  1. Good move. Hopefully, Stanley who is an 'A' blocker can develop some leadership skills, if he hasn't already, to help the rest of the line. Like Yanda did.
  2. I can't say I remember for sure but I believe Orrsville was in the closed end of the stadium. Can't recall which corner. There are others on the website who probably remember better than me. I loved that guy.
  3. Good insight, Max. That is the biggest difference with the offense this year.
  4. Interesting thought. We should probably give our new guys a shot first.
  5. Exactly.
  6. Boykin does have good hands---and apparently little else. I sound like a broken record: let Proche and Duvernay play dammit.
  7. I just can't see a Ravens' win here unless the full offense shows up: running, passing, receiving, and blocking. They haven't put all these together yet. As I argued for earlier, time to replace Boykin with Duvernay if B. can't produce this game. And Stanley, Brown, et.al., are going to have to get fired up and block. Steelers 24 Ravens 13 unless they wake up.
  8. I'm almost speechless as to how does Dacosta keep doing this? Super move!
  9. I don't understand either. But I do think there is talent with Duvernay and Proce on this team that needs game time looking at. I'd forget about Boykin...he's had more than enough time to succeed. Put Duvernay in there. Put Proce in there. Together. At the same time. At least Brown is getting open but what happened to our downfield passing game? Is it over with for the year? Why?
  10. I agree but don't think we'll have to wait that long. If they beat Pittsburgh I'll put them back in elite status.
  11. I think the answers to all these questions will all come out in the Pittsburgh game. Can the Offense run the ball and run time consuming drives especially when ahead? Is Lamar 2020 as good as Lamar 2019? Will the receivers get open? Can the defense stand up for 4 quarters against an elite team? Can the Ravens beat an elite team? I don't know what the answers will be. This team, this year is a mystery but we all will find out soon enough---two days before the election when another big unknown gets answered (maybe).
  12. I think Lamar and the offense will get its mojo back and the Ravens have a solid win.
  13. Good opportunity for the Ravens passing game to get healthy. They just have to remember to run to set up the pass. Hopefully, Lamar's knee is better and he can take off now and again.
  14. I think Jackson is hurting. His knee kept him out of practice for 2 days and it really showed. Super job by Andrews and defense won the game for them this week.
  15. I don't think we have the horses to generate a non-blitz pass rushing attack. It's been this way since T-Sizzle started to slide. There is no one rushing the passer who puts fear into them. And we won't be able to do anything about it until after the season ends unless they want to make a trade which I doubt.

With the situation like it is, Max, you had no other reasonable choice. I am high risk also so I know how you feel, I think. But as one who has been retired for a number of years now and who also took an early retirement with a reduced pension, you may find retirement is a lot better than you may think it will be. I also found I needed less money to spend than when I was working. So God bless you and yours.

I have to disagree Max. If they had maintained the restrictions for just another 4 weeks, we may have taken a big bite out of the virus at least until the autumn wave arrives. Now we're all vulnerable.

We'll bounce back. I hope we'll get a new President and Senate and things that need to get done will get done. As you said it's a long grocery list but we just have to make some real progress. In the meantime, I'm going to go drink my Lysol cocktail and swallow some lit light bulbs after that.

As hard as it may be, if Trump rushes a premature re-opening and we have a national 'relapse' the negative economic and health consequences to the country could very well last into next year and what a mess that would be. I don't know if we can survive that long on the competence, or lack thereof of our president. I can't say it often enough to him: 'Listen to Faucci'. He is the guy with the smarts, knowledge and training whose advice should be adhered to now.

Thanks, and I hope things work out for you too, Dee, and Max. Difficult times for sure. I look forward to when we emerge on other side of this.

Well, guys my wife and I are both 71 and our adult son is living with us because he's recovering from congestive heart failure that he got from a virus in December. Work was driving him crazy too. He's on some pretty strong medication while he recuperates here. He's been able to resume teleworking but going to work was out anyway. We won't know how he's really doing until late May. Soooo, we have 3 high risk people living under the same roof. Got our first food delivery from Instacart yesterday and were very pleased with that. Just got our first delivery of son's meds from the pharmacy and that went well too. God bless the people doing the deliveries and the shopping for us. And of course the docs and nurses and other medical people. Right now we're following all the orders to a 't'. Hoping if everybody does the same we'll flatten the curve.
