oldno82 Posted June 11, 2014 Posted June 11, 2014 Monroe was not at practice this last OTA session giving Hurst a shot with the ones: http://www.baltimoreravens.com/news/article-1/Late-For-Work-611-Legend-Brett-Favre-Feels-Joe-Flaccos-Pain/bac2ec4f-773e-4a3f-8f37-296242e6150a With Monroe gone, Bo Smolka says James Hurst was a stand-out player in practice yesterday as he got lots of time with the first-team offense. “Remember, Hurst is an undrafted rookie out of North Carolina, but it seems he has moved rapidly up the depth chart. Some teams were scared off by Hurst's leg injury -- he broke his leg in North Carolina's bowl game -- but he looks like he could be the team's next undrafted gem.” [CSN Baltimore] 1 Quote
colincac Posted June 12, 2014 Posted June 12, 2014 Way too early for this IMO. I'll see him in a preseason game before any judgement. Quote
tsylvester Posted June 12, 2014 Posted June 12, 2014 If he can stay healthy, he will be a great tackle for years. Smart, athletic, good feet & hands, a bit of a mean streak as well.... Quote
vmax Posted June 12, 2014 Posted June 12, 2014 (edited) This is going to be one mean, deep and nasty bunch of MOFo's come opening day. In other news.... In new Offensive Coordinator Gary Kubiak’s offense, Juszczyk will be a Swiss Army knife. He’ll line up all over the field from out wide, to on the end of the line and in the backfield. He’ll catch passes and lead block too. After catching zero passes as a rookie last season, Juszczyk could have a big season in 2014.“Coach Kubiak has said in our meetings that he could see me catching 40 or 50 balls this year, which would be a great start,” Juszczyk said. “I wouldn’t mind that one bit. ”http://www.baltimoreravens.com/news/article-1/Fullback-Kyle-Juszczyk-Could-Catch-40-50-Passes/fc219bc4-7e6b-44df-b688-85c9c163809d Edited June 12, 2014 by vmax Quote
oldno82 Posted June 12, 2014 Author Posted June 12, 2014 Still too early to tell but there's a lot of encouraging signs lately. Quote
