cravnravn Posted December 14, 2010 Posted December 14, 2010 Its not working out with the "blindside". Once again, Bazooka Joe got pummeled, fortunately no fumble this time, Oher for some reason is not picking up the corner blitz, and on TV he looks like hes 5 yards away from Oher. Quote
papasmurfbell Posted December 14, 2010 Posted December 14, 2010 2nd yr OT. Also he still has a knee injury. Quote
cravnravn Posted December 14, 2010 Author Posted December 14, 2010 2nd yr OT. Also he still has a knee injury. Injuries are not an excuse. if hes hurt..Next man up!!, if hes really injured, hes not helping this team. Quote
ForceEight Posted December 14, 2010 Posted December 14, 2010 Oher is fine. Big deal, he's missed a couple of safety (not corner) blitzes. That is one individual type of mistake and can be corrected with time and study. Same with the false starts (at least I hope). There are a lot of other things Oher does at least as well as most other left tackles. He's going to be fine. And we're past the point of paying Gaither. That stone has turned. Quote
cravnravn Posted December 14, 2010 Author Posted December 14, 2010 And we're past the point of paying Gaither. That stone has turned. No way, just look at the run production and the number of sacks, granted I know not all 32 sacks are on the O-Line but I bet most of them are. Quote
ForceEight Posted December 14, 2010 Posted December 14, 2010 I know that. I'm just saying that Gaither is too far gone, out of the plans, and unlikely to come back. Quote
ForceEight Posted December 14, 2010 Posted December 14, 2010 I don't think they want him. He has pissed off way too many people. Quote
yagersports Posted December 14, 2010 Posted December 14, 2010 Gaither has mentioned that he would love to come back with the Ravens. We'll see how that rounds out when it comes time to get paid. We should pay the guy however, he's deadly in the running game. Quote
papasmurfbell Posted December 14, 2010 Posted December 14, 2010 He will have to tuck his tail between his legs and take a Ravens friendly deal. His childish attitude will not be tolerated. That said I don't think he will do that so he will go to whoever will give him the biggest deal. Quote

yagersports Posted December 14, 2010 Posted December 14, 2010 No, Harbaugh needs to be the one tucking his tail. I kind of agree here, however I'd like to know more about what happened. I believe the last coach who ran all of his Pro Bowlers out of town ended up unemployed. I wonder how McDaniels feels about his moves now? He's probably too arrogant to admit he could have done things differently. It seems pretty clear that Oher doesn't equal Gaither. Gaither should be paid whether it's by us or another team. Quote
papasmurfbell Posted December 14, 2010 Posted December 14, 2010 Oher has less experience also. Next season he could very well show he is better. Quote
yagersports Posted December 14, 2010 Posted December 14, 2010 Oher has less experience also. Next season he could very well show he is better. I can't deny that logic, that is a distinct possibility. I do think that Oher releases into (backwards) pass coverage far quicker than Gaither. Quote

papasmurfbell Posted December 15, 2010 Posted December 15, 2010 I am commenting that the fatalism that he will never do it is rather premature. Quote
