  1. Is it time for Roman to take the walk? Hey! That looks like him a little bit! YES...I'm long winded... My first major concern with Roman was his press conferences from when he got the job to all the way up until last year. He was a terrible, stumbling communicator. I wondered if he came off like that with the players. He has become better in that area. Then the Ravens had the #1 or #2 rushing attack for the last 2 years, #1 scoring offense in 2019 (never imagined a Raven team could do that) and #7 last year. I thought, like most fans this is good and exciting. Actually, for the 1st time since the Ravens came here it was a fun offense to watch. Then came the in-your-face glaring weakness: Last in Passing. The Ravens could not come from behind. This had to change ASAP. EDC got the receivers. Martin, Hewett and Urban got on board. The pieces were in place although the O line was once again in transition and not built to protect the QB. Yet...the much-needed pieces are there. Currently the Ravens are #11 in passing. Up from an abysmal 32nd ranked 2020 passing attack. I'll over generalize a bit here. training camp comes, Lamar gets covid and misses a ton of very valuable time practicing. Time that was essential for his development as a passer and for the chemistry with his receivers. Time that was lost and cannot be gotten back until camp next year. Fact More pages.... So the passing O got hamstrung out of the gate and we see mixed results. Then the Rushing attack was obliterated and a bunch of slow over the hill runners were brought in. Runners no DC had to worry about. Getting Villanueva was a big mistake by EDC. Not athletic enough to defend against the speed and athleticism of todays edge rushes. Then Stanley does not pan out....and here we go...a very suspect weak O line. Then Covid. Then Lamar regresses after the Vikings game and later gets injured. Any Ravens QB or OC has no respectable running game to assist them. That sets up a "FAIL" for any passing attack unless you have Brady or Rodgers. This is why I held back on joining the "Fire Roman" contingent of fans and had to be "Devil's Advocate." The #1 reason that I have been holding back on "Fire Roman" cry is due to the lack of definitive evidence that he has failed to evolve as a "Complete OC." Meaning he has failed to find a way to incorporate an effective passing attack into his excellent rushing play book and has failed to evolve into an OC who can call the chain moving/box 8 killer/ point scoring air attack during games. It can be done. Roman has to evolve too as an OC after 2 stints with the 49'ers and Bills. That remains the knock on him. I doubt any OC could get the passing attack that the fans want and get this 2021 team to the next level with what has happened to the Ravens offensive personnel this season. 2 more games left to inventory his performance on the job. Can Greg evolve as a pass play caller with a healthy roster and off season and avoid the "Walk?" Who replaces him? Where are they? Will firing him set this Ravens offense back a year or 2? Lot of questions and little time to get answers. What are your thoughts?
  2. Fox just flexed down the Ravens/Rams game to 1pm.
  3. They have to play the Titans and Texans. They could lose to the Titans if the Titans can run the ball and play good D. Texans just slaughtered the Chargers. Who knows how things will pan out in this crazy season?
  4. From a Ravens fan...Found a way we can get in even if we lose against the Rams We beat the Steelers Dolphins lose at least 2 of their last 3 Chargers split their last 2 Browns lose 1 more Raiders lose to the Colt
  5. Update. Jeff Zrebiec on Twitter “Ravens inactives: QB Lamar Jackson (ankle), FB Patrick Ricard (knee), WR/KR returner Devin Duvernay (ankle), LG Ben Powers (toe), RT Tyre Phillips (knee), OLB Daelin Hayes. No Hayes leaves Ravens with only three OLBs and may mean Malik Harrison gets snaps on outside today.” Jeff Zrebiec on Twitter “With Pro Bowl returner Devin Duvernay out, James Proche, Tylan Wallace and Rashod Bateman are taking return reps in pregame. Proche has been first man up, for whatever that's worth.”

    Buy Or Sell

I'll sell. From what I am hearing Huntley will start. He's sick but not sick enough to miss out. Josh Johnson next in line. Then Koch.
  7. Huntley is sick. Non Covid related, Duverney is doubtfull Josh Johnson is next in line at QB. Steveler (back up QB) is on covid list. Clark is activated. Barstool CCU (@BarstoolCCU) Unfortunate News out of the North Pole this morning… Santa Clause has placed Dasher, Blitzen, Comet and Prancer on Reserve/COVID 19 List. Per: @AdamSchefter The Clauses’ have activated Lazer, Blazer, Leaper, and Mark from the Practice Squad. Christmas is in Jeopardy. We have to save Christmas!!!
  8. Lamar did not practice today. I see no way that they start him. With Huntley and Josh Johnson as the only healthy QB's....I don't know. My gut says let Kamar heal and shake the rust off next week if he can. “Ravens injury report for Thursday arrow_downLamar Jackson and Pro Bowl returner Devin Duvernay remain sidelined arrow_upRT Patrick Mekari upgraded to full practice arrow_upCB Tavon Young returns to practice maskS Brandon Stephens dealing with illness”
  9. “The Ravens placed TE Josh Oliver on reserve/COVID-19 list, increasing the total number to 12 players. Here are the others: S Geno Stone DT Justin Madubuike LB C.Board LB K.Welch OLB Justin Houston OLB Pernell McPhee WR Sammy Watkins S C.Clark CB J.Smith CB Chris Westry C T.Colon”
  10. Off topic yet something good to know... Most pro bowl selections by team since 2016 Ravens - 39 Steelers - 37 Saints - 36 Chiefs - 36 Cowboys - 31 Vikings - 30 Seahawks - 29 Eagles - 27 Chargers - 27 Packers - 23 Rams - 23 Titans - 21 Falcons - 21 Colts - 21 Bills - 20 Raiders - 20 Patriots - 19 Bears - 18
  11. Getting real now..... “For the Ravens, Sunday's game at the Bengals is a must-win, in terms of capturing the AFC North. With a victory, the Ravens have a 67% chance of winning the AFC North, according to ESPN's Football Power Index. A loss drops their chances of winning the AFC North to 8.5%.”
  12. Jamison Hensley on Twitter “Lamar Jackson was one of five Ravens players who did not practice Wednesday. The others: WR Devin Duvernay (ankle) OT Tyre Phillips (knee) G Ben Powers (toe) CB Tavon Young (concussion)”
  13. I have never seen and never imagined something like this. Only 13 players available for defense. “Ravens currently have 24 defensive players on the 53-man roster football13 practiced Wednesday football2 did not practice football9 are on reserve/COVID-19 list Baltimore (8-6) plays at Cincinnati (8-6) with first place on the line Sunday.”
  14. Absolutely not. You have been very very bad.

    Buy Or Sell

I'm buying too. Yet I'm not giving up after the Ravens lost by a point to the Packers. That tells me a lot about this team.
  16. Now, now, now! Remember your Mindfulness practice! Jamison Hensley on Twitter “Ravens currently have 7 active players on the reserve/COVDI-19 list: OLB Justin Houston OLB Pernell McPhee WR Sammy Watkins S Chuck Clark CB Jimmy Smith CB Chris Westry C Trystan Colon”
  17. I like that!

    Buy Or Sell

BUY OR SELL: The AFC North will not be sending 2 teams to the playoffs. Sundays Ravens/Bengals game is for all the marbles.
  19. Ravens win percentage 50.9. With the Browns loos, Sundays Ravens/Bengals game will be for sole possession of 1st place in the AFC North. AFC North standings through Wk 15 after Browns loss to Raiders tonight 1. Bengals (8-6): vs. Ravens, vs. KC, at Browns 2. Ravens (8-6): at Bengals; vs. Rams, vs. Pitt 3. Steelers (7-6-1): at KC, vs. Browns, at Ravens 4. Browns (7-7): at GB, at Pitt, vs. Bengals At the moment: "Let me help you with that." At the moment it is unknown if Lamar Jackson will start due to a sprained ankle. If he practices today that will be a good sign. After Huntley's excellent game against the Packers we shouldn't be worried if Lamar can't start. We know the Ravens injury situation and Covid could complicate that this week. Yes, it's not good. But what is good is every HC's nightmare: the bigmouth player who awakens the sleeping giant in an opponent. Ravens fans, let's have a moment of silence for back up Eli Apples tweet on Lamar; Next week Lamar gone be generous. My guess is that Lamar woke up this morning with a fully healed ankle. 51 other guys woke up pissed off. "I can now see a Ravens win." Team Stats Points Per Game 23.9 26.4 Points Allowed Per Game 22.5 21.6 Total Yards 403.6 373.2 Yards Passing 258.9 264.2 Yards Rushing 144.7 109.0 Yards Allowed 365.4 364.4 Pass Yards Allowed 279.1 268.5 Rush Yards Allowed 86.2 95.9 "I think I can put it back in place."
