Tornado700 Posted August 20, 2013 Posted August 20, 2013 Which one will be the most productive this year? Who will get the most throws? I believe it will be Stokely, especially on 3rd downs. Both were great pick ups. Your thoughts? Quote
Oldschool739 Posted August 20, 2013 Posted August 20, 2013 Which one will be the most productive this year? Who will get the most throws? I believe it will be Stokely, especially on 3rd downs. Both were great pick ups. Your thoughts?I think it's 6 of one and half a dozen of the other T....They both have been good at 3rd down conversions but Clark has been more valuable in the red zone I think....Don't have any stats, just goin on recollection.....I'm not overwhelmed with either but I do think they have a certain amount of value to us, since our wr's haven't really showed up yet and Shank has been terrible at TE.....Ed is back this week too, so between him and Clark, that position should look much better....WR looks like Smith, Mallette, Jones.. Gooooo Ravens.....REPEAT !!!! Quote
oldno82 Posted August 20, 2013 Posted August 20, 2013 Maybe we'll know more after this Thursday's game. It would be nice to see them get open and catch a pass or two. I'm inclined to think they still have something left in the tank but there's no data to go on. Quote
vmax Posted August 20, 2013 Posted August 20, 2013 My feeling is Clark. The Ravens are thin at TE so he should see more PT. Quote
vmax Posted August 20, 2013 Posted August 20, 2013 Preston likes both of them.... There is no certainty at this point, but the Ravens might have salvaged their 2013 season with the signing of receiver Brandon Stokley, left, and tight end Dallas Clark, right. Fans haven't gotten a real chance to see them yet, but they have clearly made a difference in training camp.Clark works the middle of the field extremely well, and Stokley finds holes in defenses. It's fun watching Stokley running patterns because he has a way of leaning into a defender and then pushing off without using his hands. He could never do that when he started his NFL career here in Baltimore. The Ravens appear to have found some bargains in the trash heap, and that's what they were hoping for. Ravens quarterback Joe Flacco seemed comfortable with both right away.Read more: http://www.baltimoresun.com/sports/ravens/ravens-insider/bal-mike-prestons-ravens-observations-from-aug-20-2013-pictures,0,7217926.photogallery#ixzz2cYT9hKuC Quote
cravnravn Posted August 21, 2013 Posted August 21, 2013 Neither, fingers crossed that Dickson steps and becomes the go to guy Quote
tgann68 Posted August 21, 2013 Posted August 21, 2013 My fear with wr's and TE's is not will they be productive but when Joe Flacco hits them in tr hands or chest with the ball WILL they hold onto it. Lee Evans and TJ Housh taught me to care about that. So my answer is both will be productive b they can both catch the football and rarely drop one. If your worried about then getting separation bc they are slow u don't have to look any further then how great Joe made Mason look and he wasn't lined up with the speed of Torrey Smith or Hacoby Jones opposite him. They will do great IMO. Quote
varaven45 Posted August 21, 2013 Posted August 21, 2013 I like these acquisitions. They bring experience, success and leadership to the offense. Plus, they add a couple "safety blankets" to Joe's receiving corps.Make no mistake, they don't replace Bolden and Pitta but they help fill a certain void created by their departure/loss. Good move Ozzie Quote

Both these new guys have a knack for getting open in the field and both have great hands. Again, our 3rd down guy will be Stokely. Quote
