OutsideRzAcE Posted December 11, 2012 Posted December 11, 2012 Sounds like Suggs, Lewis, Jimmy Smith, Ed Dickson all have a chance to play. McClain should be a go. http://www.baltimoreravens.com/news/article-1/Ailing-Defense-Could-Get-Terrell-Suggs-Ray-Lewis-Back-Sunday/8d4bda1d-f27b-48ca-9384-707800a9287e Quote
vmax Posted December 11, 2012 Posted December 11, 2012 They need all the help they can get.Smith hasn't shown much but he's got to be and improvement over some of the back ups. Quote
cravnravn Posted December 11, 2012 Posted December 11, 2012 The Ravens’ most crucial injury from the Washington game was suffered by Pro Bowl right guardMarshal Yanda, who has had another standout season and has yet to give up a sack.Harbaugh announced that Yanda has a “somewhat serious ankle sprain” that will continueto be evaluated this week after he gets an MRI. It’s not an ankle break in any way, Harbaugh confirmed. The hard-nosed Yanda went down during overtime and did not return. He was seen on crutches in the locker room after the game. This is bad news..Von Miller & Dummerville coming in, it spells trouble for Joe. Quote
oldno82 Posted December 11, 2012 Posted December 11, 2012 If Yanda can't play how the hell do we set up the offensive line for this game? Quote
vmax Posted December 12, 2012 Posted December 12, 2012 The put Williams in for Yanda Sunday. They may do that again.Otherwise it's a major reshuffle: McKinnie, Reid, Burke, Osemele, Oher......don't see that happening....but it could. Quote
oldno82 Posted December 12, 2012 Posted December 12, 2012 I haven't heard much about Jah Reid this season though I know he's been playing and starting the last few games. Any opinions on this guy? Quote
vmax Posted December 13, 2012 Posted December 13, 2012 The bad news mounts.... The Ravens will play without Jameel McClain on Sunday against the Denver Broncos. The team's starting middle linebacker has a significant neck injury that he sustained against the Washington Redskins, coach John Harbaugh said today.Suggs is practicing today as well as running back Ray Rice (hip contusion). Not practicing today during the portion open to reporters: strong safety Bernard Pollard (ribs), defensive lineman Arthur Jones (bruised right shoulder), Pernell McPhee (groin), Ellerbe, Lewis, McClain and offensive guard Marshal Yanda, who has a serious sprained right ankle and isn't expected to play this week. Yanda is off crutches, but is in a walking boot. "I'm getting healthy as fast as possible, that's the plan," Yanda told The Baltimore Sun. "I'm going to treat it and get back as fast as possible." Tight end Ed Dickson (knee) was limited as well as running back Bernard Pierce (back), running back Ray Rice (hip contusion) and Suggs. Participating fully: wide receiver Jacoby Jones (ankle), safety Ed Reed (torn shoulder labrum), cornerback Jimmy Smith (sports hernia surgery), wide receiver Deonte Thompson (thigh) and wide receiver LaQuan Williams (thigh).http://www.baltimoresun.com/sports/ravens/ravens-insider/bal-jameel-mcclain-ruled-out-with-significant-neck-injury-20121212,0,5218079.story The offense has to score 50 points a game. varaven45 Posted December 13, 2012 Posted December 13, 2012 The bad news mounts.... The offense has to score 50 points a game. Yeah, in the first half ! Quote
OutsideRzAcE Posted December 13, 2012 Author Posted December 13, 2012 Sooo basically we gain Jimmy Smith and lose Yanda and McClain Quote
cravnravn Posted December 13, 2012 Posted December 13, 2012 With what on the offensive line? We are asking the NFL to go oldschool playground ball..They have to count to 3 Mississippi before they can rush. Quote
