I concur T. The MASN contract to the O's was part of the deal when the Expos moved next door. Angelos

should never have given that up and I don't think he will as long as he's alive.

Or as long as John Angelos is alive. He's more or less running the

O's now and is another good lawyer from the U of Baltimore. He

tours the country lobbying the MLB for a salary CAP like football has

so the small markets can compete.

But John will be a strong owner like his dad looking out for

the business. Maybe he'll spend a little more-lol.

But KC, one of the smallest markets, just won the World Series on

smarts and O's as a small market are the 7th richest team with its

cable market and Piss did OK.

How many of you have concast? I hear 1.75 from everyone's bill goes right into Peteys checking account.

I have direct TV and quite often during baseball season I have masn & concast free, not sure if direct TV deposits any money into his account.

I have COMCAST after dropping DirecTV which got very expensive.

I'm thinking of dropping all COMCASTs TV stations and keeping just

the wi fi for my ROKU box. I stream thousands of TV and radio stations

from all over the world, millions of movies. I never watch local TV any more

except when the Ravens are on.

I'd only pay about $30 pr mo with just COMCAST's wi fi which the ROKU

box has to have. I only pay for Netflix but would stream in HBO and

Showtime and FOX NEWS as the only channels I'll night.

All of that for a fraction of what I'm paying COMCAST.

CRAVN - You need DIRECTV for the SundayTicket don't

you to get the Ravens games? I heard that was about

$300 pr mo or so.

Now on ROKU you can't get the local channels but I don't watch

it anyway except for Ravens game but I watch them at the

local water hole with my pals. I just won't be able to tape the

game and break them down during the week.

ROKU is the wave of the future and already putting dents in cable

and sat/tv. There's also Apple-TV but you can't stream as many

channels into it and Amazon has Fire which is excellent but you

have to subscribe to it's premeir membership.

Just go to Wallmart and get Roku for $99. Don't get the little stick

for $50 because it's a lot slower getting everything on screen.

Yes I have had direct TV since 2000, legally since 2004 in 2000 we had a group that hacked their satellite signal :)

But yes I pay out of my ass for the Sunday ticket 275 to 300 a year, and just normal direct TV runs me 175 a month. When we lived up north even though it was smack on the md/PA line my zip was PA so our channels were out of York.

How are you getting ravens game thru roku

I can't get the Ravens games. I go to the

local water hole and watch with my friends but I can't

copy and break down the games but I'm only paying a fraction

of what I'm paying now.

There's a channel to stream into roku that allows you to

access all local channels but it doesn't work for me.

Someday it will. I did read there's a way to do it but you have

to be a real geek or specialist to do it.

Everyone I know has roku or Apple.

I listen to the O's through the mlb app...refuse to pay more on directv for sports

I actually really like baseball on the radio. I was so glad when they put the games on FM. I had an ancient AM radio I would take on walks and listen to the games and it was so staticky.

You should get Sirus-XM radio. It has all the games and the best

baseball talk you'll ever hear. Same with football. Their analysts

give you more details than any local shows.

You can use it in your ipod while walking.

I had it for the first 5 or 6 years when it was out but I didn't like paying

for about 100 channels I didn't use. It irked me when they said

listen to Ch. 155 or something. Youre paying for it. That's when I

stopped.

I made a killing on their stock. I was at the Ravens weekend in OC,MD

and a guy in Nest 1 was talking about Siri stock. You needed $2Gs

to invest and to just forget about. A lot of guys were signing up so
I did too.

Got in at $1 and it went all way up to $11 and than slipped to $9

and that's when I got out and I invested more than $2G. Then

it crashed all the way down to 10 cents.

I bought more then at $2Gs and it went up to $2 or so and I sold

it.

I miss the football talk and the poltical shows during the election

campagin.

Love listening to baseball on the radio, football not so much.

As far as going to the watering hole for ravens games, heck I'd spend way more then I spend on the NFL ticket on snacking and a few drinks. There is a local Nest down here Orlando Ravens Flock, but that's a far drive.

What station? Will 105.7 play them? I can only get that station online out here, but I don't think they broadcast that way.

FM games will blackout if you try and stream audio online. Sirius XM has all the games but they have a terrible lag to real time. MLB At Bat is the best bet to listen if you're away from your car or don't have a portable player with FM capabilities. MLB At Bat has slight lag to TV, but unless you're on Twitter refreshing every second you won't have anything spoiled for you.

Actually, I don't drink but always buy a meal. You don't want

me drinking. I've been banned from enough bars sober for fighting

mostly for throwing out Squeelers fans. I hate em. Don't mention my

name to the manager of Looneys. She'll get hysterical and then ban

you like she did me-lol but that was for personal reasons and she couldn't

stand to see me and I was sober.

Then there was the time some boys and me from Nest 1 were arrested for busting

up the Salty Dog in OC,MD. We all had to do community service.

Doug Phillips who started the Nests and was ahead of things used

club funds to bail us out of jail. Even the President of Nest 1 had

to do community service down there for getting a ticket for drinking

a beer on a side walk by the pool.

All the Nests were thrown out of the Seabony for throwing trash cans,

completely full, into the pool and one girl was swimming naked in the

pool.

We were thrown out of the Carousel when members refused to go

outside to smoke and the cops came and cleared everyone out during

a bull roast in their restaurant.

As Doug Phillips always says, we were pretty much thrown out of

every place we stayed.

Now they're more mellow and have stayed at the Spiniker the

last several years. They say those guys are old now and turn in

early around 10 pm. We partied all night.

Yeah, it sucks games are blacked out from station websites. I do not know whether the receivers are garbage anymore, or maybe just mine, but any radio I listen to AM on is full of static. With the exception of the car radio.

I have Sirius XM but cannot often bring myself to listen to sports talk radio.

Speaking of which, Vinny and Ron have to be the worst duo ever to be on the air...

Is this RSR? I thought I was on extreme Ravens -lol. They hate him over there as there's

a big battle between Vinny and Tony who changed his position after someone in the

office said he was wrong. I said it sounded like Tony was scared he was going to lose

his press pass to the castle.

That was when Mikie ran a big story about HARBs. Vinny is bad and often wrong but

Rob is OK. He was right on Elam since day 1.

I could never get any of those guys out here in the sticks but I listened to them

when I was driving thru the city a lot on weekends. Use to go to dances on fri

nights in the 80s and 90s but took a break outside and listened to Stan. He

was a cool guy.

We lived in the city when he started. He was a bar tender but family members urged

him to go on the radio he knew so much about sports so he did. He stood outside

WFBRs front door every night waiting for their GM to come thru for a job. After

seeing him a couple of times and auditioning Stan, Harry Shriver gave him a 5-min

radio gig which was expanded to 15- mins than an hour and the rest is history.

You can read him now on www.pressboxonline which he owns and he even brought back Phil

Jackman of the Sun to write.

Good old Stan.

Damn, Cravn we was neighbors. I lived in Forrest Hill off of Red Pump Rd near McDonalds.

I sold the house and live in the condos off Moors Mill Rd and Hickory. They have a bunch of

condos around there. I owned a condo in Daytona on the beach but never used it much except

for renting it out. Never paid a cent on the mortgage. I was gonna move down with my mom to

take care of her there but she didn't want to leave the family so I sold it.

I can get 105.7 fm up here on the radio because it was fm but none of the am stations. NObody

can get 1570 am past Towson. Now I get it on TV via the ROKU box. I get every station in

Bmore. Actually, every radio station in the world - almost.

I used to go in Looney's almost every day for lunch but's that's where I got into some trouble which is easy

to do there but at least they don't have Squeelers fans in there or not many. I was banned from

Half Pints for fighting with Squeelers fans. I'm starting to run out of places to go to in Bel Air.

There's still the Main Street Tower where I sing and some of Looney's young waitresses visit me to watch me sing Crazy Bitch and go nuts and the Lodge where I just came from after drinks with cronies all afternoon. The place looks like a real lodge with two fire places on each end. You feel like your in the Rocky Mountains.
