varaven45 Posted December 6, 2016 Posted December 6, 2016 While the Red Sox scarp up Chris Sale and we are hustling to resign Mark Trumbo, why the heck aren't we signing a from line pitcher ?We should have signed Sale or a comparable SP. We doesnt this team ever acquire a front line pitcher ? Anytone have a clue ?
varaven45 Posted December 6, 2016 Author Posted December 6, 2016 We are going to need a bigger ship for the Jays, Sox and Yanks.
Spen Posted December 9, 2016 Posted December 9, 2016 We can't compete with the Red Sox payroll. Pitchers especially are going to have to be home grown or players taken chances on.

GrubberRaven Posted December 9, 2016 Posted December 9, 2016 Guys...Barring injury...Tillman/Gausman/Bundy...1,2,3
cravnravn Posted December 9, 2016 Posted December 9, 2016 Let Boston over pay for pitching, they play in a hitters ball park, and haven't replaced 38 hrs and 127 RBIs that retired on them
papasmurfbell Posted January 22, 2017 Posted January 22, 2017 I think it will hurt them in a couple of yrs.
Spen Posted January 22, 2017 Posted January 22, 2017 No one happy about Trumbo? It's a fantastic move. Short term, friendly salary. He seems like a good guy so hopefully he does well and is here the full three years, but if the team struggles it's a really movable contract. The front office hit a home run with this one. Pun intended.

papasmurfbell Posted January 22, 2017 Posted January 22, 2017 He is not resigning. They should trade him for a gigantic return. In 2019 they will lose him for nothing at all.

GrubberRaven Posted January 23, 2017 Posted January 23, 2017 If Trumbo turns into the crown jewel of this off season, I'll be disappointed. We still have no disciplined batters.
cravnravn Posted February 15, 2017 Posted February 15, 2017 Nice to hear the ball hitting the gloves down here, even though our local news spent the day with the Red Sux
