They have so many team like Tenn the rest of the way. Honestly I can see every team in the AFCN having .500 or better records this yr. Their offense is a mess. The whole thing isn't working right.

He showed up right at the post season. Bouldin was lighting up the league the whole time without him.
-
Take Crabtree out of that. He was hurt almost the entire season last yr.

Cutler's was outrageous. -
Basically agree on all points. Since it will take a couple of yrs to fix the problems why bring Suggs back? If guys aren't going to help you into the time when you expect to be good why keep those expensive pieces around?

Actually Daltons deal was for less than Joe but it was to high. But you believe that since other people are stupid you should be stupid with them? You don't have to follow idiots down the rabbit hole. -
I do think Joe should have thrown with the staff in the off season. He needed to work on timing with these guys. There simply is not enough time in the new CBA schedule to do that.

I think the CC arena idea is out also. The guy from Whiting Turner died. That was his plan. My idea would take tons of finagling. You would have to get control of the Md Jockey Club. Also get a partnership with the owner of the downtown casino. MD would have to fight the feds like Christy is on sports book. Finally acquiring all the land needed to build all of it. You are right on the being on the back end of the building frenzy. I see no point in chasing the tail. Go in a different direction. People want to go to Vegas, Orlando, or LA for a convention. People aren't looking at bmore as a destination. We can never build our way into being a draw either.

Does it matter who is asking for the money? No they didn't have to pay him. -

He is good enough for the right price. I have always said that. When he asked for more than what that price is they should have traded him. -

In an age where the rules cater to the offense and some pretty pedestrian guys put up stupid numbers Joe has sat in the upper part of the middle tier. That does not scream you have to have him to me. But the Ravens are paying like that though. If Joe played for a price that is reasonable for his skills I say keep him. With that offset money you can drown a D with more offensive talent they can't defend. -

I think that Caldwell called games that favored Joe's skill set and there was no tape of that for DC's to break down. -

Look at the run of the last three yrs. The only part that stands out as an outlier is the SB run. The Ravens got super hot for a run but before they were mediocre and since then they have been. -
I think the Ravens need a better QB. A smarter one.

Agreed. I think Harbs is smarter than Billick. I think he will be looking for a way out. -
It couldn't keep Otakon because the Convention center is to small for it now. I am not for making the CC larger. It is a boondoggle. They said build it and they will come the last time the CC was made larger. They didn't come. They said build a CC hotel and they will come. Now they don't come for either. That whole area is a grift. I agree on an Arena. The city should replace what they have. I figure 16,000 seats or so. I have thought they should build a new racetrack hooked to the casino downtown that is also connected to a new arena and a hotel. I would also like to see the state fight for sports book and put it exclusively at that casino. You can run lots of events that share the space and work in harmony with each other. All that said there is no reason they can't make it work here. This is where they used to do the draft before Radio City. They stopped using it because the Knicks owners killed the Jets stadium idea in Manhattan. http://specialevents.thegarden.com/#/theateratmsg

Agreed to a point. Torrey was productive before. Marlon was last yr. They didn't stop being good at catching balls all of the sudden. They may not get the offense and there for aren't getting as many balls there way. Also when they do come there way they are over thinking trying to figure out if they are doing the right thing making them drop balls. SS has been successful. Pitta was playing well before his hip. Daniels seems fine.
-
I am not dure about that. SS could be the WR in the best shape in the league. He is a workout warrior. He hasn't slowed down. Ray I saw slowing down for yrs. I saw him getting to a RB late or not being able to keep up with w receiver. I don't see why SS can't be a very large contributer for at least 2 more yrs after this season. The Ravens need a #1 type WR. Something more than a possession guy. The Ravens have had many WR's who can get a catch and move the chains. They have not had the dynamic guy to blow the top off the D. I was thinking Torrey was that guy but I really doubt he gets to be that guy. Bouldin and SS are the same guy in different bodies. They both play the dame game on the field. The Ravens did that all possession WR trick yrs ago and it failed. I think Torrey is having mental issues with this offense. to be in the WCO the WR needs to be as in tuned to what the D is doing as the QB. At the line he has to read where the DB's are lined up and change his route. The QB and WR have to see the same thing or the quarterback will throw the ball to a spot where he expects his guy to be and isn't there.

It is now time to talk about the draft

This is the kind of thing I have been warning about that is coming to the NFL. People think the NFL will keep up these numbers forever. I think they are insane. -
They don't need a Bouldin type. They have that in SS. They need a big target like Watkins, Bryant, Beckham.
-
True. They really need both.
-
They also need a new TE threat.

He has been ordered to testify. He tried to not have to.

I am looking at things a bit differently. I think at least 9 wins will happen. The schedule is so weak. The AFCN got a very favorable draw in out of div play. I am thinking that the SB run was an outlier. For a 4 game run they were super hot. But before that they were mediocre. Since the SB they have been mediocre. There is an organizational issue that needs to be dealt with.
