    Patriots...

The D sucks so the Ravens should have their way...running or passing...but they got to score TD's, not field goals because Brady is on fire... He's having the best season of all the QB's in the NFL. 911 yards for a 69.7 comp %, 9 TD's and 2 INT's for a QB rating of 109. He's only been sacked 5 times. The Pats offense is #1 in points scored with 32.8 points per game!!!!!!!! The Ravens are averaging 18.4. The good news is the Ravens don't have Frank Walker, Bart Scott or Rex Ryan to blow a Ravens/Pats game this year. Oh! Here's two things you are not going to see: T. Brady - 154 YDS, 2 TD, 3 INT for a QB rating of 49.1 J. Flacco 4/10 for 34 yards 3.4ypa with 0 TD's & 1 INT for a QB rating of 10.0 That was their numbers the last time they met in the playoffs.
  3. Yea...Belechik and the Pats will be ready and well prepared. The Ravens need to continue with the smashmouth game. Just execute and win the 1 on 1 matchups. Win it in the trenches and they will win this game.
  4. The Ravens are 4-1 going into New England. We've had 5 games to get a feel for this 2010 Ravens team. After week 7 Reed will be back...Kruger too...the secondary is playing well...offense is clicking... I took a peek ahead at the schedule and I'm quietly optimistic the Ravens will be 9 and 2 going into the Pittsburgh game at home week 13. That smells of playoffs to me. Week 6: at New England Patriots (Sunday, Oct. 17 -- 1 p.m.) Week 7: Buffalo Bills (Sunday, Oct. 24 -- 1 p.m.) Week 8: BYE Week 9: Miami Dolphins (Sunday, Nov. 7 -- 1 p.m.) Week 10: at Atlanta Falcons (Thursday, Nov. 11 -- 8:20 p.m.) Week 11: at Carolina Panthers (Sunday, Nov. 21 -- 1 p.m.) Week 12: Tampa Bay Buccaneers (Sunday, Nov. 28 -- 1 p.m.) This team looks like they can do that. I like the character, intensity and focus. The depth has carried them well with all the injuries. They are playing disciplined, physical football. It just feels like it's comming together....and they haven't played their best ball yet as a team.
  5. Yea...I was beginning to think he would be the next 'Priest Holmes' story...X-Raven turns Superman on another team.
  6. especially if the QB is shaky.... They had the lead...and gave it away throwing.
  7. 47 plays rushing with a 5.0 ypc...and 4 TD's!....that's just what this team needed as a tune up for the Pats. This is how they beat them in the playoffs. Plus the Patsie offense is similar to Denvers. Cundiff was great on the kick offs. lol...I just found out the Bengals lost.
  8. It was a beautiful day and the fans were in heavy party mode. As soon as I saw Flacco was accurate I never felt like the Ravens weren't in control. Thye Bronco's can't hang physically. Loved the Ray Rice show and Willis had a very good game too. 4 and 1 Baby!!!!! and this team is still in the process of getting better each week.
  9. Just what we don't need to see with a team that can only pass...
  10. Get me a hankie. He's been here a month. Is he not smart enough to understand it takes time to fit in an offense? Cam has to get a feel for him and Joe has to learn how to work with him. Haush has a lot of missed time to make up. The Ravens are about winning games and a championship....not about using games as practice time. Haush has missed 95% of this 2010 teams pre season preparation and practice for this season. The offense was installed before he got here. The dude needs to shut up, work hard and be patient. He should take Sunday's game as a positive step toward his being a bigger part of this offense.
  11. I'm not taking the bait BallT.
  12. "I can't wait for my Friday Night date with Gloria. When I hold her in my arms and wisper 'Don't worry Gloria, Ravens QB Joe Flacco is 5-0 against the AFC West, compiling a 94.1 QB rating. Flacco has completed 86 of 137 passes (67.8%) for 914 yards, 7 TDs and just 2 INTs.'....well, all she'll be able to say is 'Your place or mine?'
  13. ...or better yet, impress your date with all your knowledge...she'll be amazed at what a great catch she has. You can begin by telling her in the romantic glow of candle light... Dating back to the 2000 season, the Ravens have produced the NFL’s sixth-most wins, tied with Denver. Baltimore has also made six playoff appearances and won one Super Bowl during this span. During the John Harbaugh Era, the Ravens have produced 13 total road victories (including postseason play), earning a 2-1 mark this season (wins at NYJ and at Pittsburgh). The 13 away victories rank as the NFL’s second most since 2008. Only the Colts’ 14 are better. NFL ROAD VICTORIES / INCLUDING PLAYOFFS (Since 2008) Rk. Team Wins 1. Indianapolis Colts 14 2. Baltimore Ravens 13 3. New York Jets 13 Since 2000, Baltimore’s defense has registered the most shutouts in the NFL, blanking opponents nine times. New England Patriots 7 Seattle Seahawks 7 Dating back to 1996, the Ravens have posted 43 defensive touchdowns. Baltimore has scored a “D-TD” in each season of its existence and boasts a 35-7 record when doing so. Since 2003, the Ravens have totaled the second-most D-TDs (30) in the NFL. In those games, Baltimore is 24-5. NFL DEFENSIVE TOUCHDOWNS (Since 2003) Rk. Team D-TDs 1.2 Green Bay Packers 31 2. Baltimore Ravens 30 3. Minnesota Vikings 25 The Ravens’ defense prides itself on not giving up the big play. Since 2008, Baltimore has only allowed 41 passes of 25-plus yards and 78 runs of 10-plus yards. The passes tie for second best in the NFL, while the runs stand third during that span. The Ravens’ No. 2 defense (235.8 ypg) ranks first in third-down defense, allowing just 12 successful conversions on 51 attempts (23.5%). Of those 12 first downs, 1 has come on a third-and-10- plus situation, as opponents have gone 1-for-12 in such instances. Additionally, the Ravens’ 127 yards permitted on third down also rank as the NFL’s best defensive mark. 15. They're getting younger/rebuilding....Bellichek is getting his kind of guys (unselfish team players) and dumping anybody who is a "ME" man...like Moss
  16. Yea...they have 2 weeks to get ready for us and you can bet Bellichek will give this game his best preparation.
  17. I can't answer that dc but I'll take a guess. Joe was in a zone at that point in the game....like it all came together for him....all the stuff they've been practicing, teaching...plus he had time to let the play develop. Bouldin is new for him and he's only been around Haush for a month....he's still learning how to use and connect with them. What we saw in that drive was the goal that's been set for this offense....what they have been working toward as a unit...and all 11 players actually hit it.
  18. Out 2-4 weeks. Looks like Ngata is our DE until Redding can come back. Stay in the 3-4 most downs. They will need a pass rush Sunday against the pass happy Broncos.
  19. Thanks rm52...now I won't get enough sleep tonight. Also...I have the NFL Game Rewind...love it...$50 bucks cheap. HD quality if you have the good monitor.
  20. Not till mid season...I can see that. They certainly haven't hit it yet...when they do...look out! There was a good mix of the run/pass right up to McGahee's TD in the second quarter. The run game was effective.

    Respect

The Sun has a post "What they're saying about the Ravens". It's a good read...surprising too. http://www.baltimoresun.com/sports/ravens/bal-what-theyre-saying-about-the-ravens-1004,0,203694.story "Be carefull" the Oppressed Baltimoron in me says.....weren't they all over the Ravens after 4 games last year?
  22. and they are not running now. No coincidence. Not giving Ray Rice touches in the pre season is translating to the leagues 31st rushing attack in yards per carry and 22nd overall. It seems they just can't turn on the run switch and pick up where they left off last year. The Ravens certainly faced some excellent run defenses in the Jets and Pittsburgh, but the Bengals and Browns are average so far this season. It's out of balance in a different Ravens way. In the past they could run and pound the ball down an opponents throat, but the passing game was not very good. Now they can throw and the run game is weak. Makes you want to scream.... This was one sweet run...McGahee faking Farrior out of his jock...

    So True

Preston nails it.... I was talking to my son during the game about how well Oher and Yanda were playing. That's one hell of a game by the O line.
