  1. Why should we be nervous or upset if they lose? We've never seen a season when they've gone 14 & 2. So what ever happens going forward now, there is no reason to boo nor is there a reason to frown. Just take it all in, enjoy every win, because no matter what happens the future is about to begin.
  2. We can pull up the threads from most every message board and see for the most part, aside from the ill informed homer picks, not many had this team winning more than 9 games. Few seriously had them winning more than 10, none had them 14 unless they failed a sobriety test...
  3. The worst thing that can happen to ruin young quarterbacks is having revolving doors at the oc position. Losing Roman could set Lamar back years. A good defensive coordinator is easier to find to fit your system. 3-4 vs 4-3, types of pressure and the set up of coverages you play. Simple questions to answer by a phone call with a potential coordinator and viewing his game tapes. Finding someone to fit this offense as it is constituted, well you might have to over pay a college coach from an option school to come to the NFL...
  4. Ten is not the same team as last year. Houston is now "healthy" with Watt possibly back and Fuller, so they too would be a different team. What worries me a bit is the sloppy play at the end of the regular season, fumbles, troubles on the exchange, poor special teams coverage, missed reads. Hopefully the rest will help, Lamar seeing the game from the sidelines, maybe the team will pay closer attention to how fortunate they were to win some of those games. Plenty of playoff experience on this team, some good leaders as well. They have a mission as all teams do this time of year and they know all of the teams they might face...
  5. So now our clan's story turns to another chapter, but does not end. After all of the battles, now our warriors stand atop all of their enemies, 14 victories to only 2 defeats. Our warriors now await their next challenger; only time will tell who will dare enter their territory, for all must come try to disgrace our clan's sacred land and try to keep our warriors from their prize. Time ks now their foe, the first battle of their quest. Will they get sucked into the dark lands of folk lore, listening to the chatter of their exploits? Will pride get the best of them? Will they rest on their laurels? Will they face a familiar foe looking to avenge an earlier lost battle at the hands of our brave warriors? If so, will they take them lightly? A new year is upon us, a new season unfolds, eight clans vie for the glory, the right to hoist the Silver Betty, but there can only be one. The winner will have to be steadfast in their preparations, stay focussed in their attention to detail of their battle plans for each campaign and be determined to carry it out without prejudice and show no mercy. To win it all it will take brains, braun, skill, tenacity and a willingness to sacrifice persanal pride for that of the glory of the clan's. Will our great warriors lose their first battle, or will they continue their winning ways of 12 victorious battles in a row? Can they just win one at a time? We have to wait until they write the rest of their story, we must keep reading.
  6. Anyone not Tennessee; very dangerous team. Solid defense, great running game, and Tanny can sling it. We know Houston, Buffalo, both good teams, well rounded, & while it would be a 2nd time seeing either of them this year, I escared of Ten, let the Pats knock them out
  7. Reasonable price.
  8. Sing along! Head, shoulders, knees & toes, knees & toes....
  9. I agree, while his speed and quickness are good when blizting, closing the gap etc, his instincts and skill just are not good enough to warrant more playing time. When they sat him down and looked for other backers, his number was up here at season's end..
  10. It’s been a great season for the Ravens, but as that great season winds down, things may not be OK between the team and linebacker Patrick Onwuasor. According to reporters on the scene, Onwuasor and Ravens head coach John Harbaugh had a heated conversation on the practice field, and Onwuasor left practice afterward. Harbaugh told reporters afterward that he considered it an “internal matter” and wouldn’t divulge details of what was said. Onwuasor’s playing time has declined this season and he is believed to be disappointed by that. After playing almost every defensive snap in the first five games of the season, he has played less than half the snaps in every game since. Last week he played a season-high 11 special teams snaps, and it’s not unusual for players to take it as a demotion if they’re getting less time on defense and more on special teams. It’s unclear what today’s incident will mean for his status going forward.
  11. This is one we have never expected this year, a regular season game, with nothing to fear. We can sit back & relax, just take it all in, for the real season is about to begin. So whether they win or if they should lose, we can just sit back and kick off our shoes.
  12. Sauron used his magic spells to slow our warriors' minds, to confuse them, to cause them to make errors in judgement. Yet our warriors gave no quarter, they cleared their minds, they saw their foe for who they were, then they pounced on their prey. With power and determination they turned their foe into dust, and when the battle was over our warriors had taken the will from their foes, they were once again conquerors. They now stand firmly entrenched on the top of all who dared covet the Silver Betty. Those who's quest is to prove their metal to be the best now must come to our clan's ancestral land, where great battles have been fought since the dawn of time. Our warriors now how have time to heal, to rest, to prepare to face any and all who dare to enter this great territory. They have time to look back on the past, not to glory in it, but to learn from their mistakes even in their 13 victories. For we can learn much from lost battles, learn more from mistakes we make even in victories. You see, our past is preparation for the present, that we will have a glorious future. How many more battles can our warriors clain victory in? The story is yet to be written, but their quills are at the ready.
  13. Coach said there was no structural damage, likely a cramp, maybe a strain. Good news if he is being honest..
  14. Yep, he locked up the MVP today me thinks.
  15. Ten is the more dangerous team in the playoffs as far as them or Pit. Better qb & running game, defenses are about the same.
  16. I suppose I should also give props to Hill, afterall, the wind wasn't blowing so he had a very good game. Several key catches for first downs and the touchdown run.
  17. RG needs the start if anything else would have proved that today. Lamar was hit hard often, Ingram injured, how bad we have to wait and see. BeastDrews hobbled, Peters, etc.. If they can't beat that terrible Steeler team who cares, it would be awesome to knock them out again, but a healthy team is more important.
  18. #1 SEED! WOO -HOO! I've rarely seen a team play so badly, be so ill prepared, yet win... It was ugly, there were major mistakes, injuries, leg cramps from players not hydrating all week.... Coaching mistakes, fumbles, penalties, but they won. A special shout out to Chuck Clarke, I ride him hard and yes he gave up a touchdown, but he played a great game, best on the defense this week.
  19. Zeus jr has really impressed me this year. If you recall, I "begged" the Ravens not to draft him only to have them draft him right after I posted not to in the draft thread. He was lazy and weak, slow, took his size for granted coming out of college amd struggled with speed rushers because of the aforementioned. Yet this year he has turned completely around. When he hits free agency, he will get paid nicely. It's nice to be wrong sometimes.
  20. 10 game win streak, gotta think outside the box to keep it going
  21. https://youtu.be/6-sYTAHtzXM
  22. Can the Ravens defense stop the edges of rush the Browns love to run? If so, this will be a blowout win. The Browns are heard yelling to other teams to trade for them; wanting out of Cleveland. The Ravens are on a 10 game win streak, 12 players voted to the pro bowl game. Over confidence might set in which would allow the Browns to stay on top and possibly win. However! The Browns made the Ravens look like fools 11 games ago, so my thoughts are; Beware Browns; Something Wicked This Way Comes! Ravens by 17
  23. The temptation from Sauron R-revenge A-avenge V-vengence E-eye for an eye N-nemesis S-ortie Sauron will use his book of spells to temp our warriors into acting out of emotion, to seek revenge for a past loss. But revenge comes from conceit, it burns down deep and forces one to act out of character. To beat Sauron's species of arrogance, insolence, bluster and conceit, our clan has to fight with passion from their heart with their minds. You see passion is not an emotion that whithers away, it is a state of being. Avenge is a better choice, seeking to right a wrong done to others. Revenge is personal, but to avenge is for others, for your clan. A clan is a gathering of people from all walks of life, working together for everyone's enjoyment, a true flock if you will. Our warriors must not only fight their foe but their thirst for revenge. Sauron will tempt them, their foe will mock them, but if our warriors stay true to them selves, they will be victorious in the end.
  24. He is stating no team should pick him up off of waivers, he only wants to play for the Ravens, who have the last waiver spot.
  25. Well there is that, but tjat extra time could also give the Ravens not only rest, but time to prepare for the changes they will have to make when playing a team for the 2nd maybe even third time in a season....
