  1. I dont like that bogged down possession.
  2. nice fumble recovery
  3. Wow Mike Nolan has fallen,
  4. I figure May or June.
  5. I did acknowledge that. I didnt even think he had that in him. In dc he couldnt even be responsible to not be stupid.
  6. I have not fully changed my mind. He just made a showing I didnt expect was there. He has to keep running with it.
  7. I am looking for the antibodies to wear off in Nov or Dec. Delta or its replacement should be going nuts by then so Lamar should be due to catch covid again then being that its a 90 day antibody reduction.
  8. After last yr I thought he was a washout. He was playing mostly the 3s last night but he looked very competent. I was expecting Pitt not to have an heir to Ben. So far after last night I am having 2nd thoughts.
  9. From wait florio. Orioles #1 prospect Adley Rutschmann (MLB'S #1 prospect for that matter) has played a combination of carcher, first base, and DH this season. Catcher is the most important position on a baseball team because the catcher not only hits but is responsible for managing the entire pitching staff on the field. Here is how the teams Rutschmann has played for this year (Bowie and Norfolk) have had their pitching perform in games Rutschmann catches vs games he has not caught. This post gives the team game # and stats of starting pitcher in that game as well as final score of the game May Rutschmann catcher #1 DL Hall 4.1 IP 0 ER 2 hits 2 bb's 10 K's (Bowie won 2-1) #3 gives up 4.2 runs per game Starters pitched 222.2 innings (4.1 innings per start average) Starters gave up 94 earned runs (3.80 ERA) Starters gave up 185 hits (7.4 hits per 9 innings pitched) Starters gave up 86 walks (3.5 walks per 9 innings pitched) Starters have a 1.22 WHIP Starters have 294 strikeouts (11.9 strikeouts per 9 innings pitched) Games Rutschmann does not catch 16-14 (.533 winning %) Team gives up 5.1 runs per game Starters pitched 131.2 Innings (4.2 innings per start average) Starters gave up 46 earned runs (3.14 ERA) Starters gave up 108 hits (7.4 hits per 9 innings pitched) Starters gave up 52 walks (3.6 walks per 9 innings pitched) Starters have 1.22 WHIP Starters have 154 strikeouts (10.5 strikeouts per 9 innings pitched) Starters have pretty similar stats in hits, walks, and WHIP in games Rutschmann starts vs games he does not. Starters strike out an extra batter and a half in games Rutschmann starts though. Couple that with the team giving up just about a whole run more in games he does not start at catcher (despite Starters ERA being slightly lower in games he does not start) and factor in that they have a much better winning % when he does catch compared to when he does not and it shows that Rutschmann has an ability to manage the whole staff well (including bullpen arms which is super important in minor leagues with every pitcher on extreme pitch counts) and the strikeout rates show he can get pitchers calls they need on close pitches with his pitch framing to bring in the strikeouts.
  10. The issue with Bateman is getting on the same page as Lamar. That is pretty much washed down the drain as Aug ends. The way practice in season works there is no time. The coaching staff is so ignorant sometimes.
  11. good luck with that
  12. Better to see and know than to just have life tell you where you stand
  13. Then dont write it up as an unforeseen bad move.
  14. No they didnt. After 2012 he had his best yr. We had seen he was streaky to that point and 2012 was the aberration. Also that yr Wiet had not started breaking down. That was the yr to put but on the market and maximize value. I said just that here at the time. Also the O's bid against themselves to keep Davis. I am so glad Elias is running things now bc he seems to have a much firmer grasp on what talent is worth.
  15. I think this means Batemean will be a wash for 2021. Losing the whole camp and preseason to get him and Lamar on the same page. As for Proche I think he could have a pretty great season. They should have played him in 2020. That is on the coaching staff for not getting him on the Feld. I think I am grabbing him as a quiet dark horse on FF.
  16. https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/31992693/baltimore-ravens-qb-lamar-jackson-noncommittal-vaccine-getting-covid-second Lets go for the covid hat trick in december. That time get some long haul lung issues.
  17. Why do they keep begging? Right there I am seeing wishing. You can wish in one hand and shit in the other and see which fills up first.
  18. But then you have the Phillies, Las, and las, gbs, and others where the winning stops when the qb gets paid.
  19. I looked at his contract a while ago. They have 2 yrs before his cap number is to big. It's a little over 5% this yr. In 2 yrs it jumps almost to 18%.
  20. I never said trade the qb every time. I would do it this time. Also I think the league is getting close to dealing with outsized qb contracts. I am heading over and over how it is destroying teams. A qb salary cap maybe implemented. They have to do something that is not the same as everyone else.
  21. Dallas is so sloppy. Can they win the east? I doubt it. Pitt was not impressive either.
  22. When was it tried?
  23. Or you trade an mvp and grab a new younger cheaper qb and extend the window.
