Don't forget we had 3 of the greatest QBs in football: UNITAS, BERT JONES AND JOE FLACCO. Yea, you're right about Clowns fans but I try to put myself in their place. Their coach that won nothing there is fired and becomes a HOF coach in NE. The team which won nothing since 1964 leaves and wins the SB right off the bat after Modell let Ozzie make all the decisions. I tell them that we didn't want to steal the Browns. I was embarrassed but the NFL made us do it. Had TAGS done the right thing and give expansion teams to St Louis and Bmore, the Clowns would still be in Leaveland and the Rams wouls still be in LA and that's why TAGs hasn't been elected into the HOF. Even with being out of football for 12 years we have has many NFL championships as Pissburgh going back to pre-SB days which they don't count since they don't have any were the laughing stock in sports. Baltimore won NFL championships in 58 59 68 - That was before the merger and counts as an NFL championship. 70 2000 2012

We are truly fortunate to be living in the Baltimore area in the era we have and are living in with all the great Baltimore Colts games and championships including the greatest game ever played. No other city can say that. They went to two SBs too winning one before they were dismantled and shipped out. Then the Ravens come here and become one of the most successful teams in sports always winning and often getting into the POs as a dominant team for over a decade and they have 2 SB trophies, AFC-N trophies and AFC trophies. I really feel for the Clowns fans who have never been to the SB and teams like Cinci, Buffalo and Minn that never won one. They were all there but its even been decades since while Ravens were the champs just 24 months ago. And don't forget the Os in baseball with all their series and trophies before Petey dismantled them but now he has rebuilt them into a PO team just missing the series by 4 games last year. How's that for drinking cool aid. ;)

Again, it's true.Ravens are poised for the SB and one of the only teams.Like I said, we would have won it all last year if not for the injuries and shouldn't have even been in the POs with that secondary and they shut Marsha down for a half. Now they have Jimmy and Webbie back. They only need 1 or 2 players to win it all this year barring injuries again. Oz will take the BAA as usual but has the luxary to take Maxx Williams @26 because we need a TE or Gurley or Mel Gordon at RB which we will need next year. He can groom the RB behind Forsett and Tally and even put him in at spots. If it's Gurley they can just rehab him while he's learning the playbook and system. Next year he'll be ready. The team is this close to another SB. Nothing cool aide about it.

Adam Schein is telling the truth. Ozzie has all those comp picks and he's poised for SB 50. He'll have Jimmy and Webbie back in the secondary. We would have won it all in 2014 if not for the injuries to the secondary and it still took a trick play and the bending of the rules to beat it. A guy whom Ozzie plucked off the streets 3 weeks before was kicking their ass - twice- with a 2 TD lead before NE turned those tricks. He loses Ellerbe and Art Jones and replaces them with Brandon Williams and MOsley. He loses Ngata and has Jernigan who filled in greatly for him during the season and had a good POs. He loses Boldin but signs Steve Smith Sr who had 1,000 yrds. That wasn't purple cool aid. It was the truth by a guy who isn't even a Ravens fan but appreciates Ozzies skills as the best GM in the game.

UM, that's hardly the same title. Mine was taken from a line in the link and more concise.

A lot of love here for Oz. Adam and Pat are the only two reasons I miss Siri but Oz does pretty well in March too. He just signed an experienced backup QB who knows the system and last year he signed Steve Smith, Forsett and Daniels plus Doooom and Mason in other years. Now where's those turkeys who want the Ravens to join a scouting combine. Balto and NE do well w/o em. http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap3000000483184/article/ravens-in-super-bowl-50-do-your-draft-thing-ozzie-newsome

WOW - I didn't know. Maybe he's right-lol. What round will he go in. Will Ravens be interested in 2d or 3rd round. Torrey was a Terp too drafted in the 2d round.
-
Says he wants to stay home and play for Ravens and he's the best receiver in the draft. Un huh. http://www.baltimoreravens.com/

Bisciotti confirmed the trade: Baltimore Ravens @Ravens 42m42 minutes ago Bisciotti confirms that the Ravens received a fourth-round pick from Denver in exchange for Gradkowski and a fifth-round pick. That said, I guess Denver wants Elway to get his knee messed up like Joes unless Kubes saw something in Gino. Anyway, good riddence to him.

Ravens only 2 players away from another Super Bowl

I thought Ngata might want a shot at another ring but money is more important but at his level he's already a millionaire many times over. -
We're screwed no matter who the backup is if Joe goes down for a while. Most teams are.
-
He has a ton of interceptions including the one he threw vs us in OT that went for the winning score - 36 INTs to be exact. Jets were also interested in him but we use Kube's system and terminology so he'll fit in. http://www.baltimoreravens.com/

Ravens only 2 players away from another Super Bowl

Ravens don't believe in windows. They won big in 2014 missing the SB by a game on a trick play and the bending of the rule book. They're still only 2 players away from the SB and will get at least 1 in the draft. -
Landry invented that Dallas stunt on the line. There was nothing illegal or tricky about it because they did it every time for years. It was dropped because the team was considered finesse and they wanted to be more physical and smash mouth on the line, especially on running plays and it didn't fool any one after a while anyway. Landry also invented the 4-3 which was designed to stop Jim Brown by putting an extra man on the line. He also invented the flex defense. NOthing tricky about it. Tom Matte beat it by 30 points in the playoff bowl in Miami as the instant QB when Unitas and his backup both went down for the year. Shula laughed all the way home that Matte didn't even know what a flex defense was. Here, we're talking about the bending of the rules which was eventually called illegal and changed. Nobody cared about Dallas' line stunt, same as on defense when the players run stunts and flea flickers which all teams use on offense and the post play where the TE runs to the post and the guy covering has to look for the goal post so he doesn't crush his head running into it. Now some tactics like Ordell Brasse's slap to the head and the fore arm smash to the throat have been banned. NE used the flea flicker too in the same game and nobody complained about that except the fans on the bad coaching HARBs did once again in NE and not preparing his guys. That's not the bending ofthe rules, just different and legal plays. Not only did NE bend the rules but they used a quick snap count so the defense while in a confused state couldn't figure it out on time. Somebody here was the long snapper in high school? Maese of the Ravens was the first long snapper drafted in the pro game, In high school we just called it snapping on punts, which I did. Not the easiest thing bending over and looking under your ass and getting it back to the punter with a guy breathing down your throat in front of you. Ravens won a SB putting a guy in front of the snapper. Remember Del Misso's 3 missed FGs that won it for us. That was banned too. You can't put a man over the center any more on punts. Ravens laughed on TV when Keith Mills discussed the rule change saying we won a SB doing that. Joe Maese en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Joe_Maese Wikipedia He was the first pure long snapper ever drafted and the only long snapper drafted that ... Following his professional football career, Joe was employed as a firefighter in ...

They did it when they were getting the asses kicked by a CB that wasn't even playing football 3 weeks before. They were losing by 2 TDs - twice - and the deception contributed to first downs on the TD drive. Like Webbie said, we must have been doing something right for them to use trickery like that.
-
Even Bellicheat said this about the rule: "It would affect a lot of other plays, the spread punt formation and stuff like that. Whatever the rule is, it is." Before the owners meetings Fisher said it would get out of hands if left alone.

He also can't play special teams which you must under HARBs. I agree with the 3 yr rule. It wouldn't be the first time for a LB. Remember Kindle? LOL -
OK, Thanks guys but you don't have to worry. He won't be there.
-
Tim said on the other thread he didn't like him either but I don't get it. He's a top 10 pick on most mocks. He'll never fall to Ravens. Ozzie sure likes him if you guys don't but why?
-
Ravens brought Gregory in for visit. See thread of visitors to OM. He probably won't drop to Ravens.
-
Including LaeL Collins, a good OT. The line had injuries last year and he's one of the best. It would be a luxary pick with needs at corner and WR but Ozzie doesn't go by needs. Also Randy Gregory, DE of Nebraska. Ravens like him so with Ngata gone, it would be just like Ozzie to draft another pass rusher like when he fooled everyone last year. Finally, a WR to be interviewed but he's too small to repalce Torrey Smith at WR but he is a break away threat in certain situations to to mention when he's returning the ball. He'd be a great return guy. Ravens are interested in all these guys. http://ebonybird.com/2015/03/23/nebraska-defensive-end-randy-gregory-visiting-baltimore-ravens/

Ravens only 2 players away from another Super Bowl

A lot of guys want Maxx Williams as your TE guy. He's dropping to bottom of first or down to middle 2d depending on who you read. Oz could trade down and get him and pick up extra body. -

Hey Smurf: Here's you're return guy.Ravens are bringing him in to interview. He's also a WR but too small to replace Torrey as #2 guy. DeAndre Carter is not a Torrey Smith replacement by any means, however. He’s just simply too small at 5’8″ and 186 pounds, but he does possess the game breaking talent to be a solid kick returner and situational threat on offense. Carter had a very productive college career, racking up 207 receptions for 2760 yards receiving and 35 touchdowns across 41 games. -

HARBs will speak to the press at the owners meeting on Tues and list these needs for the Ravens. From their site. Tuesday: Ravens coach John Harbaugh will sit down with reporters for an hour, and he'll update where the team stands in free agency. The Ravens still have needs at wide receiver, tight end, cornerback and backup quarterback.
