varaven45 Posted August 9, 2014 Posted August 9, 2014 Gotta love tonight's offensive display- 12 runs !How did we get 12 ? Justin Tucker must have misseda couple PATs . Nice opener tonight. Facing Lackey tomorrow, we may need a few of those runs tomorrow.
cravnravn Posted August 9, 2014 Author Posted August 9, 2014 The same Lackey that pitched for a last place Bosox team??? Bawahahahhahaaa
varaven45 Posted August 9, 2014 Posted August 9, 2014 Crav, after putting up a 12 spot against a struggling Masterson,I expect Lackey to be very tough today and runs to come at a premium.Besides, our offense almost always lays an egg after an explosive outburst. We need this one as the starter tomorrow, Lance Lynn is probably their best SP (besides Wainwright) that we willface.
thundercleetz Posted August 9, 2014 Posted August 9, 2014 I hope we kill Lackey today. The guy is a major douche.
thundercleetz Posted August 9, 2014 Posted August 9, 2014 I bet Lackey complains about Cruz and steroids again. The bats are on fire! Caleb Joseph is making is forget about Matt Wieters real quick! Joseph had a great year in Bowie last year. He's always been regarded as a good hitting prospect. Looks like he's taking to hitting instruction well and elevating his game even more. The defense (50% of runners thrown out, low pitching ERA) has been a big surprise! Not the best start from Jiminez, but he still went six and got the quality start.
vmax Posted August 10, 2014 Posted August 10, 2014 Second best record in baseball.6 up on the Stankies and J's.
dc. Posted August 10, 2014 Posted August 10, 2014 Best record in MLB since end of May - when we were one game under. Haven't lost more than two in a row since then.
Spen Posted August 10, 2014 Posted August 10, 2014 They are on quite the roll. I wish the end of the season was closer. Don't want to give them a chance to cool off.
cravnravn Posted August 10, 2014 Author Posted August 10, 2014 There ya have it, another series win, and at the moment an increase in the division lead.. Too early for the magic number?
dc. Posted August 10, 2014 Posted August 10, 2014 Way too early for a magic number. The magic number would be the number of games left minus 6... So 40ish?
varaven45 Posted August 10, 2014 Posted August 10, 2014 The main thing right now is they keep their foot on the gas pedal and not worry about what any other team is doing. That's the main thing. Play Os baseball

cravnravn Posted August 10, 2014 Author Posted August 10, 2014 Way too early for a magic number. The magic number would be the number of games left minus 6... So 40ish?Come on'DC, I'm ready, confident, we will win the east
thundercleetz Posted August 10, 2014 Posted August 10, 2014 That was the worst umpired game all season.
dc. Posted August 10, 2014 Posted August 10, 2014 Come on'DC, I'm ready, confident, we will win the east I'm confident too... but your curse cost us a Sunday and a win.
Spen Posted August 11, 2014 Posted August 11, 2014 That was a really frustrating loss. Oh well, great series.
cravnravn Posted August 11, 2014 Author Posted August 11, 2014 dc, WE WON THE SERIES AND ADDED TO OUR LEAD, NO CURSE THERE
dc. Posted August 11, 2014 Posted August 11, 2014 And yet after back to back 10 run games... you made a statement and we sucked it up on Sunday. Don't reverse your causes and effects, Crav
varaven45 Posted August 11, 2014 Posted August 11, 2014 On to the Yanks and, as Joe Angel says, time to get back to the WIN column.
