cravnravn Posted August 5, 2014 Posted August 5, 2014 Little tune-up against the Nats, power bats came out late. Now onward to Toronto for 3..It would be nice to put them 8 back in the loss column. Pitching has been fantastic these last 3 weeks, thats going to be a nice combination of Andy Miller & Matusz.. And please tell me we are not serious about JJ returning, theres an article on orioles.com saying we worked JJ out.. http://mlb.mlb.com/news/article.jsp?ymd=20140804&content_id=87963388¬ebook_id=87963544&vkey=notebook_bal&c_id=bal Quote
varaven45 Posted August 5, 2014 Posted August 5, 2014 Crav, Lets first see how we do against the Jays. You know there are 50 games left. Quote
cravnravn Posted August 5, 2014 Author Posted August 5, 2014 Crav, Lets first see how we do against the Jays. You know there are 50 games left. I know that, any chance you get a chance to nail your chasers you got to take advantage of it Quote
cravnravn Posted August 5, 2014 Author Posted August 5, 2014 Just win the Series, first Toronto, then the Cards then Yankmees Quote
varaven45 Posted August 5, 2014 Posted August 5, 2014 Yep; a nice gauntlet of challengers awaits the team ! Quote
cravnravn Posted August 6, 2014 Author Posted August 6, 2014 50 games left, a 5 game lead.. Can you feel it? Quote
varaven45 Posted August 6, 2014 Posted August 6, 2014 It's feeling good and reminds me of the football season, post Thanksgiving playoff run ! Quote
cravnravn Posted August 6, 2014 Author Posted August 6, 2014 Look what this pitching staff has done, since July 20th whaen we lost 10-2 in Oakland, they have been on FIRE not giving up more then 3 a game, outstanding job!! Quote
varaven45 Posted August 6, 2014 Posted August 6, 2014 Yep, and if the hitting keeps coming around (like the last 2 nights), then good things can happen Quote
varaven45 Posted August 7, 2014 Posted August 7, 2014 But not tonight. 1 run, 1 hit ? That's it. Must have left the keg of Red Bull in the hotel lobby. Amazing how a team can looked locked in one night; clueless, lifeless the next against a Roger Clemens impersonator. Let's hope it's game on tomorrow night ! Quote
varaven45 Posted August 7, 2014 Posted August 7, 2014 Need to nail rubber game tonight and get the heck back to the US Quote
ForceEight Posted August 7, 2014 Posted August 7, 2014 Chen was due for an average night. He's been pitching well (not great), and has been getting plenty of support. Bats need to start showing up more consistently though. Quote
vmax Posted August 7, 2014 Posted August 7, 2014 I hope this thread title isn't another cravn curse. Quote
dc. Posted August 7, 2014 Posted August 7, 2014 Everything crav says is a curse. Meanwhile, we can't hit no names. Hutchinson isn't quite a no name but had been horrible for the last month - 23 runs in 21 innings they said - so we were bound to flop. He's owned is a few times this season. Quote
thundercleetz Posted August 8, 2014 Posted August 8, 2014 Huge series win! The combination of Miller, O'Day and Britton is really something special. Quote
Spen Posted August 8, 2014 Posted August 8, 2014 I hope this thread title isn't another cravn curse. I'm not going to lie. That's the first thing I thought of. Huge series win! The combination of Miller, O'Day and Britton is really something special. It really was. They were not perfect but found a way to win 2 of 3 in a key series. Quote
cravnravn Posted August 8, 2014 Author Posted August 8, 2014 I hope this thread title isn't another cravn curse.Never..This team is on a mission, win the series and everything falls into place.. Matt who? Quote
