Question for the board: How do the Refs give this game to the Stealers? They've done it all year.
-
He had his girlfriend with him 8483. Maybe her mother let her go with the stipulation that they have to be home by dark. I don't know...it's all Wacco to me.
-
"Yea...why not change the language up a bit to "If it is the Will of Allah" or "First I must consult The Learning Triangle".
-
What's amazing is that Joe flew down to Tampa for the award, won it, and went home right away. He didn't stay to party....hang out and look famous...all the glitter had no power over him.

Panthers revoke PSL owners that didnt buy playoff tickets

...and this after their QB turns it over 6 times...at HOME! They should send the fans a refund. -
The Ravens almost made it this year with the second most players on IR. They played what??...19 straight games? That's a deep, bad ass team. If they stay healthy, look the F out! They figure the offense is going to take a giant step next year...I figue that too.

Mike wants to run the ball. His loss, our gain. It means a lot for Joe to have the same coaches for his first two years. He'll be a monster in 2009.
-
Speaking of ExtremeRavens dee....we should mentor Joe....counsel him....really turn him into Joe Cool. We could make it a board project...a challenge. For example: If Ray leaves this year then we could teach Joe "Ray's dance". Joe could come out of the tunnel, beating his chest, screaming crazy...he would instantly be the new leader. Steve Bichiotti would thank us...maybe even send us a case of beer.

I keep getting this message when I try to add my signature. Is it because you are afraid of what I might put in there? I promise I won't pull a 'crav'.

This sucks!

Who gets the Folgers Rookie of the Year award?

One more thing. He's not a real GM. From ProFootballWeekly... Bad move George...bad move.
-
LOL! George can't tell them the truth...

"Won't it be GREAT! to see the 9-7 Cards beat the Stealers!" We can take road trips to the Stealers boards and post "BWAHAAAHAAAAAHAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!" Or "BWAHAhaaaheeROTFLMAOHAheeeHHAaaaaaaaaa!!!!!" "But It's Not Going To Happen!" Give me the Stealers with the points....midnight has struck for Cinderella. Sorry...AFC North vs the JV. Now...we can still call them Stealers because they got "lucky" to pair with a weak 9-7 Cardinal squad. Why I'd almost call it a "Fluke" Trophy.

Yeager...on the cover two...we know the Ravens defense set the points surrendered record with it and won a Super Bowl. They executed it to perfection. What pisses me off is that the cover two has been around a long time and the media...the brainless media...had to name it the Tampa Two after they won a Super Bowl...like they invented it or something.

Right on cleetz...Jason has more close friends here. That line really bonded this year. They became the hardest working unit on the team. Marks talks too much without thinking....you got it right...she blurted out.....can't wait for her to give her daily saying that "the NFL is a b-u-s-i-n-e-s-s. It's all about the B-e-n-j-a-m-i-n-s" Like we don't know Anita...BTW...nice job talking about Ray Lewis's pending Free Agency around week 6 and just about every day of every week thereafter. You got the morons calling in and talking about it every day and we had little time for that weeks up coming game and matchups. With the Willis MaGahee stuff, ....good job keeping the season in the background. Now is the time to talk about that dammitt!!...The Off Season....We've got months with NO GAMES!!! Oh!...You're talked out on that now?.... right? Did I get off tangent? Anybody can figure out that Brown will get solid attention and offers on the market. He's a key member of the Ravens O line who had a very solid season. Jason will only get better. I love the guys character and attitude. He wants to stay a Raven but Ozzie won't go crazy. He'll do what he did with Pashos...right player/right price...and if Brown gets offered ridiculous money like Pashos, than Oz will let him go. I also think Ozzie will give a handsome counter offer because they are building the line of the future for their QB of the future. I think the odds are good that Brown stays because the money will be good. Pashos simply wasn't worth it...hell...he was in shock when he heard the offer...reports are the offer made him sick because he had to leave the Ravens for the money...or the wife would you know what.

I feel more optimistic about Mattison after reading these player quotes...

Naaaaaaw...it was just geezing...a senior moment.

I sound like I'm not openminded on this hire, but I am. I'm just getting all my negative thoughts out first. Defense is the only reason the Baltimore Ravens can feel they have a godd chance to win in every game. It is what keeps this team competative. There are tons of offenses in the NFL with so many different personel matchups. He's only seen a certain percentage of them. He could be in over his head. Look how Rex kept making moves in the Titans playoff game as player after player went down. He kept the dam from busting with duct tape. Can Greg do that? I have this image of skins coach Joe Bugle wandering the sidelines looking for his headset and waking up to find the second quarter was over. Age. This is a huge generation gap with the players. This 2008 D had Rex's personality. He wants to slaughter everybody. What is Greg's? Publicly, he came off as a 2 on an agressive/confident scale of 10. I don't know Greg...I just don't see a Marvin Lewis/Rex Ryan/Mike Nolan/ Jack Del Rio" in him. Man...I really hope my first impressions are wrong. I admire the loyaly of promoting from within, but there are a huge amount of defensive coaches out there looking for work. A ton with 11 HC changes this year. That would have been my pool rather than the "college" ranks.

Vince will do a great job. He has a ton of experience and knowledge.

The Sun reports that Rosburg is now assistant head coach and Fangio new LBs coach. Somebodies got it wrong. http://www.baltimoresun.com/sports/footbal...0,7828736.story I heard the Mattison interview...he seems like a great guy but talks real slow and appeared 'timid'. He comes off nothing like Rex. He does believe in attacking and putting players in the best position to make plays. He will study last years defense and keep what worked. At 60 and with only 1 year coaching in the NFL this is a very risky move. This "ain't Michigan". He's got to move and think at lightning speed game day to keep this defensive legacy going. I have my doubts. I hope Harbaugh 's lucky horseshoe doesn't tarnish with this move. I will try to keep up my trust and faith in John...he's made all the right moves so far.

I'm going to watch Super Bowl XXXV sometime today...I have 8 hours of it taped including pre game pep rallies in Baltimore, the victory parade downtown ect... You're teasing us crav!
-
Back to Flacco....he wasn't stupid or blind in the AFC Championship game. The Stealers had a smart game plan...take out Mason and Joe has no place to throw. The Titans did that and they have a very good secondary (Mason did get one big play 42 yrd TD). The passing offense couldn't produce in both games. Anyway...time was running out...all day Joe had nowhere to throw,... finally he had to toss it up and pray it got in to a receiver where it had little chance of doing so....hence the INT's. You see this all the times at the end of games. Decent QB's, coming from behind, time running out, forcing the ball and getting intercepted.

The Ravens will not let Suggs go. They will franchise him or lock him up for 4-6 years. Suggs has made public his wish for all 3 LB's to stay together. That's nice, but there is a bigger picture. 3 players will be the Ravens top priority in signing...Ray, Suggs, and Brown. They will eat up the most CAP space that is available. Then you have Leonard, Stover, Bart ect....just a lot of guys to sign not to mention draft picks. So...logically Bart could be the odd man out if his value on the market is high because the Ravens have other capable LB's under contract at CAP friendly levels. As far as the Arizona ties as a lure for Suggs...it's the desert...the NFL desert. Lot's of NFL players make that their home but won't play there. Biddwell is a joke for an owner, the team got lucky this year with a weak division and a hot Kurt Warner. That bubble will burst quickly and the players know it. Ask Dwayne Starks.

I think Herm won only 6 games in the last two years...time to go. He escaped the axe in New York but it finally caught up with him. He's not a good HC...great guy, but he'll make a better co-ordinator.
