A Browns fan replying to a thread title " What we learned from this game."

OOPS! Ben throws and INT for a TD...13-10 game...
  3. No INT's...1 TD...342 yards...spread the ball to 7 receivers I think....70% completion... The guys ....a dream come true. and the crowd went wild for Derrick. Congrats on 800 and another great game.

    How's Ray?

Good news. I watched Barnes and Aybadejo...they played well filling in....McClain too.

I'm going to be a busy man...I have the Browns and Redskins boards to read... ... the Washington Post....Cleveland Pain Dealer... The Bengals?...looks like they forgot to show up...very disappointing on an otherwise beautiful Sunday.

    How's Ray?

cool Spen. crav had me thinking worse...like the sholder was out. Good to see you around...
  7. true...the 3 INT's really helped... There were not many Browns fans at the game but the ones there had either a Cribbs jersey or a Quinn jersey on. Perhaps now, the Quinn honeymoon is over.
  8. Ray Lewis. Anybody know what his injury is?

    lol

What else can you say about the Browns? Quinn was terrible...he get's benched..Anderson comes to the rescue... and looks worse! This was "their season". You'd think they would show up and make it a game. Nope. Mangini??? Obviously not the answer.

    Week 3

Leaveland was never in the game...nevertheless...the atmosphere was festive at the Bank.
  11. The Browns coaching staff desperately want a victory...I'm telling you...this is their season. Expect a dogfight. Now...Rob Ryan could be a big fat liar too...
  12. Yea...not too shabby RavensFanNC. Let's keep it up! I read this and still it's not sinking in...our Ravens???! It starts with the O line...they give Joe time to throw and they do the road grading. Flacco is reading the defenses and the field very well...because he's worked so hard. What an arm! I like how he's become more aggressive....more confident...and serious...serious about getting 7's. The 3 headed monster is healthy and peaking. Derrick is serious about going all the way and works his butt off. Heap's back...Washington is the surprise player this year. Then there's Cam...wow!
  13. Good show dc...way to stick your neck out! I don't see a shut out either. Maybe 6-13 Brownie points. You have a decent chance of seeing 2 100 yard Ravens rushers if Birk can steer Shawn Rodgers. I'm glad you brought up the Steeler/Bengal game. A Steeler loss would be sweet. I'd love to see the balance of power in the AFC North shift with the Ravens #1 (of course)...Bengals 2...& the Steelers and Browns fighting in the cellar. The Steelers have such a cupcake schedule that it will take an unlikely sweep by the Ravens and Bengals to knock them out of the playoffs. I think one of these guys doesn't finish the game...Jerome Harrison or rookie James Davis....maybe both. WARNING! WARNING!!! A word of caution to the Ravens Defense: DO NOT KNOCK BRADY QUINN OUT OF THE GAME! You do not need Derick Anderson and Braylon Edwards on the field at the same time. Be gentile guys...pick him up...dust him off...tell him to go to his happy place... I'm definately looking for some big defensive plays Sunday. It's time....well...Ray's hit on Sproles to seal the deal was very, very big. Funny scene of the day (Friday)...I walked into the Bank of America in Crofton and all the tellers were forced to wear Redskins shirts. I said to my teller " Wow....they're making you wear Redskins shirts!" She just stood there and rolled her eyes in abject humiliation. How much should innocent people be forced to take?
  14. This is a good game for the Ravens to correct some of their problems and tune up for the Patsies. There are 2 sides to the outcome of this game. 1. The Browns will show up...this game is their season. They always play the Raverns tough. The Ravens have played 'down' to their level in the past....could be close and sloppy...I know...I know... 2. This is a different, more balanced Ravens team. They'll be focused because of the importance of a divisional game plus there is an offense that scores. This Mangini's 1st shot at Baltimore and his team has not bought in. This from a writer whom I respect...he lays out the facts in a solid article... Wow Joe!
  15. You can't. Not until Art Model gets into the Hall Of Fame will the Curse be lifted.
  16. I like the high power rankings the Ravens have received this week but I don't think they are accurate. One final, sobering thought on the Ravens pass defense... It's a fine line between winning and losing in the NFL and the Ravensw are on that edge. Consider this: The Titans are last in the NFL in pass defense, they're second against the run allowing just 49.5 yards per game. The Ravens are 28th in pass defense, 1st against the run allowing just 41 yards per game . The Titans are 0-2. The Ravens are 2-0. If the pass defense doesn't get tightened up soon, then this season could go in the tank in a hurry.
  17. Here's the numbers from the Sun... The article has Mattison and his players saying they can correct this. We'll see.
  18. "The big question...Will the Ravens beat the spread?" I'd say it's 50-50 because it's a divisional game...and because the Ravens haven't solved giving up the big play...yet.
  19. Franz will be on the Bruce Cunningham show in half an hour....105.7fm
  20. That's about it dc...now for some vmax subplots... This is a great week for the front 7 to get sack healthy. Look at this game as a tune up for the Pats...an excellent opportunity to address the defencies of last week. Brady (Tom) has to be pressured, hit, harrassed and knocked down to have a chance at getting a 'W'. So...why not begin by pressuring, hitting, harrassing and knocking down Brady Quinn? Afterall, the young lad is getting used to it. Chase him like the chicken in the barnyard. I agree with what you said on Edwards and the big play. Fortunately there is only 1 of him so the Ravens secondary can focus on shutting down 1 guy because Randy Moss is up next. The Ravens secondary might practice picking off some balls if the front 7 does their job of harrassment. The offense can work on pounding the ball. The O line can perfect their road grading tecnique. Joe can pad some stats...have more time to work with his receivers and develop that chemistry. All of you probably missed this next one...but not me! It's the last week of September! What's next? October! When all the Cleveland fans interest turns to the upcomming NFL Draft! 6-7 months away! After this game, their fan base will be discussing who to get with the first pick in the 2010 draft....who should replace Mangini...
