  1. I don't know anything about Maysfield. Can anyone enlighten me regarding how he could come in and outperform Joe? I'm not saying that he can't because I don't know him. But I do know Joe and he's a middle of the pack QB in my eyes.
  2. The Ravens are not going to a superbowl # 3 without a couple of "gems" found in the 1st or 2cnd round. I'm talking about football players with the likes of a Ray or Jonathon. Mediocre players will keep you just that- mediocre.
  3. Especially # 3. Collins? West? Not every down backs? That's news to me. And I agree that IF a QB who has a good chance of being a # 1 for us is there in the 1st, take him. If not, then next year and the year after that. Joe has not earned his money and his cap situation has only drug this team into mediocrity.
  4. Well, I always look on the bright side. This will give our second and third string alot more snaps and this means more experience. A couple of questions here. First, who are these players that will be out and for how long? Sorry to test you here max, but anyone who knows is more than welcome to post this knowledge. Secondly, who are we playing the first three or four games?
  5. If I were a reporter, my questions would be these: 1.) Do you wear boxers or briefs? 2.) What's your favorite tree? 3.) Do you have a dog and what's his name?
  6. And as he was pushing himself off a QB that he had just sacked, would tell them, "I'll be back". Great player, great motivator, Ray put the Baltimore Ravens on the map. Congratulations Ray Lewis. Your kind come around only once in a blue moon.
  7. Grub is right papa. You are just a hater and you have dedicated your life to spreading the word. In reference to your thread about how the Jags have progressed while we are regressing, all teams go from the top to at least the middle and vice versa. We were, 1n1996 & 1997, the leagues laughing stock. Then three years later, we won the superbowl. This Ravens team is NOT regressing, they are just staying mediocre. That is unacceptable if you are a a Raven fan. This team will return to the top sooner than later, barring all this bad luck with injuries. As for me, I'm sticking with them. I'm a real fan, not a hater.
  8. He does look alot like Brees. If you remember, the Ravens had a shot at Brees way back when.
  9. Perriman, actually for the last three years. A TOTAL BUST. The sooner he goes, the better we'll be. Also, Maclin started the season on very high hopes, but was oft injured. Disappointing but not a bust. West- he will be let go, since we now have three very good running backs next year. I just hope we can get an additional draft pick for him, like a 3rd rounder. Several teams out there would want him.
  10. Ever wonder how it is that year after year, the Steelers are able to draft and develop outstanding wide receivers and tight ends while we can not? Why is this? That's is the biggest reason why they compete every season and we do not. Whoever is in charge of scouting for wide outs should seriously be looked at more closely. He's not doing his job. Maybe we should look at the Steelers scout and offer to double his salary.
  11. Agree with that. Something has to change there. This has to be more than coincidence.
  12. But it's legit if they truly have injuries, as had this team for quite a few years. Our O-line is disicipated. Our tight ends- gone. DB's lost DE;s gone for the season. In essence, we were playing not our best football players. Instead, the guys behind them on the bench. And I'm not complaining, they almost got us there. But these injured guys were some good football players. You're not going to get a winning team when so many are standing on crutches. So, regardless, it is an excuse. I have no freaki'n idea why we are racking up so many IR's. Just freak accidents perhaps. I don't have the answer to that question either. But I do know this. Get them healthy and keep them that way and we're back in those playoffs again. It's a very simple formula- stay healthy. Guys like Marshall Yanda, Alex Lewis, Jaylen- Hill, Jimmy Smith,, Reggie Porter,,Brent Urban, Bam Bradley, Kenny Dixon, Albert McClellan ,Tavon Young, and Crockett Gilmore to name a few. That's more than a few good players.
  13. I pretty much have to agree here. Has Harbaugh reached that 7 year high? Have the players stopped listening to him? I don't know, I really don't. I'm not in that clubhouse. But the team seemed to stop playing after week 14. A dismal showing at home vs. the Colts. Then the Cincy game, again at home was horrendous. I like John Harbaugh, but SteveB. has to be wondering too. The Ravens are expected to come out healthy at the start next year, as expected. I disagree only on one point. I believe that they DO have good players. So, that said, I believe that would be an important factor in the owners decision to bring him back. But, I would bet my house that John has one more year only to turn it around and go deep into the playoffs. Injuries will beat any team.
  14. Running backs. They have four good backs going into the 2018 season. Alex Collins, Buck Allen, Ken Dixon, and Terrance West. I think West is the odd man out. Could he be traded? Can we get something for him?
  15. They proved once and for all that they don't belong in the playoffs. Very sad loss. Not much more to say than that.
  16. As explained in another thread, just go for it- take a QB in the first round- best available.
  17. Ravens are heading into this season withe league's worst cap space. No one here is mentioning Flacco. SteveB. created this mess when he gave Joe $121 million. Joe has not come close to delivering on that. In essence, we are again being held hostage by that cap number this year. Release him and bam, we are in alot worse cap space. 2019 is a different story and it's "seeya Joe!". Yes we are going to need receivers and and tight ends in this years draft. But drafting a QB in the middle rounds is nonsensical. I say take a QB with our first pick because the QB position is all about talent. You either have the talent to be a top teared QB in the NFL or you don't. I have to agree with most people here that we should hit bottom next year and start a total rebuild in 2019.
  18. We were on our way to victory late in the game when leading by 3, Weddle has a clean pick but it was nullified by that dummy Marlon Humphrey holding penaly. That would have been the game and we should be headed to K.C.
  19. Max, I don't know about top 5, but he is a good head coach. I'm thinking 6-9th category.
  20. Tornado700

    lol

Yeah, he's due after last week. I was thinking the same, but at least one.
  21. Atlanta, Carolina, San Diego all hard to win games. Overall- looks like a pretty tough schedule. But, we'll hang, guaranteed.
  22. Good to talk to you again, Max. I just hung my Raven flag up too. Mighty cold out there. Just wait until this evening. Go Ravens! Must win game for them.
  23. I'm back to talk Raven football and not to get involved in politics on this board. We beat Cincy in much the same manner they beat Indy. Close game throughout and a big defensive turnover late in the game for the win. Then it's off to Kansas City. Burflict is out but four of our key players are questionable. Green has to be double teamed throughout like game 1. One big problem that I see though? It's Marvin's last game in the league. Those Bengals are going to want a big win for him. Ravens 30-23.
