  1. Hahah... so awesome!
  2. Hahaha!!!
  3. Yeah, same old Kyle... http://www.thehollywoodgossip.com/2009/11/carrie-prejean-and-kyle-boller-dating/
  4. Before you criticize Foxworth, you guys do realize there is something called a Cover 2 coverage, right? Foxworth was not burned by Wayne, Reed's coverage was over top. When you have a team like the Colts who like to throw a lot of backdoor timing passes, you have to have your defensive back trail the receiver with help coming from the safety overtop should the receiver take the route deep. As for Foxworth's tackling, he is certaintly better than Fabian "Speedbump" Washington. Foxworth has solid form and makes a good effort everytime. He did well against the Colts on Sunday.
  5. Who's that? I am not sure, I might be willing to debate Walker performed better than Fabian. Walker is the king of PI penalties, but at least he would make an effort to break up a ball in the air.
  6. That is unfortunate to hear, Fabian is a good guy who gives 100% every game. He really put a lot of effort into getting better against the run these past few weeks. I hope he gets well soon! As far as the team goes, Fabian has been probably our worst defensive back this season. Ladarius Webb has been playing very well, lets see what he can do starting!
  7. Stover should be our kicker right now. Mike Duffy was tweeting that Stover was hitting 50-yard field goals in pre-game with no problem.
  8. This season has been a tale of two halves. The first half of this season our offense was kicking butt and our defense sucked, not in the second half it has been reversed. We just need this thing to come together. It is getting close, yesterday our offense put up 354 yards with an almost even run-pass ration of 31-35. We just need to convert in the redzone, something we were doing with ease in the first half of the season, but something that has become more difficult as of late. One of these games something is going to roll our way. Pittsburgh is struggling just as much as us. They have the number one defense in the league and a very good passing, so we certainly have our work cut out for us. But they are vulnerable against the pass with Polamalu out, and if we held against Manning's passing attack, why not against the Steelers and a banged up Roethlisberger? It will be a tough matchup, but certainly winnable, maybe even more so than yesterday's game.
  9. I was refering to VA's comment. Force, you were right about Washington. Here is what Joe had to say: It looks like Joe got a little too confortable with throwing the ball to Ray. In all honestly though, if Joe gets that ball out a second quicker Ray catches the ball on the run with a lot of room to run with. If Joe had predetermined he was going to throw the ball to Ray, he should have fired it out. Instead he waited and threw off of his back foot. It might have been a bad decision, but the INT was probably cause by poor mechanics.
  10. That is something else to consider, Foxworth was matched up against arguably the best receiver in the league yesterday and held his own. Foxworth is not a #1 corner, but he has the ability to be a very solid #2 for us if we can get a #1 guy or if Ladarius continues to develop. Ladarius is going to get some major playing time now!
  11. If you told me we would be down by less than a field goal to the Colts in the fourth quarter, I'll take my chances at winning every single time. Same goes for the games against the Vikings and Pats. This team is on the verge of breaking through. Even if we do not make the playoffs, it is critical to treat every game as if it matters. Going 9-7 does not mean we are a bad team, or even average for that matter. This thing is going to come together soon and when it does we will be a force to recken with. Honestly, what do you think the Bengals fans were saying last year about their team? This thing could get turned around in a hurry and it all starts next week against Pittsburgh. I'm so ready to sweep their asses!
  12. VA, No way Flacco is just average, average is Jason Campbell. Flacco was having a great game before the pick. It is not Joe's fault that his receivers cannot get open or that the offensive line cannot get a push on the goaline. Joe was driving us up and down the field. I did see something different with the offense yesterday that I had not seen before, Washington was lined up on the outside while Clayton was in the slot. Maybe that had something to do with it...
  13. That is the nature of the cover 2 zone coverage. Reed had deep responsibility on that side of the field. I thought Foxworth played pretty well yesterday, Washington was the one who was slipping all over the place.
  14. Max put it best in a previous topic, when Clayton and Washington cannot beat Indy's scrubs at corner, all the defense has to do is double Mason and cover Ray out of the backfield. Joe had all day to throw yesterday, and you could clearly see Joe was going through his progressions, guys like Clayton, Washington, and Heap were not getting open. Ozzie needs to get Joe some new targets.
  15. STAT BOOSTER!!!!!
  16. I would not trade for Boldin either.
  17. I noticed that as well. Foxworth and Webb worked well on the outside together.
  18. ESPN's Rumor Central is an absolute joke. It is just a rehash of what is found in local newspapers and pure, factless speculation. ESPN Insider is really only good for Scouts, Inc. and its draft and scouting coverage.
  19. Agreed. I guess hindsight is 20-20 though.
  20. I am most angry about running that counter to McGahee on third-and-goal. Who runs a counter on the goaline? The defenders are shooting the gaps in these situations, a countered is doomed from the start. We have a 265-pound horse for a fullback, give him the ball! Or at least try the QB sneak again.
  21. I think arguing about the Reed lateral is relevant. Ed realizes it was a bad play, the coaches do, and all the fans do. Bottom line is that is not what cost us the game. You bring up valid points about our redzone woes and Harbaugh's blunder with the challenge/time-out situation. More than anything, it was the wasted redzone opportunities that lost this game. Other than that, it was a solid gameplan on both sides of the ball. Even you have to be impressed dc with Cam's playcalling. I saw plenty of passes over the middle, quick slants, and other types of routes that I have not seen this season. Our chances deep actually seemed like they were being set up by our run game as opposed to just chucking it up like you have suggested. It all comes down to that goaline possession. As for the missed field goal, I am willing to give Cundiff a pass on that one. He hit four other very difficult kicks. The missed one did not hurt us because we gained valuable field position that nearly got us a touchdown. Cundiff was putting solid leg under the ball on the kickoffs, and save for one kickoff in the fourth, our coverage was sound. What needs to be examined is the consistent bad snaps on the field goals. Four out of the five snaps today were errant and saved by Koch (there was one bad punt snap as well that Koch had to save). I know Katula is dealing with an injury problem. If this is affecting his play, put him on the IR and get someone else.
  22. The gameplan was there, it all came down to that series of plays on the goaline. We needed that TD...
  23. We played against a championship calibur team today in Indy. None of the teams left on the schedule scare me, including Pittsburgh (who just lost to the Chiefs). If we could slow down Manning and the Colts offense, I do not see why we cannot do the same to Rodgers and Green Bay. At this point, I am thinking 10-6, win out and split with Pittsburgh. At the same time, I do not see why we cannot sweep the Steelers.
  24. It was going to take a perfect game to win today and our crew nearly pulled it off. The defense had a solid gameplan today and executed it excellently. Save the long ball on Washington, the defense bended but didn't break. Even though they did not get a sack, they got consistent pressure on Manning to throw his timing off. They shutdown the run for the most part, and most importantly forced turnovers. Today's defensive effort looked earily similar to the defensive effort put against the Colts in that 2006 divisional game. Ray got hurt early, and was clearly playing on a bum ankle, but still managed to make plays. Webb, Foxworth, Landry, and Reed all put forth very admirable games. Webb and Foxworth played well on the outside together. More great games go to Edwards (this guy was busting his ass up and down the field), Ngata, Ellerbe, and JJ (our defensive MVP). All guys played very sound games. On offense, yes, we could not score a touchdown, but the gameplan was what we needed to win. We ran the ball, ran the ball, and ran the ball some more. We kept Manning off of the field and won the time of possession battle. Save for Joe's interception at the end and Oher's offside penalty, this was a very disciplined game by the guys on offense. Mason showed up and made plays and Double R fought his ass off for every yard. And how about that offensive line? Joe was touched maybe twice all game against a fearsome pass rush! This game in my opinion was lost on our inability to pound the ball in on the goaline. We had three chances on the one-inch line and could not deliver. One play call I did not agree with was running a counter one third-and-goal. Just pound that thing in. At the very least you are stuffed on the goaline again and you are in better position to go for it on fourth down instead of being on the two-yard line. To beat teams like the Colts, you need touchdowns, not field goals. We will get our chance again next week against the Steelers. Going back to the topic, before you criticize, realize that we put forth one of our best efforts this year against potentially the best team in the league. In fact, six of our last seven games have been against division leaders. We ARE NOT a bad team, we have just come up short. In my opinion, this team is on the verge of breaking through. We just need to continue to progress on both sides of the ball, and get a couple more playmakers at receiver and defensive back. One more thing, before you claim we have no chance against Pittsburgh, they just lost to KC in OT. This is a different team without Polamalu, and even with him they have struggled putting teams away letting inferior competition stay in the game with them. If we play like we did today, we will beat Pittsburgh's ass. I don't care about the playoffs, lets sweep Pittsburgh's ass!
