Ravens thought to be seeking elite special team players in FA. Two possible names to keep an eye on are Ted Ginn and ex-Jag Kassim Osgood.

 

 

I don't know who Kassim Osgood is but Ted Ginn would be quite the weapon on special teams.

I'd rather have Osgood. He's the Jags' gunner, and a very good one. He's a terrible receiver, though.

Eddie Royal is available and he can do both. He caught that sweet TD bomb from TeBow in the playoff win over the Steelers.

I wouldn't personally go FA on WR's this yr but Royal might be the RPRP kind of guy. I think he is a solid player.

The problem with Ginn is that he considers himself a receiver and wants to be paid as such. You can't pay him as a #1 or #2 WR. He's not that good at that position.

Now... He should get decent money overall because of what he brings to special teams and the upgraded impact he will make there. For him going all out on Special Teams is a "given" and I like that attitude.

 

Ginn Visits With Ravens

Carroll County Times - March 17

Free agent wide receiver and return specialist Ted Ginn reportedly visited with the Ravens on Friday, according to Aaron Wilson of the Carroll County Times. The Ravens are looking for a No. 3 receiver and Ginn could potentially fill that role if he were to sign with the team. Ginn has also visited with the Detroit Lions.
