Manny Machado called up by Orioles at age 20
papasmurfbell replied to papasmurfbell's topic in Baltimore Orioles / MLB
Manny looked really good last night. Harper as of late has slid in his production. I think he was brought up to soon too. -
My eval of last night. The guys who deserve a lot of credit are as follows. Asa Jackson was very solid. That batted punt was monster. He also covered pretty good to. He might be a real gem. Rainey was very good. He rushes quickly for the hole. Also his punt return skills while not amazing were solid. I think he would a good punt returner. The RFA Thompson was amaing. yes he was going against the #3's but he is fast and has solid body control. He needs to make the roster as of the moment. Dickson looked smooth and athletic. If this is a look at his season it could be a monster one for him. Taylor is the real deal. In a couple of yrs I think the Ravens might be swindling a team for their picks with him. His arm was strong and he was very elusive. LaQuan looked good. he had a real nice reception. I also like his blocking when Taylor was turning the corner. Joe looked solid when he could throw. He out played Ryan. You could see they wanted to win the game by keeping their #1's in while are 2's were in and so forth throughout the game. BTW Matt nice pick. The Ravens are far deeper than Atlanta. The Falcons look to be about 1 deep and the rest look like warm bodies. Things that need work. It looks like the offense is going into feeling out the D for a quarter or so. Cam needs to end that crap. Get them going out of the gates. Ch 11's camera people suck. I was tring to see who on the OL was playing like crap. Oher when I saw him specifically looked good. Defenders were knifing in screwing up run plays. Only Rice being so good allowed him to negate that and not lose yardage. Also Flacco was getting knocked around a lot. The OL as a whole looked much like what Kyle Boller went through. Streeter needs to be hidden on the IR. He is not ready for 2012. He is a project. Allen looked podestrian last night. His holes were as large as a sewing needle's eye so there needs to be of a sample set to see if he has it or not. The D was getting pushed around some. Cody had a great batted ball. Very nice ups oon that one but later on they ran right over him for a TD. The DB's looked very solid as a whole. They gave up some but not horrid by any means.

Yep. They are not in football condition and these things happen. The NFLPA will screw themselves up when people get mad about these dumb injuries. Just by the look McBean should be happy to only have a break. His foot was going the wrong direction a little.
-
The Hawks will be penalized for this not TO.
-
No I do call it down the line. See what I will say about the game last night.
-
McBean's injury looked bad.

http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2012/08/09/seahawks-appear-to-violate-practice-rules-with-t-o/ Does the NFLPA want to make the game suck so people stop watching? Having rules about when and how a player practices is insane.

http://sports.yahoo.com/blogs/mlb-big-league-stew/manny-machado-called-orioles-age-20-140051477--mlb.html I am wondering if this is the right time for him. He is not hitting the cover off the ball in AA. They are burning a yr of control for about a month and a half. What say you? -

So your garauntee is worth crap. You talk a lot but it means nothing. -
http://espn.go.com/nfl/player/stats/_/id/8419/cedric-benson I see 3 consecutive 1000 yd seasons. Before Searcy got here he was a walking injury. The Ravens paid him off his reputation from yrs earlier.
-
Then the Ravens were getting the great Leon Searcy of teh Squealers?

What will you put on just the one this yr? -
New ownership and so far nothing has changed. The football gods hate them.
-
But the 73 Chargers were looking for a starter. Benson would be a backup and get to sort distance carries.

So you garauntee a SB win this yr? -
No my argument holds true. It is the same thing. Grinding out the hard yds. Foster last yr in the playoffs didn't have to grind. He was runnig easy. By memory Benson only had 1 easy game running on the ravens. Most of the mine he is doing the dirty work.

No MJD last yr got the hard yds. He was not getting a very good RPC average toward the end but that clock kept going and the Ravens ran out of time to get back in.
