Well...it's official. It's Ravens/Stillers Week! Now...it may look like it, but I got nothing against their fans...honest!

You see...I worry because Suggs can get flagged for a text book tackle of a QB but the Steelers can get away with this game after game...

Yea...you have to wonder about the fans...but they have players who can get out of control too.

I had a second take at this front page headline on nfl.com. This is the NFL's website and to take a cutting jab at one of their teams mocking their fight song......well...on second thought, it is an honest statement. This one is too...

A Ravens loss would put them 2 games behind the Steelers with Rthsslsxssbrrgrr comming back to get boo'ed in every stadium he plays in....what a phony. 2 'in division' losses...and the Ravens will be playing catch up all year. A Ravens win and both teams are 3-1. This is one huge game with a lot at stake. Because of that, I expect the usual war and ugly game....which the Ravens can win if they protect the ball. I think the run D will be excellent after what happened yesterday but the Steelers will stop the run too. So it boils down to who makes the 2 or 3 big plays...the Ravens? The Steelers? Or the Refs? "We can't do this next Sunday and get away with it."

Yea...I couldn't hear Buckcherry...only the singer. For an opening day it wasn't much...but the Browns will do that to you. Even the fans were in 'wine & cheese' pre season mode. They didn't get in game form until after Bouldin's 3rd TD.

Yea and bring back some of Billick's favorite plays like send the receiver out 5 yards on 3rd and 8. Or my all time favorite....send the RB out to the flat...look at him...look some more..defense sees this and immediately runs toward the RB...wait...throw ball to RB at last second before the corner and safety cream him. Oh that's a 3rd and 9 play too.

THAT YOU DO NOT PLAY THE RAVENS FIGHT SONG AFTER THE OPPONENT SCORES A TD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Like it's a favorible event for us. A good thing... "Yea! We held them to only a touchdown!" It was a great halftime show with Buckcherry and the Ravens band collaborating on a party song.

The Ravens are not ready to go to Pittsburgh and come back with a win. Great game for Joe, Heap, Bouldin...nice to see the running game get on track... Cundiff had a great day IMO. Lot's of hang time on those deep kick offs took Cribbs out of the game. But... 144 yards for Hillis!?!! 6.5 ypc!?! The crowd wasn't in the game for long stretches as the D could not get off the field. In fact, during the last Ravens scoring drive the crowd was getting ready to 'Boo'....it was starting...a low murmer and Flacco to Heap saved the day on 3rd and 8 opr 9....if Joe doesn't convert on that 3rd down play the fans were ready to let the O hear it. Of course minutes later as Bouldin hauls in his 3rd TD catch everybody's happy...loving Joe ect. Then the fans woke up and yelled their ass's off for the D.

With all the moaning about the Offense and Flacco the past 2 weeks (and I've been part of it), I read this and thought to myself "Shut up and be gratefull." How soon we forget the puny offenses of the Ravens past before Flacco, Rice, Cam and Harbaugh... "I have no idea how these got in here... Now...Be Gratefull!

Is this a "Get Healthy" game for the Ravens Offense? Specifically, is it a get healthy game for Flacco? ...for the running game? "Look...it's a sweet deal. You can coach the Browns and I'll quarterback for them. The fans won't know the difference."

That fall cost him a boatload of money. Hope he makes it back 100% and can live out his dream. It would be an incredible story if he eventually becomes an impact player and a pro bowler.

...Here's my "From Left Field" theory... Remember the huge sandwich hit Joe took on his first snap? He was crushed. Wiped Out for the day. Well that actually hurt him, stiffened him up and affected his throwing mechanics. Like last year, when he wouldn't let anybody know how badly he was hurt...well...he's doing the same thing now. He silently is keeping his mouth shut while getting bashed...call it a second beating. Well...having said that...I feel like shit for bad mouthing that brave, young man.

What was it? 15 grand? Cheap.....for him. I thought they would throw him out. You don't touch officials.
