That's logical. this is not a logical season in the AFC. Everybody is eating everybody else, and the Ravens came within 1 point of defeating Rodgers and the Packers. Anything can and will happen this year.

Nail Biting Update Monday 12/20.... Cincinnati Bengals What to know: The Bengals are back to first place in the AFC North with their win over the Broncos and the Ravens' loss -- holding the head-to-head tiebreaker over Baltimore. Cincinnati is No. 4 in the AFC and hosts Baltimore next week. Remaining schedule: vs. Ravens, vs. Chiefs, at Browns Baltimore Ravens What to know: The Ravens' loss to the Packers knocks them out of the AFC North lead -- and the playoffs altogether. Baltimore is tied with Indianapolis, Los Angeles, and Buffalo for the final playoff spot in the AFC -- but are No. 8 in the conference. The Ravens lose the tiebreaker over the Colts and Chargers based on win percentage in conference games and lose the tiebreaker to the Bills based on Buffalo having a better record in common games. Remaining schedule: at Bengals, vs. Rams, vs. Steelers Cleveland Browns What to know: The Browns will look to join the 8-6 teams battling for a playoff spot -- and a share of the AFC North lead -- with a win over the Raiders on Monday night. Remaining schedule: vs. Raiders, at Packers, at Steelers, vs. Bengals Pittsburgh Steelers What to know: The Steelers are a half-game out of the final playoff spot, yet are last in the AFC North and 10th in the conference. Sunday's win over the Titans keeps the Steelers alive in the playoff hunt -- even as Pittsburgh faces three over-.500 teams to close the year. Remaining schedule: at Chiefs, vs. Browns, at Ravens NFL 2021 playoff picture, standings: Bengals jump back into first in AFC North, Ravens fall out of playoffs - CBSSports.com

Buy Or Sell: This 2021 Ravens squad must be aggressive to win.
-
On the 2 point conversion: It has only worked twice in 7 attempts for the Ravens. I understand there was plenty of time on the clock for Rodgers to drive and put his team in FG position for the Win. We see that happen often. Happened to the Bengals last week after their premature celebration. Yet the Ravens had offensive momentum and the Packers D was on their heels. 50/50 chance to win the coin toss in OT and then a good chance to drive the field and score the game winning TD.

A few #Ravens jersey numbers you might need to be familiar with today. QB Josh Johnson is 15 CB Robert Jackson is 17 S Tony Jefferson is 31 CB Mazzi Wilkins is 39 C Adam Redmond is 53 T Jaryd Jones-Smith is 61 T David Sharpe is 62
-
Unlike the Browns, the Ravens will show up on time and as scheduled. Now only Averett, slot cornerback Tavon Young, special teams contributor Kevon Seymour, and practice squad call-ups Robert Jackson and Mazzi Wilkins are available at the position.

Watkins and Smith on Covid list................ Jamison Hensley on Twitter “Ravens CB Jimmy Smith tested positive for COVID-19 and is out for today's game against the Packers, a source confirms. Baltimore is now down to four cornerbacks against Aaron Rodgers: Anthony Averett Tavon Young Kevon Seymour Robert Jackson Jamison Hensley on Twitter “This is how short-handed the Ravens are today against the Packers 17 players on IR (including 7 starters) 5 players on the COVID list (including 3 starters) 13 players on the injury report (with Lamar Jackson unlikely to play)”
-
Clark is out. That's 7 DB's. Jeff Zrebiec (@jeffzrebiec) Chuck Clark and Trystan Colon did not clear Covid-19 protocol so they will not play Sunday. “Ravens have elevated 2 OL: OT Jaryd Jones-Smith and C Adam Redmond and also DBs Robert Jackson and Tony Jefferson. Ravens have also placed Chris Westry on Reserve/Covid-19 list, leaving them without another CB who has started this year.” “This is how Ravens secondary looks for tomorrow. CBs- Anthony Averett, Jimmy Smith, Tavon Young, Kevon Seymour and Robert Jackson. S- Brandon Stephens, Geno Stone, Tony Jefferson, Anthony Levine Sr.” Twitter•Today at 4:43 PM
-
Jamison Hensley on Twitter “The Ravens have expressed a high level of belief in Tyler Huntley -- not only to win games but to change a perception that Baltimore is more than Lamar Jackson. “I think [Huntley] comes in and proves to us that we’re not just a one-man show.”
-
3 games are rescheduled. Jamison Hensley on Twitter “Ravens injury report vs. Packers Lamar Jackson is questionable after not practicing all week LG Ben Powers is out (Ben Cleveland in line to start) DE Calais Campbell is doubtful WR Marquise Brown returned to practice and was limited”
-
Noooo! The Browns go to Green Bay Saturday, Christmas day. I think their game for Saturday (tomorrow) is being rescheduled due to Covid. They will have a short week and be greeted by our good friend Aaron Rodgers. Clack could play if he tests negative tomorrow,
-
Not 1 of the defensive players was available for practice today. Jamison Hensley (@jamisonhensley) If Chuck Clark (reserve/COVID list) is out for Sunday, this is the projected Ravens secondary against Aaron Rodgers and the Packers: CB: Anthony Averett (19 career starts) CB: Chris Westry (2 starts) S: Brandon Stephens (7 starts) S: Geno Stone (0 starts) Could be a career day for Rodgers.
-
Jeff Zrebiec (@jeffzrebiec) These are the 7 Ravens offensive linemen who were practicing today: Tackles: David Sharpe (PS), Jaryd-Jones Smith (PS), Ja'Wuan James (designated to return from NFI list) Center: Bradley Bozeman, Adam Redmond (PS) Guards: Kevin Zeitler, Ben Cleveland
-
Sell. Most of the players are vaxed so when they test positive, they only need 2 days of back-to-back negative tests to get back on the field. It's not like last year where you are out for a week to 10 days. A team can have 10 players out today and 7 of them suited-up Sunday. TJ Watt is an example.

Jamison Hensley Jamison Hensley on Twitter “Lamar Jackson (ankle) was one of 10 Ravens players not practicing Wednesday: FB Patrick Ricard (knee) DE Calais Campbell (thigh) LT Alejandro Villanueva LG Ben Powers OL Tyre Phillips CB Chris Westry CB Tavon Young WR T.Wallace (concussion) OLB Justin Houston* *-Usual rest day”

Really good article by Jonas Shafer on what Huntley brings to the offense. If you read between the lines, you can see where Jackson could improve if he followed Huntleys lead... Ravens film study: With QB Lamar Jackson ailing, here’s how Tyler Huntley can help the offense - Baltimore Sun Here's a tease...

LOL! The last thing we want to see is Roman in a Steelers/Browns/Bengals uniform. And nobody complained when the Ravens were down 22-3 about his play calling on that 17-0 run. He's integrating a killer passing game much slower than he wanted too given a struggling run game, QB and O line. Designing the plays and coaching the players on proper execution is part of it. Setting up the plays and the proper time to call them is another that he's learning. He'll know the right buttons to push. It takes time and I see glimpses of a harvest. He has influenced and changed NFL offenses. One more off season and his players back healthy is all he needs to shock the NFL World.

I said the Ravens need to score 30+ points and they will. The Packers O line is suspect, and the Ravens D has been holding teams to 20 or fewer points. The Bank and the 12th man will rain a wall of noise and pain on them... and...we have Tucker for the final play of the game!

41.5%-win percentage. 5-point underdogs at home. The Ravens are 1-2 vs the Packers under Harbaugh and 2-4 all time. The Ravens have won 13 straight games against the NFC. 69 different players have played in a Ravens game this season. The Ravens record is 25 in 2020. Harbaugh needs 2 wins to reach 150. Andrews needs 74 yards to be the 1st Ravens TE to reach 1,000 yards in a season. Freeman needs 1 TD to reach 50 career TD's and Lamar needs one more game of 100 yards rushing to a new NFL record of 100 yard games by a QB. Currently he's tied with Vick at 10. Lamar needs 33 yards passing to reach 10,000 yards and 3,500 yards rushing and become the fastest QB in the history of the NFL to reach that mark. I have no problem with Huntley starting Sunday if Lamar isn't healthy. Just remember: It's crunch time. Every game now is critical including this Sunday so if a 100% Lamar can play then start him...and I believe the Baltimore Ravens and their 12th man will get the job done. The logical experts say that I am wrong. However... The Packers stats are middle of the pack like the Ravens. In turnovers the Packers are by far superior to the Ravens, and they commit way fewer penalties. There is nothing defensively that the Ravens can do that Rodgers hasn't seen. Only pressures will affect him And... changing the numbers on the jerseys of the players in the secondary might confuse him for a moment. ...Yea... yea... yea. I know it. Arron Rodgers and Freeman are going to feast on this secondary. So, the only thing that can be done for a Ravens victory (whichi'mcertainwillhappendidisaythisbefore?) is for the Ravens to score 30+ points, tackle and limit the turnovers and penalties. The Ravens have won 13 straight games against the NFC. 14 won't be easy yet I'm sure it will happen. Team Stats Points Per Game 25.2 23.4 Points Allowed Per Game 20.9 21.8 Total Yards 375.1 407.2 Yards Passing 267.5 262.3 Yards Rushing 107.6 144.8 Yards Allowed 341.8 365.5 Pass Yards Allowed 236.7 280.0 Rush Yards Allowed 105.2 85.5

I think Roman's offense is on the cusp of developing a potent passing attack that will merge with his fabulous running game. Hewitt, Ingram and Tee Martin are developing and brainstorming it now with GRO. We are seeing the plays and player development. Adapting and integrating it is not easy. There are so many parts and pieces. He's trying to make it happen even though he's handicapped by his current roster of available players. Remember: Lamar was limited in training camp and preseason so he missed valuable time as the main cog that makes the Wheel turn. Gus, Stanley, JK, Boyle's absence are killers for this season. So are Powers and Villenueva at LT and RT. Clevland has been injured all season. It's a mistake to blame Roman for the deficiencies of this 2021 offense. Creating and developing something like this does not happen overnight. All that's needed is a real NFL O line and for Lamar to get better. Both can be accomplished by the start of next season. It would be a big mistake to let go of him now. It would be like firing Edison right before he invents the light bulb.

Reason to Hope from Hensley...."According to ESPN’s Football Power Index, the Ravens have a 72% chance of reaching the playoffs if Jackson misses one game because of an ankle injury. Baltimore’s postseason chances are 58% if Jackson is sidelined the rest of the season. How is this possible for a depleted roster like Baltimore’s? The combination of promising backup quarterback Tyler Huntley, a stingy defense, the most accurate kicker in NFL history and the mediocrity of the AFC North all make the Ravens the favorite to win their third division title in four seasons."

I want to buy but this team won't die!

Jamison Hensley on Twitter “A look at the final four games for the AFC North teams: Ravens (8-5): vs. GB, at CIN, vs. LAR, vs. PIT Browns (7-6): vs. LV; at GB, at PIT, vs. CIN Bengals (7-6): at DEN, vs. BAL, vs. KC, at CLE Steelers (6-6-1): vs. TEN, at KC, vs. CLE, at BAL Who's winning this division?”

Most of your post I agree with 100%. It looked like Huntley has chemistry with Bateman OR he came in cold and looked for anybody who was open. It seems Lamar ignores those guys looking for the big play. On Roman....I'm getting more open minded on the question of has he outlived his usefulness here? The final play of the game was a real head scratcher. I have to look at the coaches film to see if Huntley had other options or why did the receiver run short of the sticks??? Huntley was under pressure immediately. Nobody will give Roman credit for calling the plays in the 17 point comeback with a raw QB2 no Ricard or Boyle and Villenalldayva and Powers.
