You should know the rules. The declaration for teams not the Ravens, it works. Cursed upon the Ravens, it's well, a curse.

Josh Boyce likely to miss Sunday’s game

Last Sunday, the Patriots had rookie wide receiver Josh Boyce in the lineup while Kenbrell Thompkins and Aaron Dobson were both inactive with injuries.

It’s looking like the opposite will be true for the Patriots this weekend. Jeff Howe of the Boston Herald reports that Thompkins and Dobson are both likely to play against the Ravens on Sunday. Thompkins has missed two games with a hip injury while Dobson has been out for three weeks because of a foot issue.

Boyce, however, was out for the third straight day because of an ankle injury. While we won’t find out his official designation for Sunday until later on Friday, it is a real long shot that Boyce will be ready to go for the Baltimore game after spending the entire week on the sideline.

Left tackle Nate Solder practiced again on Friday, but still needs to pass one more concussion test to get cleared to play against the Ravens. Solder didn’t get that clearance until Sunday morning after a previous concussion, so his status could be a true game-time decision again this week.

This guy says we have the best home field in the NFL

Did you expect the Ravens to have the second-best home-field advantage in all of football? Me neither. Since 2002, the Ravens have been significantly better when they're in the Inner Harbor than they have been on their travels outside of Maryland. I know what you're about to say. Yes, the Ravens just won a Super Bowl while winning two road games. This study doesn't include playoff games in an attempt to keep strength of schedule relatively consistent from team to team. And it's not like the Ravens are a bad road team, as they have the ninth-best average point differential for an NFL team on the road. They're just much better at home.

Ravens facing another potential weather delay

The 2013 calendar season has featured three separate delays for the Ravens. From Super Bowl XLVII, when Commissioner Roger Goodell may or may not have kicked the plug out of the wall in the Superdome, to the first game of the 2013 regular season, which featured a lightning delay in Denver, to a November storm delay of nearly two hours in Chicago.

Another delay could be coming on Sunday when the Patriots visit Baltimore, via Jamison Hensley of ESPN.com. Potentially severe thunderstorms could strike during the game.

“Does that mean lightning? So, that could be a delay, right?,” coach John Harbaugh said after Friday, via Hensley. “I wouldn’t be surprised if that happens.”

Given everything the team has experienced this year, it wouldn’t be a surprise. It would be fitting.
