deeshopper Posted December 30, 2013 Posted December 30, 2013 ...was win. Instead, the offense did everything they could to ensure a loss. For shame. Quote
GrubberRaven Posted December 30, 2013 Posted December 30, 2013 This is not the same team as last year. They would not have made it deep, and frankly...Joe needs to heal. I hope there's some serious retooling done with the Offensive coaching, but considering how long it took to get Cam out of here, I won't hold my breath. Quote
cravnravn Posted December 30, 2013 Posted December 30, 2013 This is a bad team, total revamping is needed tomorrow, coaching, front line, rb's, wr's Defense starting with the safeties, Elam stinks...DB's have stunk the past 3 games... Quote
Spen Posted December 30, 2013 Posted December 30, 2013 Where do you start on offense? Has any part of the offense been good? I don't think so.Coaching? Looked to be bad.Line? AwfulRunning game? AwfulReceivers? Maybe OKQB? Bad. I know there are a lot of factors involved, but even thinking of them I think Joe had a bad year. Actually with this bad of an offense I am surprised we were in the hunt for the playoffs as late as we were. Quote

Actually with this bad of an offense I am surprised we were in the hunt for the playoffs as late as we were.Agreed. We lost about 10 starters from SB team. 10 starters! Yeah, we were damn lucky to have won 8 games. The Lions game and Hit on Flacco was the dagger. Flacco wasn't the same afterwards. There are a lot of fixes - OL, running game, passing game, secondary- before this team becomes relevant . Fortunately, our Division and Conference is mediocre and a 8-8 and 9-7 record will keep you in the hunt every year. In the meantime, Ozzie and Harbs have their work cut our for them. Plus, Ozzie hasn't had a decent draft in years. It's time to reverse that trend in a HUGE way. Quote
OutsideRzAcE Posted December 30, 2013 Posted December 30, 2013 Flacco was bad this year, there is no doubt about it. The knee only played a small part IMO. You can use the line as an excuse for the first half, but in the 2nd half of the season they improved enough to the point where Flacco had time to make plays. 22 INT's...not much else you have to say. tgann68 Posted December 31, 2013 Posted December 31, 2013 Flacco was sacked "48" times... 48 f*ing times.... what does that tell you? Tells me our OL is shit which impacted our running and passing game(s) huge. Can anyone remember a time during this whole season that Flacco dropped back to pass and wasn't hurried, hit, sacked, or flushed out?? A combination of Flacco sacked and hit plus no running game plus wr's that get ZERO separation for throws is why this team is home. I was at the game sunday and can tell you this... Dalton had ALLLLLL F'ing day to throw and when he did throw he 1 - 2 wrs to throw too that had total separation from our db's...huge separation and all day and Dalton threw 4 interceptions. Now imagine for a second Flacco had all day and just ONE wr that had separation?? It was hard to watch and that OL was totally dominated by Cincinnati's DL which was using backups half the time. OL OL OL OL OL...get that taken care of and this current team wins 11 games next year. Quote
tgann68 Posted December 31, 2013 Posted December 31, 2013 @VaRaven... It's pretty easy to diagnose I think u will agree. the only other team worse then out OL was The Dolphins and they lost the whole left side of the OL in one week. This year was nerve racking...lol Quote

And fact is, Flacco plenty of times did not go to the open reciever. I saw it on plenty of replays, a guy is open or comes open late flacco is not pressured and the ball is already out of his hands. We are not going to be able to put all these pieces around joe with him taking so much of the cap space up, You can blame the o-line all you want, it doesn't change the fact that we have to much money invested in a player(Flacco) that requires everything around him to be perfect in order for him to succeed. I wonder just how Ray Rice and Bernard Pierce dropped to two of the WORST YPC backs in the league... I guess thats Flaccos fault as well... Is everybody wrong when they say our wr's get NO separation? So a combination of TERRIBLE OL,ZERO running game, and wr's that get ZERO separation is a losing combo...Ill give you Joe didnt always make the best reads but when you are USE to getting hit EVERY F*ing DOWN can u really blame him? I mean really??? Your bias is clear and narrative transparent.... YAWN. Quote

How many times did Jacoby or Torrey break open deep and Flacco over or underthrew them? Happened at least once a game Quote
