OH YEA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm actually crying because I know how important this change is for my children, your children and life on this planet. It's not over, there are many mountains to climb and a long way to go yet, at least we have a shot. So happy.
  6. Nice article from our good friend Mike Preston! He's got me going down Memory Lane. There are way too many great memories. We went a very long 12 years without football in Baltimore. An eternity for many of us who loved the Baltimore Colts. Winning Super Bowls is a rare achievement for most franchises during the average fans life span and to see the Ravens win 2 in 25 years is so special. I've lived to see the 2 NFL championships and the Super Bowl championship of the Baltimore Colts. And through it all we have seen a very long list of incredible players and fabulous games. Ravens/Baltimore Colts fans are so fortunate.
  7. "It won't let me! The Federal Government ordered Dee to reduce my powers. Said I'm dangerous!" I can hide your duplicate topic. I'll try that. Here's what tyslvester posted....

  9. Apologies. I've been side tracked by a foolish and childish distraction called a Presidential Election, when what clearly matters, is Ravens football. Ravens match up predictor has the Ravens with a 59.8% win prediction. I'm not feeling it. The Indy D has the #1 rated defense in yards per game and a very low 19.4 points per game surrendered. Their front 7 is very hard to run against and the Ravens are missing Stanley for the season. "I got this." The Indy D is very stingy against the pass too and Lamar is struggling. Add to this that Humphrey will be out and 7 defensive starters will not practice this week and the Ravens could take a tumble. Team Stats Points Per Game 29.0 28.3 Points Allowed Per Game 18.9 19.4 Total Yards 374.0 369.1 Yards Passing 195.3 268.1 Yards Rushing 178.7 101.0 Yards Allowed 349.0 310.9 Pass Yards Allowed 248.7 231.0 Rush Yards Allowed 100.3 79.9 It's an even match up in Points scored and points surrendered. Colts-Ravens injury report >> Colts players not participating Wednesday due to injury: WR Ashton Dulin (knee), WR T.Y. Hilton (groin); limited participation: TE Mo Alie-Cox (knee), C Ryan Kelly (knee), RB Jonathan Taylor (ankle), RB Jordan Wilkins (groin). >> Ravens players not participating Wednesday due to injury: RB Mark Ingram (ankle); limited participation: WR Chris Moore (thigh). CB Marlon Humphrey is out after testing positive for COVID-19. Players in close contact with him -- LB Matthew Judon, LB Patrick Queen, S DeShon Elliott, LB L.J. Fort, LB Malik Harrison, CB Terrell Bonds and LB Tyus Bowser -- must test negative all week to be able to play Sunday. If there is a silver lining, it's the fact that Indy's wins have come against teams with a combined 7 wins. Rivers can be rattled and throw a bunch of INT's...Wink knows this. He also knows they struggle running the football. The Colts average 3.5 yards per carry, the lowest average in the NFL..... And...Wink was not distracted this week by an election. QB comparison: Rivers is 161-of-231 (69.7%) for 1,860 yards, 10 touchdowns and 6 interceptions. He has been sacked 7 times (fewest in the NFL for starters). His quarterback rating is 97.3 Lamar Jackson is 115-of-190 (60.5%) for 1,343 yards, 12 TDs and 4 INTs. He has been sacked 19 times. His QB rating is 94.3. He also leads the Ravens with 66 carries for 411 yards and 2 TDs. LOOK OUT LAMAR!! The Colts have allowed 1,495 passing yards, the second-fewest in the NFL. ... Their 11 INTs are tied for the most with the Buccaneers. They have returned a league-leading 3 INTs for TDs. ... Indy has allowed opposing QBs a 76.2 rating, making it the most effective pass defense in the NFL. We'll see if this stat holds Sunday: The Colts have allowed 3.4 yards per carry, 2nd-lowest average allowed in the league. Some decent Ravens stats: Ravens have the fewest passing yards in the NFL...(..well not this one, ignore that!).. ..See Good>>>>>>... Baltimore averages 5.5 yards per carry, the best average in the NFL. It has an NFL-best 15 carries of 20+ yards. ... 62.4% of Ravens receptions earn a 1st down, the best percentage in the league. Needs to change stat: Colts-Ravens series The Colts own a 12-4 edge in the series, including playoffs. The Ravens won the most recent matchup, 23-16 late in the 2017 season. A decent portion of this post is plagiarized material. I learned this handy trick in high school. It's a great time saver. You can find out how to do this on page 587 in your ER Posters Manuel. Yea...looking better. My main concern all along was to see this nation begin to seriously address climate change. Joe will take the first steps, but how much progress can be made with a Republican congress? WOW....I am officially burned out on all of this. Politics has never been my thing. I'm in that "Meet the new boss, same as the old boss." mindset. The difference is the new boss is light years more decent as a man and leader than the old. I will have to go into political detox soon. Ravens football just may be the cure.

There's no winner. We all lose. Protests are popping up all over the place, some violent, and people are upset and disillusioned on both sides. Lot's of shock, hate and division. How do you bring this kind of America together? Right now it looks like it will take a miracle for Biden to win. I do believe the vote counting is fair and precise. Whoever wins....well, that's democracy no matter how disappointed I may be with my fellow American citizens if the winner is Trump. I did not think the vast majority would be gullible enough to believe his lies. It seems they believed them. That is shocking to me. I believe they are good people and have been misled.

My TV will now stay on 24/7 until a winner is declared. I'm retired so I can do what I want. In the past, I'd vote, go to work and not stay up watching the TV because I had to work the next day. I realized that the only thing I had control over was casting my vote. The outcome was beyond my control and no amount of mental/emotional involvement on my part was going to change a thing. Now....I've been closely following this and learning a lot that I never had time to learn. How the whole election and voting system works. Just like following football, I like the strategies, following the polls, the various paths to victory for each candidate...and these 2 do not like each other! Side note: While Joe Biden is not my ideal candidate, at 77 years old, running this hard, standing toe to toe, trading blows and taking on a big bully....I find this inspiring. Joe's one tough fighter. He seems to be a decent man too.
  14. You can call this an excuse for Lamar yet when I look around the league at the new, younger generation of QB's ...Lock, Darnold, Jones, Haskins, Mayfield, Murray, Jackson, Minshew....they all are struggling a little bit and performing inconsistently. I think not having OTA's, access to their facility's and a real training camp has stunted their development some. In Lamar's case, he really needed heavy coaching on his mechanics and quality time throwing to his receivers...time to develop the whole route tree. I think this is why Proche isn't playing on offense yet and Duverney is just getting started. That's 2 big playmakers with awesome speed and good hands....and the Ravens having been able to open that present due to the virus. This is one reason/excuse why the Ravens O has not been able to get better to counter opposing defenses. The passing game...the passing game...it makes me sick seeing teams load the box and Lamar not being able to make them pay. It's a dream scenario. Even Dilfer was able to make 2-3 big plays every game because defenses crowded the box to try and stop Jamal.
  15. Good post tsylvester... All of it. Very informative. I've been thinking about that play. I was thinking, "One day Lamar makes this throw and we're all....
  16. "What do you think Mike?" "I'm glad you asked...
  17. "Can Ravens Defeat Elite Teams with Lamar?" Add to this "Can Ravens win playoff games and a Super Bowl with Lamar?" "Will he ever develop as a passer and correctly read defenses?" Any other questions or doubts about him. OK....now, let's destroy each other........ Seriously, we're fans and all opinions matter. I'm interested in yours. For me? I've got his back. "Big Truss." Love what he brings. "Thanks max"

See! We can be responsible once in awhile. Everybody gets a free album for this.... On the serious side. It feels good to exercise this important duty. Next up: Election night. For me it will be like watching the football scores on NFL Red Zone. I'll be nervous as shit hoping my team wins. I must love being nervous...every Sunday in the Fall.

This is the most important election in my life time. I truly believe that my children's future, your children's future and the future of all life on this planet is at stake. As I stated in another post, "now we are facing an Extinction Event, with a tipping point not that far off. If we don't act now, what we and the world are currently experiencing is simply a small taste of what's to come. Go past that tipping point and we become the Titanic. End Game." This is why it's so critical to vote now. Trump will do nothing towards this and we lose 4 more years of precious time. That would mean 8 total years wasted with huge consequences that can't be reversed." I think that I've dropped a few hints about who I'm voting for. Everyone please vote. Well...... everyone except those who are hood winked and under the spell of a megalomaniac pathological liar, whose Confidence Game is to have you believe that what you see and are experiencing isn't real.....It's not your fault. Huge populations of good people have been mesmerized before....think 1930's Germany. Better to stay home and not vote if you believe Donald. You'll be serving your fellow man. Hoping to beat the long lines, I got up this morning planning to be my early voting site in Arbutus by 6am. Polls open at 7. I was up so early that I got there sound 5:30 and was the second person in line. I left the Poll at 7:20 and the line outside was almost a quarter mile long....maybe 800 people! From what I hear, the best times to beat the lines are between 10-2. Or you can go early like I did. And if you can't, then I hope that you are willing, like I was, to stand in line for 4 hours if that's what it takes.
