“We’re in a good place,” Harbaugh said. “Not as good as we could be, but you can’t look back and lament that. You’ve got to move forward, and we’re happy to be at where we’re at. We’ve got to make the most of it. Like [outside linebacker] Terrell Suggs said in the locker room last night, and you do that by getting better every single day — all the things we always talk about — and going out there and playing good, winning football on Sunday. That’s all our focus needs to be. If we can stack a win on top of that win, then it really starts to mean something. But a huge challenge — whether you’re on the road or at home playing against the Saints. I’m glad we’re going to be at home. I’m excited that our fans get a chance to see us and get to be a part of it.”....http://www.baltimoresun.com/sports/ravens/bs-sp-ravens-looking-ahead-to-saints-20181015-story.html

Ravens fans are used to this team being hard to read. Inconsistent is something we all have been saying. "Can't handle Prosperity."

Well....after reading the above statement it looks like the Ravens have a huge opportunity right in front of them with an awesome Saints team coming to town. A Ravens win and you have to take them very seriously.

I think we share the same frustration with many fans around the league. Parity has made it so that no team can be dominant (outside of N.E.). Look at the Jags. Look at the Eagles, Packers, Falcons, Steelers, ....every team has weak spots....vulnerabilities, that get exploited over the course of a 16 game season.

A realistic expectation at this point of the season is that the Ravens are deep enough and balanced enough, in all 3 phases of the game, that they should stack enough wins,..... say 10 or 11,..... and that should get them to the playoffs.

What a test Sunday will be. Another reality check.

I think the Ravens are 4-1 against the Saints but that won't help them Sunday trying to get win #5. Yet...they know Brees a little bit. :gorave:

Brees hasn't thrown an interception this season and he has the highest QB rating. :scared:

The Saints offense is 19th in yards per game but they sit in a rock solid #1 spot for points scored....a whopping 36 point average per game.

The Saints defense is #28 in points surrendered. So there's a faint hope here.

Can the Ravens score more than the Saints?

To pull off a win, all 3 units will have to play great. This is the type of game where you need a clock eating, solid run game to keep Brees off the field. Lot's of long drives like last Sunday and great 3rd down conversion rates.

Tall order for sure Max. Btw - Saints are ranked 1 in rush defense. But the beauty of the NFL - anythings possible on Sunday. It looks to me like Joe will need to pass extremely well to open up the running game

It should be an extremely entertaining game . Lets see how this thing goes 👍

Yea...their rush D is good but maybe nobody is running because they have 36 points to catch up to.

The Saints pass D is bad but everybody is throwing their ass off trying to get 37 points.

Brees isn't the only player to worry about. Not so worried about Ingram but Kamarra....

Well, obviously last season is the blueprint/dream scenario for the Saints and for fantasy owners of both running backs.

They became the first duo in NFL history to both surpass 1,500 yards from scrimmage in the same backfield, while both scored at least 12 touchdowns and became the first pair of RBs to make the Pro Bowl together from the same team in 42 years....http://www.espn.com/blog/new-orleans-saints/post/_/id/30664/what-to-expect-from-alvin-kamara-mark-ingram-going-forward

I had to look real hard but I found somebody who is picking the Ravens to win Sunday. He could be very reliable because the way he expresses himself sounds like he has knOledge of The LearNing Triangle....of things They are not wanting you to know....

New Orleans (4-1) at Baltimore (4-2)

4:05 p.m. ET (FOX)

I don't know if Drew Brees believes in Voodoo dolls, but I'm assuming he does, because he lives in New Orleans, and I'm also assuming that someone has a Voodoo doll of him that they only use whenever he's playing the Ravens. In his 18-year career, there is only one team that Brees hasn't beaten and that team is the Ravens. To put that in perspective: The Houston Texans didn't even exist when Brees' career began in 2001, but he has a win over them. Brees also has a win over the Saints even though he's played for them for the past 12 years.

Somehow, the Ravens are the one and only team that Brees hasn't been able to beat. I can't cook anything more complicated than a pop tart, Zoolander can't turn left and Brees can't beat the Ravens. These problems aren't fixable, you just have to live with them. Brees also has the worst luck. Of all the years he could be trying to end his streak, this is not the year to do it. The Ravens arguably have their best defense since 2000, they're only giving up 12.8 points per game and NO ONE has scored a second-half touchdown on them all season. The only thing that could stop the Ravens defense at this point is if authorities in Tennessee decide to arrest them for what they did to Marcus Mariota on Sunday, because I'm pretty sure that was illegal. I don't think Brees is going to get sacked 11 times, but I do think he's going to struggle, unless he somehow figures out who has his Voodoo doll.

The pick: Ravens 22-19 over Saints...https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/news/nfl-week-7-picks-jets-upset-vikings-ravens-continue-dominance-over-drew-brees/

Unleash then Hounds!

The Saints will be thin at guard against the NFL's No. 1-ranked defense on Sunday in Baltimore. Starting LG Andrus Peat has been ruled out with a concussion. Pro Bowl RG Larry Warford is questionable with a back injury. And backup G/T Jermon Bushrod is questionable after missing two days of practice for non-injury reasons. Warford practiced on a limited basis Friday after missing Thursday's practice....http://www.espn.com/nfl/team/_/name/no/new-orleans-saints

Ravens cornerback Marlon Humphrey injured thigh Thursday; status vs. Saints uncertain

Ravens starting cornerback Marlon Humphrey injured his thigh in practice Thursday, coach John Harbaugh said, and his status for Sunday’s game against the New Orleans Saints is uncertain.

Humphrey was listed on the injury report for the first time this season as a limited participant in Thursday’s practice. Harbaugh said Friday that the injury is “getting worked on. We'll just see how it goes at this point.”

He declined to say whether the injury was of greater significance given the opponent. The Saints lead the league in scoring (36 points per game) and are third in passing yards per game (320.8); Humphrey is the team’s top-rated corner and No. 24 overall in the NFL, according to Pro Football Focus.

That makes things considerably more difficult.
