent on that injured reserve list. Edited January 22, 2009 by vmax Quote
ravinmaniac52 Posted January 22, 2009 Posted January 22, 2009 When Greg Mattison takes over do you think he will change to 4/3? That could change on who stays around. And P.J. Daniels is on that list, the forgotten back. We are loaded there! Speaking about RBs what a great job Wilbert Montgomery did. Quote
colincac Posted January 22, 2009 Posted January 22, 2009 Why wouldn't Kelly Gregg be back, he is under contract, and was one of our best defensive players until his injury. Quote
cravnravn Posted January 22, 2009 Posted January 22, 2009 Why wouldn't Kelly Gregg be back, he is under contract, and was one of our best defensive players until his injury. Rumor has it, it is a career ending knee injury. Sammy K is probably the most "valuable" on that list besides Suggs. Quote
Dunno Posted January 22, 2009 Posted January 22, 2009 Dan Cody is on that list? Wasn't he cut in or just prior to training camp? Quote
colincac Posted January 22, 2009 Posted January 22, 2009 According to Preston, I know my source is shady  , Gregg will be BETTER with a year off rest on his 350 pound body, I can see both sides, I guess we will just have to wait and see. Quote
