papasmurfbell Posted April 29, 2019 Posted April 29, 2019 But almost everyone else on the planet already did. 1.2 bil Quote
GrubberRaven Posted April 30, 2019 Author Posted April 30, 2019 It's great! It really is. Lots of liberties taken with some plot points and I ever got a little tear in my eye in several moments. Quote
papasmurfbell Posted April 30, 2019 Posted April 30, 2019 I really loved it. Spoiler starting now.......What is the connection that had Thanos knowing about Tony specifically? That was not answered. Also the way the ham handedly had every female hero help Capt Marvel at the end. It was not well handled. Amazing how they pulled all the old stories together to make this work. Quote
GrubberRaven Posted May 1, 2019 Author Posted May 1, 2019 Thanos had the Chitauri/Loki to report back to him, is my assumption. Fan service/SJW service...I chuckled to myself when it happened. Kind of like in Captain Marvel where the Skrulls morphed into a immigration storyline...whatever. To add to that, people are complaining that Thor's storyline/comedy was fat shaming. People bitched that the females outside of Black Widow didn't have any screen time. It was about the original six. I'm convinced that social media or media in general, just exists to find new ways to be angry...<exit soapbox> Quote
GrubberRaven Posted May 1, 2019 Author Posted May 1, 2019 Oh and my biggest question...are we just taking off from 2023 now? Did Peter and all his friends get dusted and now they have finish school? So confusing... Quote
papasmurfbell Posted May 4, 2019 Posted May 4, 2019 Yeah they have to finish school. But that was another issue I had although small. Ned should have graduated. How many of them dusted. Quote
Spen Posted May 4, 2019 Posted May 4, 2019 I really liked it. Anybody that was bothered by the female escort for Captain Marvel at the end is probably a reason why they put stuff like that in. I mostly avoided spoilers so I was surprised at a number of things. Fantastic cold open. The entrance of the heroes returning at the end. Tony and Peter hugging.Brie's adorable smile at Peter. Lots of really cool stuff. Quote
papasmurfbell Posted May 5, 2019 Posted May 5, 2019 There was so much fan service. They set so many scenes up in past films. It was really well done. I wonder if Tiga Whatiti is going to be the new #1 director for them now that the Russos have left. Quote
vmax Posted May 5, 2019 Posted May 5, 2019 Took the family and saw it last night and all of us thought it was very enjoyable.Of course I left confused about a lot of things but then again, life in general confuses me. Quote

I'm confused. What female escort? 1 Quote
papasmurfbell Posted May 7, 2019 Posted May 7, 2019 Capt Marvel gets the Gauntlet and then every female hero comes to give her an escort. Even Pepper and Suri who are not regular fighters. Quote
papasmurfbell Posted May 7, 2019 Posted May 7, 2019 Who will be the next big bad that the MCU will be leading us to? Maybe Galactus. Quote
GrubberRaven Posted May 7, 2019 Author Posted May 7, 2019 Who will be the next big bad that the MCU will be leading us to? Maybe Galactus. Ohhhh...yeah, it was jarring, but I chuckled. I really want my daughter to see these movies, but I'm still going to wait. Lots of people say Doom. Quote
papasmurfbell Posted May 8, 2019 Posted May 8, 2019 Doom will be introed against the Fantastic Four. I expect a huge battle against Black Panther. But I don't see him as a big bad like Thanos for a long while. Quote
vmax Posted May 10, 2019 Posted May 10, 2019 Nothing can kill Galactus. To him, the Avengers are like microbes on a coffee roll. Quote
deeshopper Posted June 13, 2019 Posted June 13, 2019 Capt Marvel gets the Gauntlet and then every female hero comes to give her an escort. Even Pepper and Suri who are not regular fighters. I don't understand why people are so triggered by this. The entire movie was a throwback to every other Marvel film. This scene was no different. Quote
papasmurfbell Posted June 13, 2019 Posted June 13, 2019 It was just ham handed. Thats it. I am fine with a female escort but all of them seems illogical. Pepper just came to the show. Suri has doen little fighting. These are just a few examples. Take the end of Infinity War when the female characters came to save Scarlet Witch. It was fare fewer and it was not ham handed. Quote
deeshopper Posted June 15, 2019 Posted June 15, 2019 Pepper fought in Iron Man 3. Suri fought in Infinity War. Quote
papasmurfbell Posted June 16, 2019 Posted June 16, 2019 Pepper fought a little. Suri came in at the end. Other than Tony who has seen Pepper? Other than Okoye and T'Challa who has seen Suri? You have to know you can rely on that person. Quote
deeshopper Posted June 16, 2019 Posted June 16, 2019 It looked like every person in the world that was dusted was brought in to fight. Why so triggered by these two women? Quote
