varaven45 Posted November 14, 2012 Posted November 14, 2012 The Chiefs running game was gouging the Steelers, especially on the right side (anchored by Timmons, Ziggy Hood, Foote), particularly in the 1st half. Our offense absolutely needs to pound that side with Rice and Pierce and commit to it. It will take some pressure off Joe and help set up play action. The Steelers D is playing lights out but can be moved on. When KC's putrid offense was running they were actually pretty dang efficient and moving the chain. When Cassel and the Chiefs' O got away from the run game, LeBeau and the Steelers D just blitzed the crap out of the Chiefs and Cassel was running for his life. Cam and the O have got pound the rock and right at their right side. Quote

papasmurfbell Posted November 14, 2012 Posted November 14, 2012 The 3rd stringer made the Ravens look like crap a few yrs ago. Quote
varaven45 Posted November 14, 2012 Author Posted November 14, 2012 Papa, That was Dennis Dixon. He is with the good guys now Quote
yagersports Posted November 14, 2012 Posted November 14, 2012 This Steelers team is not going to compete this year. We will destroy their playoff chances with the next three games. It just won't be their year. Quote
thesteelhurtin Posted November 14, 2012 Posted November 14, 2012 Yinz have to stop the three headed monster we have in the backfield plus the steelers defense is playing extremely well right now. Yes the cheifs had some success running the ball but at least we held them under 200 yards. I still have faith in this team. Also lefty can chuck the ball way down field he didnt do great minday night but should be better with a week to prepare. Quote
thesteelhurtin Posted November 14, 2012 Posted November 14, 2012 Didnt the chiefs rush for over 200 on the ravens? Quote
Spen Posted November 14, 2012 Posted November 14, 2012 Didnt the chiefs rush for over 200 on the ravens? What does that have to do with anything? His post is about the Steelers run defense and how the Ravens have to run the ball. I don't think anyone here would argue the Ravens run defense has been good at all, but that has nothing to do with the post he made. Quote
thesteelhurtin Posted November 14, 2012 Posted November 14, 2012 Im saying yes the chiefs ran the ball decently against the steelers but they do have a good running game. Them rushing like that against the steelers d is actually a bad thing for yinz. Woodley and foote are not going to let that happen again but i really wish they would sit hood and go with heyward or hell even through mclendon out the at de see what he can do. Even with out ben i like the steelers chances. I would go batch over lefty but thats just me. Quote
cravnravn Posted November 15, 2012 Posted November 15, 2012 We will crush the Steelers, its not going to be pretty..Might even be as bad as 2011 opening day...BOTH GAMES Quote
yagersports Posted November 15, 2012 Posted November 15, 2012 Lefty can chuck the ball, but his windup and delivery take about 3 and a half minutes. There is a reason he's a backup. No mobility, slow delivery, and poor decision maker. As they say on Fox or ESPN, or whatever it is, CMON MAN. lol Quote

Dixon could run and make plays with his feet. Bmore struggles against those QBs. Ben is an example. The statues, we usually Tee off against them. Quote
