papasmurfbell
http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2014/02/13/josh-gordon-gets-name-and-number-tattooed-on-his-back/If Browns receiver Josh Gordon ever were to lose his helmet and shoulder pads during a game, we’d all still known who he is.Gordon has had his jersey number and name tattooed on his back, via Cleveland.com.Images of the elaborate, and apparently incomplete, artwork have appeared on Gordon’s Instagram page. He says that the process doesn’t hurt, and that it’s more like a “soothing massage.”Gordon, a second-round pick in the 2012 supplemental draft, exploded for 1,646 receiving yards in 2013, despite being suspended for the first two games of the season. With a full season — and consistently strong quarterback play — Gordon could become the best receiver in the league. He already may be.He also may be out of luck if he ends up with another team. The Bills (Jim Kelly), Dolphins (Bob Griese), Jets (Joe Namath), 49ers (John Brodie), and Seahawks (fans) have retired No. 12. Other teams like the Steelers (Terry Bradshaw) and Cowboys (Roger Staubach) don’t issue it. Others like the Patriots (Tom Brady) will either retire it or set it aside.Under his jersey, however, Gordon will always be No. 12. Unless he has the tattoo removed. Which also may feel like a soothing massage.
