Money Posted February 28, 2014 Posted February 28, 2014 Adam Schefter @AdamSchefter 54mSalary cap projected to rise to about $133 million this year, expected to break $140 million next year and $150 million by 2016, per source Does anyone remember the Chicken Little's on here talking about Flacco's contract? As I predicted when he signed the contract...Flacco won't even be among the top 10 highest paid QBs in two years.

Money Posted February 28, 2014 Author Posted February 28, 2014 Holy Shit!!!!! That's a nice jump in cap It's actually not too terribly far off from the Yankees payroll. Just think about that for second.
papasmurfbell Posted February 28, 2014 Posted February 28, 2014 That still doesn't make it a good contract. Agreed.
Money Posted February 28, 2014 Author Posted February 28, 2014 That still doesn't make it a good contract. It certainly wasn't a bad one.
oldno82 Posted February 28, 2014 Posted February 28, 2014 Wow! Those are big increases. Deserved by the players in my opinion. The NFL is making money hand over fist.
ForceEight Posted March 1, 2014 Posted March 1, 2014 Don't take the projections as set in stone...there are plenty of influences that will affect them each year, which is why they aren't announced until last minute (and sometimes seem to fluctuate so much). The cap is also a major bargaining chip between the union and the league each year.
papasmurfbell Posted March 1, 2014 Posted March 1, 2014 When the get to 18 games they will really make some huge cash.
