Tornado700 Posted July 19, 2013 Posted July 19, 2013 Miami apparently will not offer a contract. The Ravens have the cap room.I think Leach comes back. He's a great team player who plays like a Raven. Quote
Robjr83 Posted July 19, 2013 Posted July 19, 2013 I'm kind of getting the Ed Reed feeling. The FO doesn't want him back, but maybe a token offer to make it look like they tried. Quote
cravnravn Posted July 19, 2013 Posted July 19, 2013 The longer he is unsigned the cheaper he becomes, I'm hoping we resign him Sunday afternoon, he definitely plays like a raven Quote
oldno82 Posted July 19, 2013 Posted July 19, 2013 I wouldn't want him for more than a $1 million/year for 2 years. He isn't going to be on the field that much with Pierce and Juschzyhlrrtmt playing. Quote
papasmurfbell Posted July 19, 2013 Posted July 19, 2013 I don't think they need him now. He wasn't needed that much last yr and I am guessing that he will be used less this yr. Quote
vmax Posted July 19, 2013 Posted July 19, 2013 I loved having Leach on the team but he's not a necessity. He's 32. I think that tells the story.Maybe for a mil a year like oldno82 says. The offense could use 1 more nasty, hardnosed hitter. I bet he wishes that he took the Ravens offer. I'm sure it was a lot higher than he's being offered now. I hear it was for $2 mil+. He'll be lucky to see $1 mil now...maybe vet min. Teams just don't use fullbacks.Previously the Ravens signed him in August, I think, and maybe he'll wait for another "August deal" He sure could clear out a running lane and quiet the linebackers... Supposedly that offer is still on the table. Report: Ravens offer to Vonta Leach remains available Quote
cravnravn Posted July 20, 2013 Posted July 20, 2013 If that same offer is still on the table, Leach will be a Raven.. Nothing wrong with "Juice" earning his stripes on special Teams this year Quote
