I've never seen a talent like Lamar before in football. The kid is only in his second year! Wow! Just, Wow!
-
I agree Max...Tucker wins it for us in a close game. A real nail-biter.
-
Oh what the hell---Ravens 24 Pats 21.
-
Really exciting times!

Yup ref’s will be rough on our d. But if they take your advice we will prevail.

He was literally hopping mad(d) great read

Lamar is a real leader. He makes everyone around him confident of success. He knows how to carry the team on his back when necessary. A real big change from Joe. -
Feels great to be wrong!!! Gooooooo Ravens!

Seahawks 31 Ravens 13. Hate to say it but, Seahawks 31 Ravens 13. Here’s hoping I’m wrong.

Good trade! And hopefully we can use Max’s idea about releasing Smith and Canady and sign him long term. If not we get a comp pick anyway as Taylor suggests. My only concern is can Harbaugh deal with his personality? Anyway, another smart move by Eric.

At the moment, Lamar is the most exciting player in football! Stay healthy, though!

Seattle is a very hostile environment to play in. Wilson is having a terrific year and, at this stage, he's more polished than Lamar. Our defense won't be able to stop the Seahawks. Lamar will pull off a few very dazzling runs and maybe a pass or three to keep the score somewhat respectable but Seattle is on a roll with Wilson right now. When I look at Seattle's team I think I'm getting a preview of what the Ravens will be like next year or the year after. (I hope!) Meanwhile, these injuries are killing us. We've got to get Brown back on offense. I think our defense, which is only fair when healthy is so riddled with injuries that it's done for the year. And there wasn't a whole lot of talent to begin with. The Pats may be a different story. Best team in the league but they'll be playing in a very hostile environment. But with no pass pressure do we really have any chance against the Pats and Brady? I'm hope Jimmy Smith is back by then. But even that won't be enough.

It was an interesting win to say the least. Great effort by Lamar but he's got to hit the dirt before taking some of these hits. His passing was good---only one or two lapses. As has been said, the TE's have to cut out this jumping shit. Somebody wake up Bozeman in the huddle when the snap count is called. I liked the game. Lamar is simply fantastic but I don't know how long of a career he's going to have. He took some tough tackles running today. So next is Seatlle then NE. We'll be moaning after those two so enjoy it now.
-
Yeah, me too. I'd really like Lamar to have a field day because they are about to hit the toughest part of their schedule. San Fran really did a number on Mayfield and the million dollar offense. I wonder what they'll do us. I hope to see gradual improvement in the 'D' this week.

would you, if you were in charge, trade for Trent Williams?

Preston makes some good points: https://www.baltimoresun.com/sports/analysis/preston/bs-sp-ravens-preston-pass-rush-20191008-suk7mne6yvg77m2y3onxa7xcly-story.html I really think we'll cover better if we can just get defensive pressure. Have to wait until the draft though unless DaCosta pulls a Houdini. -

Defense has to come first...particularly the pass rush. Hard to believe there's no one on this team who can be counted on to apply pressure, hits, and sacks. -
Boller was a good guy; he just couldn't settle down as Tsyl said. But glad he's doing alright now.
-
They have to beat the Bengals...I think we have the edge as long as we don't come out lethargic as in the Browns' game. Green is out and Dalton ain't bad but they seem to have no defense. (kind of like us).
-
I agree with all the evaluations about Moore. Any thoughts on Hurst? He seems to get open more and more frequently??

The defense is the unit that needs an infusion of new good talent. At least 1 really good pass rusher and 1 other who's better than what we have now. Please no more Williamses or Bowsers. In fact we might want to trade up when draft time comes to get a blue chip player...a long way away right now. -
Much too early to worry about this.
-
We're lucky to have him. He didn't play well today but he always takes responsibility. I've never heard him blame anybody other than himself. Except jokingly about the turnover jinx. Also, when he runs out of bounds and accidentally runs over a press guy or gal he helps them up, apologizes, and seems genuinely sorry. Really hard not to like this guy. https://www.baltimoreravens.com/video/lamar-jackson-no-more-interception-jinxes

They can't.
-
Minimal Offense. No D. It's becoming a theme. Pass Protection for Lamar was hard to watch and the O-line didn't open many running lanes for Ingram or Lamar. We really should have lost this game. Down to a 3rd string quarterback Pitt almost won it. Ugly game! But a win is always better than a loss.

Maybe I've been too harsh on Thomas. Maybe they're trying to hammer a square peg into a round hole with him and the defense.
