vmax Posted September 25, 2016 Posted September 25, 2016 Starting to look like the Ravens will be sitting alone at the top of the division in an hour or so. It all helps. It all counts. Quote
tsylvester Posted September 25, 2016 Posted September 25, 2016 Hey, 21 straight completions, even against the soft zone was outstanding by Joe & the receivers. It should have been 22 had Wallace hung onto that perfect pass... 4 drops today, one very bad pass, who was at fault on that is unknown, but I would guess Flacco was, given the coverage and the fact he was throwing to a tight end... I loved the games both lines played today, some stunts from the defensive line. Pulling gaurds in pass protection for the offense, worked most of the time, not always though. Jansen having to come in was scary. Not having a runningback qho can shake & bake nor break tackles is going to hurt this team. I thought West might be the one, but he is playing slow... On a great note, Bengals lost, Stselers are getting blown out, hope Philly can hold that lead... Quote
vmax Posted September 25, 2016 Posted September 25, 2016 34-3! The Ravens runners are too hesitant and slow. They need Dixon. Quote

It all counts.Ain't the beer cold. Is this really NFL football? 34-3 at this time Ravens still need some work. Funny how they are on top of the AFCN, 3-0 and they still need some work. I think they can get better Quote
vmax Posted September 25, 2016 Posted September 25, 2016 No doubt they can and will get better....as the Stealers and Bengals come back to earth.Yea....the team still has a lot of work to do and improvements to make. It's on the coaches to get these players to play as one on each unit. Quote
vmax Posted September 25, 2016 Posted September 25, 2016 HaHAAAAAAAAAAAA.With 13 minutes left...CBS just pulled the plug on the Stealer game and switched to the Colts. Quote

vmax Posted September 25, 2016 Posted September 25, 2016 Time to sober up........ Mike Preston, Ravens columnist: The Ravens have earned their unbeaten record as the result of an easy schedule. Buffalo, Cleveland and Jacksonville are poorly run and coached teams and the Ravens have had just enough to pull out some victories. I don't think they learned their lessons from last year, but are just playing some really bad football teams. But I do like the front seven and think its going to be a really good group. This defense is young and hungry. I am not sure about the back end yet, but have seen enough of the front seven to know this group has to carry the Ravens in 2016.Mark Selig, Ravens editor: The Ravens aren't especially talented, so they need to win games with the details. Sunday at Jacksonville, they failed many of the details but overcame a mistake-prone game to beat another bad team. The 3-0 record is a scheduling mirage; it still counts all the same.Ron Fritz, sports editor: Any win on the road is huge. But barely beating Cleveland and Jacksonville does not instill much confidence that this is a playoff team. But 3-0 is 3-0...http://www.carrollcountytimes.com/bal-instant-analysis-sun-staff-reacts-to-ravens-jaguars-20160925-story.html Quote
ravinmaniac52 Posted September 25, 2016 Posted September 25, 2016 Buffalo and Jacksonville on their way to playoff this season ask the media. Mikie's fails is the big picture he never could get that. Bills run the score up on the Cards another team going to the Super Bowl. Bills also did a number on the Jets even if getting beat.Media has been beating the Jags drum since last season on their way up and coming next years team. My Browns took Miami to OT, wasn't Miami going to be one of the teams fighting for the east? I knew after 3 we beat no one Quote

cravnravn Posted September 26, 2016 Author Posted September 26, 2016 can't wait the talking heads said we were the most overrated 2-0 team, and choked on the Stealers jock as the team to best.. Quote
thundercleetz Posted September 26, 2016 Posted September 26, 2016 Oakland will be a good test next week. Good thing it's a home game. Quote
Robjr83 Posted September 26, 2016 Posted September 26, 2016 I remember this time last year we were basically illiminated from the playoffs. I'll take an ugly win over a pretty loss. Quote
thundercleetz Posted September 26, 2016 Posted September 26, 2016 One other thought: I hate how we got so conservative in the forth quarter. Joe went into automatic check down mode. We had that beautiful drive with the near TD on the Wallace drop where it looked like we'd start shredding the Jags through the air. Playing for a 54 yard field goal at the end nearly gave me a heart attack. Love the confidence in Lucky Tucky but man that was ballsy. Would have loved to see us go for another 10-20 yards. Quote
varaven45 Posted September 26, 2016 Posted September 26, 2016 Yep Cleetz. We wont have the luxury going "conservative" against the Raiders. Plus, I think we will need to put together all 3 phases to beat Oakland. Quote
Robjr83 Posted September 26, 2016 Posted September 26, 2016 My guess at the end of the game with the crazy amount of turnovers Trestman went conservative and would rather risk it on Tucker then Joe. This team needs to find balance with a running game and I don't know how they're going to do it. The Oline has gotten smaller and is seeming to get manhandled. We got softer when we jettisoned Leach for Juice and lost our mauler in KO. You can tell with all these reverses with Wallace that they're struggling to make runs work. I guess Buck Allen is in the doghouse. Hopefully Dixon will be back soon and give the run game some swagger. Quote
cravnravn Posted September 26, 2016 Author Posted September 26, 2016 My only complaint, our dbs can't catch, Jimmy Smith had nothing but end zone in front of him when he jumped that out route. He has to make that play Quote
