papasmurfbell Posted November 27, 2013 Posted November 27, 2013 http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2013/11/27/justin-tucker-is-the-afc-special-teams-player-of-the-week-and-month/ Ravens kicker Justin Tucker provided the lion’s share of his team’s scoring in last Sunday’s 19-3 victory over the Jets and his four field goals and an extra point were enough to make him the AFC special teams player of the week.It also capped a very successful month for the Ravens placekicker. Tucker made every kick he tried in November, nailing nine field goals and six extra points as the Ravens went 2-2 to keep their playoff hopes from being extinguished. The month went well enough that Tucker was also the special teamer of the week a couple of weeks ago and that he was also named the special teams player of the month on Wednesday. Tucker, like Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger, won the monthly honor even though he still has one more game to play this month.Tucker has now made 22 straight field goals and one more will give him the second-longest streak in Ravens history behind Matt Stover. Stover made 36 straight field goals to set the record, so Tucker may have to wait for 2014 to make a run at first place unless the Ravens offense completely loses its ability to score touchdowns. thundercleetz Posted November 29, 2013 Posted November 29, 2013 After last night, lets just give Tucker another special teams player of the week right now. Quote
Money Posted November 29, 2013 Posted November 29, 2013 If you remember, he predicted he wouldn't miss a kick this year and then went on to miss two against Denver. He hasn't missed since. Quote
papasmurfbell Posted November 29, 2013 Author Posted November 29, 2013 He has plenty of time to go for the perfect season. He just should not talk about it before doing it. Quote
