vmax Posted July 29, 2014 Posted July 29, 2014 A normal game for these Arena CB's is to get lit up for 8 TD's.... The Baltimore Ravens have gone to the Arena League to add more depth to their secondary. The Ravens signed defensive back Marrio Norman and waived wide receiver Gerrard Sheppard.Norman, who turns 28 next month, played the past two seasons for the Cleveland Gladiators and Georgia Force. At 6-foot-1, 205 pounds, Norman played both safety and cornerback in college while at Coastal Carolina. He had tried out for the Ravens earlier this year but wasn't signed. The Ravens have grown thin at cornerback since Aaron Ross suffered a season-ending Achilles injury and Lardarius Webb has missed more time than expected with a back injury.Sheppard, who played at nearby Towson in college, spent last season on the Ravens' practice squad.http://espn.go.com/blog/baltimore-ravens/post/_/id/11593/ravens-sign-defensive-back-marrio-norman Quote
ravinmaniac52 Posted July 29, 2014 Posted July 29, 2014 I know a QB that came out of the Arena that made out pretty good. Norman won't be around long. I hear that Champ Bailey maybe handing in his book. Quote
Tornado700 Posted July 30, 2014 Posted July 30, 2014 I'm getting nervous about this corner situation. Quote
ForceEight Posted July 30, 2014 Posted July 30, 2014 Yeah, going from being nervous about safeties to being nervous about corners doesn't feel very good. There's nothing more important than whatever muscle issue is bothering Webb healing up, though. Quote
papasmurfbell Posted July 30, 2014 Posted July 30, 2014 Ed will never be a Raven again. Also they need CB's. Quote
vmax Posted July 30, 2014 Author Posted July 30, 2014 Might it be Champ Bailey time? Hell no. Remember how bad Torry schooled him 2 years ago? He can't keep up with anybody. Quote
thundercleetz Posted July 31, 2014 Posted July 31, 2014 I'm sure Frank Walker is out there ready to play. Quote
Robjr83 Posted July 31, 2014 Posted July 31, 2014 I'm sure Frank Walker is out there ready to play.Or Alvin Porter Quote
oldno82 Posted July 31, 2014 Posted July 31, 2014 I'm starting to think trade, maybe. Not for a star, we'd have to give up too much, but a guy who's at least competent. 1 Quote
