papasmurfbell
https://ebonybird.com/2018/06/29/baltimore-ravens-3-reservations-2018-season/ The idea that Flacco will have a bounce back season is a nice one, but is it something we can really expect? Is Flacco shining through more than a game here or there a reasonable expectation? Flacco’s circumstances have changed, but has he? Flacco has some bad habits that probably aren’t going to go away. Flacco is a beloved member of the Ravens lure, but in the back of our minds, the Lamar Jackson era can’t start soon enough. If Flacco has a great final stand, that’s great. If not, it’s going to be unbelievably frustrating and painful. There is certainly reason to doubt Flacco at this point. You could argue that what the Ravens really needed was change at the coaching ranks. John Harbaugh got the Ravens in a win and you’re in position. They lost and they did it in a disheartening fashion. This didn’t have any consequences so you have to wonder if the Ravens are doomed to repeat the same mistakes until they change their approach? Would a late season collapse shock anybody in the football world?Don Martindale is supposed to bring an aggressive defense with him. He was promoted from within, which leaves some skeptical on how much change the defense will really see. Marty Mornhinweg has better tools to work with. It’s actually hard to be so pessimistic when you look at the offseason the Ravens have had. Things should be better for the offense, but it remains to be seen if Mornhinweg is capable of dialing up the right stuff. When the season starts back up, a similar coaching staff could bring on familiar problems.
tsylvester
I stopped reading at; the Lamar Jackson era can't start soon enough. This hack site continues to show their lack of knowledge. Is Lamar gping to be a great qb? Who knows. Is he going to be a bust? Who knows. But the "author" was making a point that maybe Flacco is not on the brink, but has already gone over. So why bring up Lamar? This, even though for 2 seasons Flacco has delt with his own injuries. That despite a bad line, another over haul of the receiving core and what 5, 6 different offensive coordinators in his career he still lead this team to a Super Bowl Championship, was 1 perfectly thrown pass that was dropped away from a 2nd one. Oh, and he did post the 2nd best post season touchdown to pick ratio, ever! So is Flacco a bum? We don't know still. Is he the qb for the next five years? Guess what, we still don't know. Will this defense quit blowing leads? Will these receivers run proper routes? Will the coaches use the players in the best way possible? Those are legit questions at this time. Even mentioning Lamar right now is simply click bait, bush league crap.
papasmurfbell
What have I said about Jackson? I don't care about that part. It is the issues that have with Joe that are permanent. Joe is a bum.

Tornado700
I have no big expectations from Flacco. I just don't. And regardless, he is not going to be benched for Lamar Jackson. Not at 20 million a season.
papasmurfbell
No he won't. I fully expect him to fail again and to be cut after the season. I don't think Jackson will be successful as a QB in the NFL.
