Robjr83
Sorry for the rant ahead..... I wont go into spoilers but in general this season was crap. Rick's still proving he's an idiot who survives based on plot armor/ex machina moments. One small scene completely gives away the ''twist''. You can basically cut this season down to maybe a 3 hour miniseries to sum up 16 episodes. Best parts of the season are Eugene and Negans back and forth, and Trevor making Gregory squirm. All the interesting sub characters are gone leaving bland throwaways. Carol and Morgan become militant because the plot needs a season finale fight. The roles are flipped The Saviors are far more interesting than Ricks group. You use to want to root for the group when characters like Hershel, Tyreese,Bob, Dale and Merle were involved. Now you just want The Savoirs to off them because of the stupid decisions they make.
deeshopper
Just watched the first episode. It was totally blah, except for Lauren Cohan's performance. She was amazing. Otherwise, it certainly doesn't make me want to watch any further. Yikes. Sorry, Rob: Didn't read your post 'cause I think it contains spoilers. lol. GrubberRaven
Spoilers... Yeah Rob, there were a handful of good episodes and it usually involved the same people...anything with Negan, except he needs to drop the damn swaying. Daryl and Dwight's solo episodes. Eugene's episodes eventhough I want to clobber him. The only good female is neutered (carol) and the garbage pale kids need to go, stat. Sorry for the rant ahead..... deeshopper
Alright. I've watched the first seven episodes. This Negan character is a joke.
GrubberRaven
Why do you say that?
deeshopper
I guess it's just because he seems to be a creepy bastard for the sake of being a creepy bastard. And Papa Winchester isn't convincing me that well. I just laugh every time there is a Negan scene. Even when he gutted Spencer. lol.
GrubberRaven
That's the point though. Despite his leaning/physicality. It's pretty dead on.
deeshopper
So he's comic relief?
GrubberRaven
He's pretty friggen hysterical in the comics
deeshopper
I'll have to take your word for it. I'm almost done the season. I can't imagine watching this week after week, as it's quite boring. I've been listening to it while I work. lol.
GrubberRaven
It is...This season could have easily been 8 episodes. Easily. If All Out War is not 8 episodes, then the next 8 are the time jump, I'm going to have to really consider finding a new series. Atleast Saul is coming back. Spen
Were there any other episodes where characters listened to "easy Street" over and over then said their name? Lol, last episode I watched. Two episodes of him were enough for me. Way too over the top. Full disclosure: hated the comic character too.

If All Out War is not 8 episodes, then the next 8 are the time jump, I'm going to have to really consider finding a new series. Atleast Saul is coming back. Yeah. All the drama with The Hilltop should have been one episode tops. The Kingdom pieces should have been one (maybe two, since it was newly introduced). Also, no one says a word about that dude (I forget his name), who just disappeared after Tara fell off the bridge? So much for family. No one asked about him and Tara never mentioned him beside that one time at Oceanside. Were there any other episodes where characters listened to "easy Street" over and over then said their name? Lol, last episode I watched. Two episodes of him were enough for me. Way too over the top. Full disclosure: hated the comic character too. Easy Street? Doesn't ring a bell, but it seems sweet and quite a treat. The finale was just OK. Rick is still so stupid.

The finale was just OK. Rick is still so stupid.Heath? Yeah that was weird she never mentioned him again. If 24 fails, he'll be back. Funny that comic Heath was with Denise, while TV Denise was with Tara... I like Negan, especially after reading Here's Negan. Yeah, I HATE that Glenn is dead because of him, but he's got the only personality. Easy Street showed up again when Eugene was taken captive and he turned on his radio and it played. He liked it. Is Rick dumb or the writing?
RavenMad
I just don't know anymore with this series. I started reading the comics after the 1st season of the show and really the show isn't doing the comics justice at all. The last episode was ok, but really we should have had a whole season of episodes like it. It's just too damn slow to get to where it needs to be. Every episode should be ending on a cliffhanger with the amount of stuff going on but I just feel meh at the end of each episode. Now put Negan and Eugene in a room for an hour and I would watch but all other character interaction and development is just so poorly written. deeshopper
Speaking of Eugene, what's his deal anyway? Has he really defected?
GrubberRaven
He's afraid of death...he goes with what keeps him safe...
Robjr83
i dont blame Eugene for making that choice. Look at your options....struggle daily to survive and end up giving 1/2 your take to the savoirs or be Negans "super smarty pants'' and go make bullets/play atari.....I know which one I'm taking. Robjr83
Now put Negan and Eugene in a room for an hour and I would watch but all other character interaction and development is just so poorly written. Yeah give me an hour of Eugene bullshitting his way out of a situation or Trevor making Gregory squirm over the rest of the boring survivors. The show was about the characters now its the gimmicks. To me the jump the shark moment was when Daryl/Carol rode the ambulance over the overpass, and the walker tornado. Fanboys will say if you hate the show stop watching it, I watch it because these just a small hope it'll catch that old magic it had. Negans introduction gave me that feeling again then I watch the finale and feel like a chump because absolutely nothing changed from the episode after Glen got his brains bashed in. Ricks groups fighting Negans group for revenge that's it.
deeshopper
What about Negan as a flight attendant? Would you watch that? lol.
