That is right where he shouldn't be. He is not good in the booth.

I do not think he can do any worse than Trembley, Miller, Mazilli, Perlazo, or Hargrove.
-
We will see but I see them interviewing guys and getting turned down mover and over. I would let Rick Dempsey manage. He wants it. He knows the game. He won in the minors. It would also give Andy some time he needs to fix all the holes in the whole orginazation.
-
It is amazing that some players would rather get over than put themselves in the best position to win.
-
I started at that point to believe that Brian did not do whatever it took to win. You put your best out to get the win everytime. He would not do that. He used his favorites. Also he began to be more about arguing with Mike Preston than winning games. Several times I heard him initiate with Preston. He just wanted to be right and if winning got in the way of that then so be it.
-
Brian stopped consistently winning after 2004. I had started to sour on him after the 2001 season when he wouldn't put Randall in at QB during the playoffs when Elvis wet the bed. Peter has also driven off Jon Miller.

Yeah when you have a reputation you will wait for the Cubs job or another respectable franchise. When you can't break out of being a manager in the minors you take the O's job. I don't care if Davey is hard to get along with. He knows how to win so leave him alone. Peter wants people that will sit around kissing his ass.
-
Sry it doesn't. It dumped to the main page for photbucket.

Can't see the picks. We need your password or you need a public address.

I don't see anyone that is worth anything wanting this job. They don't want a manager with a spine. Thet last one they had Peter ran out of town the day he won MOTY. No manager has been allowed to pick his own staff. They want a manager that will know his place and stay there. That kind of attitude translates to the field.

Crabs and oysters will get very expensive this yr

The President was damned if he does or doesn't on this. If he steps in they are messing with private enterprise. If he doesn't we have what we do now. Persoanlly I would like if he had erred on the side of fixing this fast. Then you have how do yo stop this. The feds are not in the oil business so they do not know how to stop a problem like this. BP should know more but it looks like they don't. This morning I was watching CNN and they were doing a story in Annapolis about how the crab houses are paying about 30% more on a bushell this season. As for the partisanship of every decision. I agree that is exactly where we are going. I was flipping through the channels the other night and stopped on Hannity for a second. They were talking about an impeachment for trying to give Sandeck (I think that's his name) a job to bail on the Senate seat in PA. I would bet every administration during my life has tried to give quid pro quo jobs. -
Wow that firing of Dave was all they needed. NST has been thinking about when they will get to 20 wins. They think after July 4. I think they are pretty spot on. So Dave was winning at a .278 clip. Say Juan is at .150. Do they find an interim from the interim Manager?
-
I am happy for Dave now that he has escaped this mess. Unless they give some obsene amount of money to a manager they will get only another loser. They need to do the same for a middle of the lineup hitter.

It is the right call.
-
No what I am saying is we are not really that well stocked in the minors. All the trades Andy made have pretty much gotten all the position players up already. What they need is 4-5 solid prospects at about every level pushing their way up.
-
Umps don't like to go in behind a one of their own and change his call. It isn't about being wrong or right just cover his ass.
-
It would not make the game longer but shorter. There would be no arguments about a call like last night. An ump in the pressbox calls down to say this is the call. Problem solved. I have the human element argument with officials. More with football than baseball. A 300 pound DL is trying to tackle a scrambling QB then the QB slides at the last posible second and the lineman hits the QB. The runner knows if and when he will slide not the tackler who is in the motion of tackling and momentum is carrying him now. Last I knew players are human and are stuck with the laws of physics. Bud should not change the call. "I'm sorry that it was called that way but the play must stand." What is done is done. You can fix the future. I was watching Mike and Mike this morning and they went through a very extensive list of bad calls by umps over the last 20-25 yrs. They had to have had at least 15 off the top of their heads including Jeffery Maeir.

I say everything other than balls and strikes. I would go for a computer doing balls and strikes. It would not be that hard.
